Where to Stay Near White Sands National Park

"This stay isn’t in New Mexico, it’s in Texas. However, the iconic 108-year-old, 351-room hotel designed by architect Henry Trost, is only 1.5 hours away from the park, and gives guests a soulful El Paso stay. Those looking for views ranging from local to international can enjoy panoramas of the Franklin Mountains, downtown El Paso, or Mexico pending room selection. Hotel Paso del Norte is steeped in a diverse triad of cultures: Texan, Mexican, and North American. The cross-cultural fusion can be felt in the interior design and furnishings, and tasted at both the southern comfort fusion restaurant, Sabor, as well as the upscale West Texas-inspired 1700° Steakhouse. Post White Sands adventure, wind down with a drink at the towering 25-foot Tiffany-style stained glass dome bar encircled in gold crown molding. Plan to be pampered with a spa day on-site at Desert Spirit Spa the following day."

The Best Things to Do and Where to Stay in Texas | Eater

"A 17-story historic landmark originally built in 1912 and reopened after an extensive renovation as part of a boutique Marriott collection, slated to include a splashy rooftop pool and new restaurant while preserving original mahogany carvings and a dramatic 25-foot Tiffany-style stained-glass dome in the bar." - Eater Staff

Amazing historic hotel and architectural masterpiece. This place exemplifies the greatness of Marriott’s Autograph brand. My standard king room was spacious and beautifully appointed. Enjoyed walking around the first two floors and thought it could not get any better until I went up to the terrace and pool on the tenth floor. The staff was exceedingly polite and eager to help. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Experience ended with a courtesy ride to the airport… will be returning!

I always have enjoyed staying at this historic luxury hotel in the middle of downtown El Paso. The iconic hotel designed by noted architect Henry C. Trost opened in 1912 and retains many of the finest touches employed in those days -- from the bas reliefs and marble columns to the giant Tiffany-style dome that defines the class of this architectural marvel. Marriott has updated the hotel to make it the utmost in comfort. The service is excellent. My wife and I especially appreciated the attention and dinner and drink suggestions from bartender John Carlos at the Dome Bar. You can also enjoy a cocktail in the 10th floor bar, located next to the swimming pool. If you're in the mood to splurge, the 1700 Steakhouse will not disappoint. Beds and linens are comfortable and the rooms are quite spacious. We shall return.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Paseo Del Norte in downtown El Paso. I wish I could have stayed longer at this iconic and historic hotel, but I was on a business trip and had to get back. The hotel was highly recommended by a friend and colleague who grew up in El Paso, and I am glad that I took his advice to stay there. For an exceptional hotel, the rate was very reasonable. The suite was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The staff were all courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet at the Sabor restaurant on the ground floor was outstanding. I especially enjoyed the rooftop pool with its exceptional view of downtown and the desert mountains in the distance. I would definitely stay at Hotel Paseo Del Norte again as well as recommend it to family and friends.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and always had a smile. ||||Several times staff members went out of their way to help us both. An example of this that comes to my mind is on one day one of our trip a valet member helped me carry a heavy case of water to our room after he saw me struggling. ||||Also my husband and I are people who like things clean and tidy. During our stay the housekeeping team made sure we had extra towels and took care of trash pickup throughout the week. We also ordered food to the room and the Room service team was fast and made sure the food was hot and delicious upon arrival. ||||Lastly, during our stay my husband booked me a spa day and it was life changing! The spa staff and the masseuse I encountered were very friendly and made sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed. ||||Overall the whole experience felt so easy and comfortable. We both really appreciated the amazing experience and we can’t wait to stay here again next time we’re in El Paso. Highly recommend!

Hands down best vacation! We had a wonderful experience at check in while celebrating our anniversary Brianna was super helpful she recommended places to eat and have a drink. We also got a massage in the hotel and it was amazing again check in was awesome and we felt so welcomed. I highly recommend so much that I’m surprising my sister in law with a stay. I’ll definitely recommend this place to all my family.

I was there for their Sunday bunch. It was fantastic. The food was so good and there were so many choices: carving station, omelet station, fruits, desserts, and so much more. The atmosphere is very conducive to conversation and still plenty of space for bigger groups. They even validate parking if u park in the hotel garage. I'm definitely going back.

