Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers (Paris, Île-de-France) 7 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Part of the new, youthful, and shockingly hip breed of Parisian luxury boutique hotels, the Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers is classic Haussmann on the outside, and as contemporary as they come on the inside, thanks to designer Raphael Navot’s eclectic tastes. It’s inspired by the famous engineering college just down the road, which means it’s grounded in Parisian tradition, but one with a specific character and a distinctive point of view." - Tablet Hotels

We had a fantastic stay! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Le Marais. The hotel itself is beautiful with such a great vibe. Our room with a balcony was absolutely amazing – such a treat to wake up and step outside. The service was excellent, with genuinely friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. And the rooftop bar is simply outstanding – definitely a highlight of our stay. Highly recommended!

What could be better than sitting on your own balcony sipping wine and watching Parisians wander back and forth eating their jambon beurre or wearing the latest fashion on their way to a hip Bistro? Both possible at the National Des Arts et Meters. We stayed in a superior room, with balcony. It was spacious with crisp cotton sheets and a great shower area. Onsite is an atmospheric bar and a very stylish Italian restaurant. We ate there one night and the Pasta with cheese and pepper sauce was delicious. With a popular roof-terrace bar, the hotel has everything for the perfect Parisian break. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, we contacted the hotel for transport to and from CDG(fixed rate.) Overall our 4 night stay was an absolute delight. We would definitely stay again.

Nice enough, but very LOUD! This hotel is located in what is touted as a “lively” part of town. I think if you’re young, and in Paris looking for a party scene, this would be perfect. For families or those wanting a more refined and tranquil setting, steer clear of this hotel and this area. The hotel itself has a very active bar scene in the evenings, especially Thursday - Sunday. When I arrived at 11:15PM on a Saturday night, I thought I’d been dropped off at the wrong place: people were spilling onto the street, and the music was absolutely pumping. At reception, they happily told me they have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays, but not to worry: he finishes at 2am. This is not my idea of a great hotel atmosphere! The following afternoon (Sunday) the party moved to the restaurant across the street, which then had its own live DJ and a huge crowd in full party mode. Luckily this wrapped up pretty early, and I will say that even on the Saturday we couldn’t bear the music in our room. Overall the room was comfortable and quite spacious. We also had a lovely balcony, which was perfect for a morning coffee. Everthing in the hotel does feel either a little worn / lower quality, and I think you could get a better room and location for the same price. The benefit of this area is proximity to an amazing selection of reasonably-priced restaurants, and some super shopping too. But it’s a bit of a hike to many of the other parts of Paris you might want to visit.

The hotel was very nice, with an exceptionally charming room that was clean and well-organized. The service at the reception desk was impeccable, and the staff was friendly and professional. The hotel bar was a pleasant spot with nice music that created a relaxing atmosphere without being intrusive. Overall, everything was perfectly fine! The location was also quite convenient.

We just stayed at Hotel National Des Arts et Metiers and absolutely loved our stay! We stayed in one of the studio rooms which was excellent. Eduardo really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we had hoped it would be. We are grateful for his assistance. We will definitely be back! The location of the hotel is great.

I went to the rooftop at Arts et Métiers for an event and it was a fantastic experience. The setting is stunning, with access to a room where the second part of the event took place. The quality of the food and drinks was excellent. I would definitely recommend this venue. The reception area downstairs also looked very inviting, with what seemed to be a great dining atmosphere.

Google
Great experience in Paris between July 11 and 18 2025 and I specially want to thank Eduardo for his great service! The bar is great in Italian restaurant on the first floor and the Food is delicious, staff super nice and welcoming. I highly recommend to stay in that hotel which is not cheap, but the breakfast is good and delicious, and in a great area of Paris, not far from many restaurants, bars and boulangeries. The fun best part at night is the rooftop with bar..with great view of the city (include the Eiffel Tower).

