Hotel Park | Best places to stay in Split

"Split’s oldest purpose-built hotel (dating from 1921, hence the Art Deco details) is set in gardens with palms and a small pool. It sits directly above Bacvice Bay and beach, where locals play picigin (a mysterious ball game) in shallow waters by the beach. The beach is just across the road from the hotel, with some of the rooms boasting lovely sea views. It’s ideally placed for cultural sightseeing, lying a 10-minute stroll from Diocletian’s Palace. For an insider’s view of Dalmatian cuisine, join the chef shopping at the morning open-air markets, then enjoy a private Chef’s Table dinner in the evening. The hotel spa also has an unusual Salt Room – inhaling its saline air is said to relieve lung ailments. " - Jane Foster

Absolutely amazing… for me - the best hotel in Split I don’t even know where to begin… this hotel completely blew me away. From the moment I arrived, everything was just perfect. The staff is incredibly kind, genuinely helpful and so well trained. You can really feel that they love what they do and they go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. The breakfast was out of this world… incredibly rich, fresh and with so much variety that every morning felt like a little feast. I have rarely experienced such a high quality buffet. The cleanliness, the beautiful interior, the breathtaking view and the perfect location… I honestly loved every single thing about this hotel. It just has that special something. I would never stay anywhere else in Split. An absolute five star experience in every possible way.

Firstly had a charge on my card for the mini bar which i only noticed once home even tho the mini bar was untouched so check for false claims from house keeping as they will charge your card!!. ||Hotel is located in quiet neighbourhood about a 10 minute walk from the old town and port.||Staff were all friendly and hotel is clean. FYI try get a front facing room or you eill be looking onto a building like me. Shower head is weirdly bigger than the bathtub so if you use it the floor will end up soaked unsure why a 5 star hotel has such a poor bathroom design.||There is also a beach next to it which was busy but didnt look the cleanest.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It’s perfectly located—just a short stroll from both the port and the charming old town, making it an ideal base for exploring without needing transport.||The bedrooms were a real highlight: modern, beautifully refreshed, and thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. From the plush bedding to the sleek bathroom fittings, everything felt clean, fresh, and well-maintained.||The pool area, while lovely, was a little on the compact side. On a couple of occasions, we did need to wait for sun loungers to become available, but once settled, it was a relaxing spot to soak up the sun or enjoy a dip.||What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their attentiveness and friendly approach made a real difference and contributed to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.||Overall, this hotel delivers on location, comfort, and service. A great choice for couples or small groups looking for a stylish and convenient place to stay. We had a lovely time and would absolutely return.

Hotel Park is a small and cozy five star hotel with excellent facilities and a high quality restaurant. The hot tub and pool in the peaceful garden create a calm and relaxing atmosphere with sun loungers and an outdoor bar available for guests. Our room had access to a small balcony that led to a shared terrace with private sunbeds and tables reserved for the sea and pool facing rooms located on the first floor above the garden level. The service was outstanding and the staff were always friendly and helpful. A perfect hotel for those seeking a romantic and tranquil experience in a luxurious setting.

We received a warm welcome with wine , chocolates and fruits however the whole stay was below average. The lobby is so tiny I had to check twice if that is the hotel I booked for such high prices. Warming they don’t have a dedicated concierge. The person at the reception was not helpful as well. This staff pointed us to a few tour companies and told us to figure it out with them. No solid recommendations. The person who is at the lobby helping you with luggage and doors was surprisingly really helpful. They tried to help us. Biggest problem is the infrastructure, the rooms are tiny and the sea view is through a tiney window of the room. It seems as if we want to peak at the sea. The toilet was built for someone who is really tall I had to hop to reach the hooks on the side of the doors and found it difficult to reach the plug points or even to get out of the bath tub felt like I was going to slip because of the height difference. Also I want to take a moment to disciple how sad the breakfast buffet was. The tables were not set with basic cutlery ketchup or any condiments. The food looked really old and tasted old too. The croissants were saggy ad waffle was tough. The fruits didn’t feel fresh as well. For so much money very sad experience.

Brief stay but wonderful. |Gorgeous Hotel it is really central, especially near the port for boat access. Beach and restaurants nearby. |Pool area with hot tub refreshing and classy with towel service. Sea view nice moments to relax.|Staff service first class everyone friendly and helpful with directions to walk to old town and with sightseeing etc my son wanted to go shopping so staff sorted us out with where to go etc |The chap around the pool brought us lunch to our sunbeds, and the food was superb so much so, we'll be returning to stay here again soon.|

Currently staying here now and couldn’t be happier! Amazing and gracious staff. Breakfast is great as are the cocktails! Close to old town and all the beach. Highly recommended it!

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Park Split with our two young children. The hotel definitely doesn’t position itself as a “family first hotel”; nonetheless, a lot was available to accommodate family with children. We had a duplex room on the top floor, with two big beds (one of which was a sofa bed) and a baby cot. There was plenty of space. The only “minus” of the room is that since it’s facing the public beach, many youngsters were partying and screaming on the beach till early morning. In spite of the noise cancelling windows and walls, we could still hear some of those noises. Breakfast / lunch / dinner at the hotel was decent. Options were a bit limited - especially we had just spent a week at Valamar before Hotel Park Split, it was quite pricey for what it was as well (then again, this is the case for all touristy places in Croatia in the summer), but food was tasty, and staff was very considerate with different formats of baby chairs available for kids at different ages. Overall the hotel facility was a bit outdated, and the decoration style looked like it was straight out from the 90s. But service, staff, house keeping quality and cleanliness were all top notch.