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of El Paso. Walking distance to a Chihuahua game, and many restaurants and bars. The food in the hotel was also amazing. I usually do not rave about hotel food, but this place had many great options, and it was worth the extra dollars. The coffee shop was amazing with great customer service. The roof top bar was also amazing to see the views of the hills and Mexico was amazing. The area was safe we walked to and from the bar/restaurant in a neighborhood. The hotel was clean and updated. The interior was a great blend of modern and old world together. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is staying in El Paso for a night, a weekend or more. I plan to come back hopefully to catch a Chihuahua game or maybe a USL soccer game. The hotel was also easy to get around the city, with easy freeway access for in and out of town.

We had an unforgettable weekend at the hotel. Our room was perfect, far away from the elevator, with a beautiful view of the hills of Mexico. |Service was great, not only on the lodge section but also at the Cafe, the Spa, and their three restaurants.|Sabor has a great selection of dishes on their menu. |It is loud! the music, the people, children running around wild, but it was the place for our breakfasts. On our last day we had a non pleasant experience with a server, he act like we were an inconvenience to him. The Steakhouse was a fabulous experience.

Yelp
Oops! I thought I rated them while I was there. Wonderful staff, beautifully decorated and perfectly located. We come here for work and actually try to pick this trip up just so we can stay here. The bed was even comfortable and there was lots of water pressure and hot water. For those that travel a lot, they know that's a real issue. LOL Lots of wonderful restaurants in walking distance and there's a speak easy in one of the boot stores that recently opened. Look around the custom boots to see if you can find your way in.

Yelp
The breakfast here is lovely, worth booking a room with it included. Fresh fruit, biscuits with hatch chile gravy, and homemade bread pudding that is different each day ?? are a few of the highlights. Of course, champagne at check-in is also impressive, as is the story that "we could see the revolution from the roof!" Guest services was quick to replace a non-brewing keurig in our room, which we appreciated. The location is excellent, an easy walk to the plaza and to Juarez.

Yelp
The hotel itself is beautiful, but I was disappointed with the front desk service. I can't believe that a hotel of this caliber lacks a systematic way to separate charges on the guest folio. As part of my job, I requested that charges be itemized, and I provided the necessary tax-exempt documentation. However, the front desk agent took an hour and a half to address the issue, yet all charges from my stay were still combined on a single receipt. Now, I'm left with the difficult task of explaining why everything appears on the same folio, including a credit refund, which has created quite a mess. In my experience with other hotels, when I requested that only room charges be itemized, they were able to accommodate me without any issues. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel for business travelers due to this frustrating experience.

Yelp
The hotel is beautiful and so was the room. I would definitely take this detour to stay at the hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby. Self parking is $26 for the night and there is also valet. The DT area is a little sketchy for me to walk around alone to dinner or even in morning coffee. Even then, I found a great restaurant nearby a block from the restaurant.

Yelp
Beautiful beautiful hotel! When you check in the give you a glass of champagne. It's a really good experience checking in. The decor is insanely gorgeous. Rooms are huge and quiet and comfy. You are an extremely short walk to the boarder. You can walk over and shop and have a wonderful lunch and walk right back. Great great location

Yelp
Let's be honest, there aren't a lot of choices for hotels and restaurants in this area. Considering this might be the nicest hotel in the area the pricing is very reasonable. Overall everything is clean and the service was good. The rooms are decently sized and the historical aspect of the building is a nice bonus. I'd recommend this hotel if you were staying in the area

Yelp
We celebrated New Year's last year here and it was OK. We called the hotel everyday for a week straight this year to get information, to no avail. I also went down to the hotel to find out information about the New Year's celebration this year, and couldn't get any straight answers. Sebastian told me that someone would call me back with information on New Year's Eve information. That was over a day ago.

Yelp
A lovely hotel - used to be the Camino Real when i was younger, and is now Paso Del Norte.... But those same marble steps and the marble staircase is still there. I have photos on it from over 20 years ago. And photos on it from less than 1 year ago. Paso Del Norte is located smack dap in the middle of downtown. It offers luxury rooms, amazing dining options (1700 is my favorite), multiple bars and even rooftop pools and lounges! 1700 is luxury steak dining. The Dome Bar is really neat. The theatre and San Jacinto Plaza are less than a block away. It's a great place yo relax, stay, or just hang at for the evening.

