We had a fine stay but I wouldn't classify the hotel as 5-star. More like 4. In our first room one window wouldn't stay closed and there was water on the floor from condensation. The second room also had ill-fitting windows. Thankfully, street noise was minimal. But the constant inflow of humidity means the AC runs non-stop and water drips from the AC vent, plus the bathroom has no vent so air circulation is an issue. The room furnishings are not impressive. The gym has a few antiquated cardio machines (two treadmills and one stepper) and a small number of dumbbells. The rooftop pool and bar are beautiful but the music level mimics a rock concert so you don't actually want to stay long. At the rooftop bar at dinner there were many staff but no one moving themselves to actually provide service. At breakfast it was also difficult to get the servers' attention though that improved after the first day. My pancakes were completely burnt on one side at our first breakfast. The huevos criollos were very good, however. The hotel rooms were quiet. The bathrooms are large but the bedroom felt cramped.
