Nice enough, but very LOUD! This hotel is located in what is touted as a “lively” part of town. I think if you’re young, and in Paris looking for a party scene, this would be perfect. For families or those wanting a more refined and tranquil setting, steer clear of this hotel and this area. The hotel itself has a very active bar scene in the evenings, especially Thursday - Sunday. When I arrived at 11:15PM on a Saturday night, I thought I’d been dropped off at the wrong place: people were spilling onto the street, and the music was absolutely pumping. At reception, they happily told me they have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays, but not to worry: he finishes at 2am. This is not my idea of a great hotel atmosphere! The following afternoon (Sunday) the party moved to the restaurant across the street, which then had its own live DJ and a huge crowd in full party mode. Luckily this wrapped up pretty early, and I will say that even on the Saturday we couldn’t bear the music in our room. Overall the room was comfortable and quite spacious. We also had a lovely balcony, which was perfect for a morning coffee. Everthing in the hotel does feel either a little worn / lower quality, and I think you could get a better room and location for the same price. The benefit of this area is proximity to an amazing selection of reasonably-priced restaurants, and some super shopping too. But it’s a bit of a hike to many of the other parts of Paris you might want to visit.

My husband and I had a pleasant, though not exceptional, stay at this hotel. While it offered a comfortable experience, it did not quite measure up to the standard we’ve come to expect from other four-star hotels we’ve visited throughout Europe, including those in Paris. Our arrival set a slightly muted tone, as the check-in process was not particularly warm or welcoming. We also encountered a minor issue with our television that, unfortunately, was not resolved during our stay. However, we appreciated that upon checkout, the staff had noted our feedback, offered a sincere apology, and kindly gifted us one of the hotel’s signature scented candles — a thoughtful gesture that did not go unnoticed. We did thoroughly enjoy our dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, which was a true highlight of our visit. One detail worth mentioning is the absence of USB outlets in the room, which felt surprising for a hotel of this caliber. Including such conveniences would certainly make the experience more accommodating for international travelers.

I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. During my recent visit, a significant amount of money was stolen from my room while I was out for the day. I reported this immediately to staff and followed up multiple times during my stay on the situation. While the managers Rodrigo and Martine initially promised to review the room access logs and internal footage, I never received any formal documentation of them actually doing this, nor was the issue taken seriously. They ultimately dismissed the situation, citing their policy that anything not in the safe is not their responsibility — despite the fact that this was a 4-star property where a certain level of trust and security should be expected. Looking into this further, I found that other guests at sister properties managed by the same group have reported similar issues. Rodrigo's claim that only housekeepers and maids accessed the room does not dismiss the fact that these people have also stolen my belongings. This experience ruined my time in Paris. If you value security and trust in a hotel that you're staying in, then there are other options to go with. One of them NOT being Hôtel National Des Arts et Métiers.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Hotel National Des Arts et Metiers in Paris, France. The enjoyment was felt across the board whether it be the food and drinks, the accommodations, the staff making things so welcoming and at ease, the prime location, or the layout and hip vibe of the place. I will certainly remember the sunsets from the rooftop deck to refreshing drinks and happy people. What a stay!

Google
This hotel would have been “great” if it wasn’t for the ultra loud music running Friday and Saturday from 10:00pm to 2:00am coming from the hotel Bar/Disco. It is completely unacceptable that you pay 400 euros a night and need to accept that you can’t sleep properly until 2:00am because the bright mind of the owner chose to prioritize people having a few drinks downstairs than a fully booked hotel with guests paying +400 euros/night. I have definitely never seen such a thing before.

We stayed here for 6 nights. The location was very good and felt safe. The hotel itself was lovely. We really liked the vibe. We booked a superior room which I liked very much. Very clean. We had breakfast 2 mornings which is perhaps a little expensive but very nice and plenty of choice. The staff were great, especially on our last day 18th March when we had a problem. The staff were so helpful. Thank you so much.

The hotel is not bad, but not for this price. Breakfasts are poor + same food every day. The music on the rooftop is very loud until 1am every day + until 2am on weekends. The odor in the lobby is very pungent. I was also annoyed by the constant knocking on the door of 100 people because of all sorts of nonsense, especially on the day of the check out, I had to tell everyone 5 times that it’s only 11, I will leave on time, stop distracting me.