This is a nice hotel in downtown El Paso, the room is spacious and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's highly recommended if you're staying in the downtown area.

Yelp
Paso Del Norte is a gorgeous hotel, very much situated for a great stay if you're passing through El Paso, especially for the reasonable price. If this was a hotel stay alone it would be 5 stars. Parking is nice, easy to deal with, and safe and pretty secure, more so than other brands I've stayed with. However, my review is 3 stars. That is a result of the bars that this hotel has. I tried the 10th-floor rooftop restaurant. Waited at the bar and the bartender was so into their phone they didn't acknowledge my presence. After waiting for a little bit, probably 2-3 minutes, I decided to leave. I went down to Sabor and decided to try there. Same experience really, just longer. I sat, waited, didn't get anything brought over or acknowledged, and after a few minutes I just left. Overall if I were going to stay in El Paso, this would be the hotel for me. But I wouldn't be ordering food or drinks from them.

Yelp
I have been to the hotel for lunch and various events. The place is well kept, clean, and what you expect from a hotel like this. But the food is so so. Maybe it was the budget of the organizers running the events, but I have not been impressed with the food each time I was here. The staff is great and always goes above and beyond.

Yelp
Good service, a nice room and vallet. Everything was nice. The roof to bar is a plus.

The Thumbs Critic ..

Yelp
Thumbs Up: The hotel is centrally located, close to several tourist attractions and high-end restaurants, making it a great starting point for exploring the city and nearby parks. Thumbs Down: The beds are uncomfortable. Thumbs Down: The pool was drained during my visit. Thumbs Down: The Wi-Fi internet was not functioning.

Anonymous X.

Yelp
Did their buffet and was very disappointed with the service. Gratuity was included in the bill which was very frustrating because help was very subpar. As a buffet you basically got no service so you were essentially paying an extra $20.00 for the meal. And to pay your bill you had to wait a lifetime. Worse was the young host who could barely speak English, trying to understand her was painful as could be. One thing I'll say is that the food was very good, however it was still extremely overpriced.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel!! Staff is great, rooms are clean and refreshed daily, restaurants inside are delicious, valet is very quick, room service js quicky with many options, and a wonderful central location We will be back!
google avatar

Laylah G.

Yelp
The hotel is gorgeous obviously, but it definitely comes with the price. A simple burger can run you twenty five bucks so be prepared you're paying for the entire experience. There isn't much around the hotel, but the hotel itself is immaculate. I seen a woman singing by the piano in the lobby bar so the full nine yards. The valet service is nice when it's actually fully manned, otherwise you're standing out there for quite some time. The rooms were gorgeous, no complaints!

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful and really gives you a good elevated southwestern feel. It's in a great part of downtown, not too far from shops, food, and drinks. When we arrived, we were greeted by valet. The attendant was very helpful and personable. Our check-in staff was also great, explaining all of our rewards and options. We were disappointed to hear our room wasn't ready (especially because we requested a 2pm check-in and it wasn't ready by 4pm), but it happens. Thankfully they have a beautiful lobby to relax in and offered us complimentary champagne. It was ready about 30 minutes later, so not too bad. The room itself was great. Very clean and nicely decorated. Besides the noise from outside, it was fairly quiet. We went to the Dome Bar for a drink the night we checked in. They were pretty busy, but still professional. The drinks were okay. We also went to Sabor for their breakfast buffet, which was also complimentary. We were surprised by all of the options and the quality was pretty decent. I probably wouldn't go back and pay full price for the buffet, but we do want to go try their other dining options. Overall, a good stay! I would totally recommend this hotel to guests.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with a great roof top bar! The entire staff was very helpful and assisted with getting a last minute room reservation.

Yelp
Our second time staying in this beautiful hotel, the service the spacious room the commodities and the food! All top notch! The location is placed perfectly downtown where a walk anywhere is nice and cozy. The employees are respectable and very helpful to where ya want anything to know you'll get an honest answer. We tried the bar and like any other bar they got it all but the service was A-1! Kimberly the bartender was extra supportive in information about this town the beautiful hotel and what they have to offer. Way to go Kimberly!! But listen, if ya eat here you won't be disappointed, freakin bomb ass food!!!! Thank you Hotel Del Norte, top notch service and just a beautiful hotel!!!!

