We stayed 8 nights here and spend around 47 000 pesos. Which is a large sum of money. And overall, we are very disappointed with our stay and the experience.
The good points:
⁃ The location of the hotel. Very nice for exploring CDMX. The design of the hotel, a beautiful place. And the security we felt very safe here.
⁃ The room was OK. Spacious, confortable.
⁃ The housekeeping of the room was perfect. Thanks to lady who cleaned our room everyday.
The bad points:
⁃ The noise of the AC. All day and all night. The AC are installed on the roof of the room. Not the smartest decision. It’s making so much noise.
⁃ The breakfast. It is really bad for the price we paid. There is nothing to eat. A few slice of cheese and ham. Sometimes, a few sausages. And a cup of fruit. Really really bad. It’s unacceptable to pay this much for a non-existent breakfast. Also, some mornings, there is only 3 sausages for the all breakfast and all the guests of the hotel. We had to go the bakery every mornings of our stay while we have paid for a breakfast.
⁃ Our biggest inconvenience was the person in charge of the breakfast. The rudest staff member ever. He is not nice, he does not say hello or bye, he doesn’t not help. He is on his phone all morning while nothing is prepared for the breakfast. He does not understand English and he do no effort to help. He is eating in front us while there is not so much food in the buffet. One day we found, an eaten sausage in the breakfast buffet. The tables are not set, we have to do everything. He made our stay here so unpleasant. The buffet is not ready at 7, sometimes he is not even here. The description card for the food on the buffet are never installed. This guy is a shame. Whereas, one day (on Saturday) we had a American guy (I think) preparing the breakfast it was a totally different experience: helpful, buffet ready and the tables we set. He even prepared our coffees whereas the other one does nothing.
For the price we paid, we expected a better experience, the breakfast quality and experience was so so bad. It’s a shame. It ruined our experience here.