I came on a Thursday evening just for a tiramisu. I was told to sit anywhere, so I chose a table in the restaurant area. It was late, the place was nearly empty, and I planned to stay for just 10 minutes.||Shortly after, the waitress (very polite) told me the manager didn’t want me there because I was "only having dessert." Since when is dessert not part of the restaurant experience?|I went to speak with the manager myself. He explained, but it was nonsense - no valuable arguments, just cold rigidity. He eventually let me stay, but showed no warmth or consideration. I decided to leave.||It’s not the first time I’ve been here, but it’s the first time I’ve come across someone with such low standards and poor manners. Honestly, this kind of attitude from a manager costs nothing - except customers!

Yelp
BED BUGS - I was completely unaware this hotel is infested with bed bugs, I can't speak to anyone for a refund, they continue hanging up the phone.

Yelp
Pros: -Fantastic location/neighborhood, about 14 minutes from the center of Marais by food, felt like a local here -gorgeous design, especially common spaces -beautiful views if you're on the church side Cons: -part time concierge which is something first time guests rely on, require and pay for. We were told the front desk staff could handle everything until we arrived at a restaurant thinking we had a reservation but in fact it was made in error for three months later!! -lobby is basically a club at night -even earlier on the lobby bar gets incredibly crowded and there's no special location or consideration for hotel guests, if you can find a seat great, if not...oh well -rooms are teeny tiny and when I asked to see a larger room I was met with an employee insinuating I was seeking an upgrade which I was told is NOT what they do under any circumstances. I was a little taken aback by this !!!!! Not only is it not nice, it's not professional!! -a couple of insignificant things mysteriously disappeared from the room; reading glasses, earrings and a ring.....my bad on the latter for not using the safety deposit box. costume jewelry but nonetheless MINE! Despite the fact that two of the employees behind the desk really go the extra mile, overall the vibe at this hotel could be friendlier and the service could be better. You get the impression the staff is overworked and probably under appreciated.

Yelp
Paris, France is a beautiful place however, if you're American... good luck. I came to Paris for 3 days and decided to stay at this hotel. Although it's quite beautiful inside and out, the service is awful. You almost have to apologize for asking questions, asking for service. Housekeeping doesn't do a great job at cleaning your room either. Trash is left behind, and sometimes they won't replace your towels, even when you follow their guidelines. The food at the restaurant at most, was ok. The only positive thing about this hotel, is that it's in the middle of such a cute town. It's best to walk around and see things as the town has a lot of choices for food and entertainment. We tried making a reservation at their restaurant and were told it was all booked- because of my suspicion, I had my friend who speaks French make it for me, and guess what? There was plenty of open seats. If that doesn't tell you everything, then idk what else to say. EXTREMELY disappointed in this hotel. The prices for the rooms are expensive- which you expect amazing service to come with it. It's unfortunate that they don't deliver. My best recommendation is to find another hotel, where they are happy to help you, and don't get annoyed of your questions.

Yelp
Stayed here with my family for a week and it has been an incredible stay. We got interconnecting rooms, which were convenient. The decor is super cool, but very comfortable. The beds were like sleeping on clouds. We kept the large windows in the room open most of the time, it was so nice! We had one room that overlooked the middle of the hotel and one room that overlooked the street, on the 5th floor. Both were very quiet even with the restaurant and rooftop bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a well equipped gym, which can be hard to come by in Europe. The rooftop bar is beautiful, especially during sunset! The restaurant has phenomenal food and the Herbarium is a lot of fun - they have live DJs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Can't wait to come back! As for the restaurant, we started at the rooftop bar while we waited for our dinner reservation. Beautiful views, especially at sunset. There is minimal seating and the drinks are expensive (20+ €) but a good space for pictures and socializing. We had a reservation for dinner at 10pm but when we arrived, we were told we would have to wait until 10:30pm, despite there being many tables open. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited in the Herbariam. It is also a very cool space but do not expect much service. Our rose was served warm but we were told we could keep the bottle in the ice and wait for to it to cool. We kept asking about our table and were willing to eat in the Herbariam, as it was already so late in the evening. Our table was finally ready at 10:40pm, 40 minutes later than our reservation. We ordered the mozzarella to share, which was delicious but definitely very big! It was plenty for 5 people. The pastas were also very good. The only complaint is the service. Our waiter, Abram, was incredible - very friendly, helpful, accommodating. The rest of the staff, however, was very slow and rude. Would definitely come back for the food.