Yelp
This was definitely a bipolar stay. Had some great ups but the inconsistencies of the downs make me put this in my do not return list. Especially when it should have executed better. The staff I met were great. Valets with the car we're awesome. The check in superb. Bar waitress extremely professional. The problem was the room. First thing, from the time we got to the room to the time we left, two days later, we were always created by someone else's dirty dishes and rubbish. I thought that maybe the housekeeping would. Or room service would. Or maybe a manager would get off their duff and walk the halls. Nope. Two days and likely still there. It made me notice no one had vacuumed the hall rugs in a while. Now I was in a critical doom loop. It totally sealed the deal when I was told my high room suite had a nice view. Obviously the guy was clueless. The room had a wedge of a window that overlooked the room 10 yards away. Gee thanks. Finally, I was just thrown off my throne. Can you have someone tighten the toilet seat?? Obviously, the staff are "great" (ok, friendly) but not one leader checking anything.
google avatar

Tiffany F.

Yelp
Zero complaints about this hotel and my experience during my stay. Being greeted at check in with a glass of champagne set the stage for what to expect. From check in to check out and everything in between - it was nice. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The food at their onsite restaurants was delicious. A wonderful coffee shop is less than a 5-minute walk away. The comfort and experience was worth the nightly rate of this hotel.
google avatar

Yelp
This hotel is a beautiful historic building that will wow you as soon as you enter. They offer you a glass of champagne when checking in, which is a great way to be welcomed in my opinion! The rooms are cozy yet very comfortable with thick black out curtains that actually keep the light out. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and I enjoyed the pretty striped robe in the closet for hanging out in my room. I'm a big fan of the Moulten Brown amenities in the bathroom because they smell so amazing. The only thing I was not a fan of was the large bench at the end of the bed. In the middle of the night it becomes a hazardous obstacle on which to bang your shins. I have the cut/bruise to prove it! Hotel designers need to ditch the benches in hotel rooms for the safety of all our shins. I highly recommend eating in the hotel restaurant because the food is delicious!!

Yelp
Here we are again. Very nice hotel but the front desk clerks customer service is horrible. They don't have a clue. The Dome Bar is fantastic and the bar tenders are great! The Sabor restaurant is very good but a very limited menu, They need to change it up a bit and add more. The valet is okay but slow if you can find one. The room this time was the larger king guest room but no sofa, just one chair. Not good for two people. No very comfortable. This is not your typical AC Marriott, as far as comfort.
google avatar

Yelp
We stayed here our way to Austin and it was lovely beautiful old world hotel excellent service lovely rooftop pool and the most comfortable clean room adorned with Molton Brown bath products!

Yelp
Hotel Paso Del Norte is a hotel in the Marriott family. It is a pricey hotel so I really expected to get better service but no not at this hotel. Our stay started well as we were greeted by a smiling, friendly valet employee. He helped us unload our bags, etc and told my husband where to self park. Inside at check in I had to stand in a long line as they only had 1 employee doing check in. I was NOT greeted nor acknowledged for being a Life time platinum Marriott member. There was champagne and glasses behind the check in desk and none were offered to me until the young man from valet walked up and offered me & my husband each a glass and also offered to help us with our bags. We booked a deluxe King room which is a room with a king bed and a sofa to sit on with an ottoman and a long bench which sits at the foot of the bed. The room was nice and large. The bathroom was average with a small area around the sink a wall to separate the toilet and a walk in shower. There is a full length mirror in the entrance of the room but the light is really BAD by the mirror and in the bathroom. The hotel is okay but at these prices I just expected more or better service.

Yelp
I travel a lot for work and I have to say- I was highly impressed with this hotel! High end, luxury feel in the heart of the city of El Paso. I was there in the month of December and the Christmas decorations were beautiful! The architecture of the hotel and the hotel bar was stunning, the room service food was fantastic, staff was exceptional, water pressure was amazing, and I very much appreciated the robe in the room. Will definitely be staying here again whenever I am back in town.