I had to find a new hotel due to the air traffic control strike in Paris. I wanted to be nearby. Tania, at reception, was exceptional! She showed me a couple of rooms and was extremely empathetic and helpful. The room she chose for me was perfect. On departure, another female colleague saw I was struggling to find my Uber and was equally helpful. Thank you.

Yelp
BED BUGS - I was completely unaware this hotel is infested with bed bugs, I can't speak to anyone for a refund, they continue hanging up the phone.

Yelp
Pros: -Fantastic location/neighborhood, about 14 minutes from the center of Marais by food, felt like a local here -gorgeous design, especially common spaces -beautiful views if you're on the church side Cons: -part time concierge which is something first time guests rely on, require and pay for. We were told the front desk staff could handle everything until we arrived at a restaurant thinking we had a reservation but in fact it was made in error for three months later!! -lobby is basically a club at night -even earlier on the lobby bar gets incredibly crowded and there's no special location or consideration for hotel guests, if you can find a seat great, if not...oh well -rooms are teeny tiny and when I asked to see a larger room I was met with an employee insinuating I was seeking an upgrade which I was told is NOT what they do under any circumstances. I was a little taken aback by this !!!!! Not only is it not nice, it's not professional!! -a couple of insignificant things mysteriously disappeared from the room; reading glasses, earrings and a ring.....my bad on the latter for not using the safety deposit box. costume jewelry but nonetheless MINE! Despite the fact that two of the employees behind the desk really go the extra mile, overall the vibe at this hotel could be friendlier and the service could be better. You get the impression the staff is overworked and probably under appreciated.

Yelp
Paris, France is a beautiful place however, if you're American... good luck. I came to Paris for 3 days and decided to stay at this hotel. Although it's quite beautiful inside and out, the service is awful. You almost have to apologize for asking questions, asking for service. Housekeeping doesn't do a great job at cleaning your room either. Trash is left behind, and sometimes they won't replace your towels, even when you follow their guidelines. The food at the restaurant at most, was ok. The only positive thing about this hotel, is that it's in the middle of such a cute town. It's best to walk around and see things as the town has a lot of choices for food and entertainment. We tried making a reservation at their restaurant and were told it was all booked- because of my suspicion, I had my friend who speaks French make it for me, and guess what? There was plenty of open seats. If that doesn't tell you everything, then idk what else to say. EXTREMELY disappointed in this hotel. The prices for the rooms are expensive- which you expect amazing service to come with it. It's unfortunate that they don't deliver. My best recommendation is to find another hotel, where they are happy to help you, and don't get annoyed of your questions.

Yelp
Stayed here with my family for a week and it has been an incredible stay. We got interconnecting rooms, which were convenient. The decor is super cool, but very comfortable. The beds were like sleeping on clouds. We kept the large windows in the room open most of the time, it was so nice! We had one room that overlooked the middle of the hotel and one room that overlooked the street, on the 5th floor. Both were very quiet even with the restaurant and rooftop bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a well equipped gym, which can be hard to come by in Europe. The rooftop bar is beautiful, especially during sunset! The restaurant has phenomenal food and the Herbarium is a lot of fun - they have live DJs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Can't wait to come back! As for the restaurant, we started at the rooftop bar while we waited for our dinner reservation. Beautiful views, especially at sunset. There is minimal seating and the drinks are expensive (20+ €) but a good space for pictures and socializing. We had a reservation for dinner at 10pm but when we arrived, we were told we would have to wait until 10:30pm, despite there being many tables open. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited in the Herbariam. It is also a very cool space but do not expect much service. Our rose was served warm but we were told we could keep the bottle in the ice and wait for to it to cool. We kept asking about our table and were willing to eat in the Herbariam, as it was already so late in the evening. Our table was finally ready at 10:40pm, 40 minutes later than our reservation. We ordered the mozzarella to share, which was delicious but definitely very big! It was plenty for 5 people. The pastas were also very good. The only complaint is the service. Our waiter, Abram, was incredible - very friendly, helpful, accommodating. The rest of the staff, however, was very slow and rude. Would definitely come back for the food.