H R.

Yelp
Nice hotel but the rooms are starting to show signs of needing some TLC. Great service though and everything is kept very clean.

Yelp
A hidden gem in the middle of downtown El Paso!!! 3 bars to choose from, wonderful restaurants & a fantastic view!!!

Yelp
The hotel rooms were so elegant and wonderful, it feel especially spacious and luxurious. Had a wonderful time sleeping on the beds. The food downstairs was great love the addition of the marketplace, didn't need anything from there but it seemed useful. Was glad that there was also a fitness center. Had to get my grind on. The pool seemed nice but i didn't have any swimwear. I didn't know what the skyline was because it was locked, and didn't visit lvl2/3 Definitely would come back

Yelp
Stayed here for 2 nights for a work trip to El Paso and I definitely enjoyed my stay. For starters, I love historic hotels, so it was a bonus that this one has lots of history. It was built in 1912 and even has a ghost story or two (does any old hotel NOT have a ghost story?). They have 2 restaurants inside. My coworker and I went to Sabor on our first night there and enjoyed the chips, guac, tacos, and Denise, our waitress. The other restaurant is more upscale and we chose not to try it out given that I was wearing joggers and a t-shirt lol. It's nearby to other historic places downtown. I was able to walk to Anson Eleven, a great local restaurant for dinner. I also walked to a restaurant called Taft Diaz for breakfast the following morning. As a petite female, I felt very safe walking around the city alone in this area. The gym is actually really big. At first, I was surprised at how big it was. But then I leveraged it both mornings I was there and I quickly saw why. There are definitely a lot of people who use it! They had enough treadmills (6-7 I think?), but when I tried to use the free- weights the next day, it felt like there were 3 of us all trying to use the same size weights for our workouts. So if I stay here again, I'm going to have to wake up earlier to get my workouts in. What makes this place lose a star for me is because they only have little mini 12 oz bottles of water. They give you two in your room so I quickly drank those. I went down to the lobby to get extra water and their little snack shop didn't have ANY bottled water. I asked them at the front desk and they said "we must be out." (For real, bottled water should be the LAST thing you run out of in El Paso!). So I was disappointed they didn't have a backup stock. They offered me little 12 oz waters and handed me two. I told them that I normally drink 120 ounces a day, so I needed more. They told me I could have more, but I'd have to pay for it (insert eye roll). But I guess it's the same as having to pay for some in the snackshop. So I pretty much bought a case of 12 oz bottles off of them. But either way, I have stayed at places that have complimentary water, even if it's just a refillable station. At the absolute least, make sure you have enough to purchase at the snack area! Anyhoo, I'd definitely stay here again (and making sure I bring enough water with me ;) )

Yelp
What an amazing night while visiting El Paso. A friend gave us the night to celebrate retirement while in El Paso. Everyone we encounter made us feel welcomed. Miguel met us at the door and took care of our bags even peppers bag. Friendly and attentive in sharing local information and recommendations. Check in staff poured us champagne and a homemade dog biscuit for Pepper. Lovely room great service. So much to do and see in this lovely hotel and downtown El Paso.

Yelp
The Hotel Paso Del Norte is my favorite hotel in El Paso. Located in the nice part of downtown near great restaurants, theaters, museums, and the baseball field that is often used as a concert venue, this Marriott hotel offers a great west-Texas experience that can compliment a fun night in El Paso. The hotel is grand, offers a beautiful lobby with multiple restaurants, stores, a bar, and live music at night. The rooms are clean and beautiful with many touches of leather, and offer visitors with a glimpse of high end cowboy lifestyle. The pool is a little small, located on an upper floor, but offers a great view of the city. My wife and I are frequent Marriott customers and are always pleased when we stay in one of their Autograph collection properties. Overall, this hotel offers visitors a true El Paso experience with great food, wonderful rooms, quality service, and ability to walk to some of El Paso's best attractions. If you come to see El Paso, or are just driving through, this is your hotel!

Susan I.

Yelp
The hotel is one of the best autograph collections I've stayed at. if you haven't had the pleasure of having a breakfast made by Owen in the Dulce café, you're missing out! He clarifies the butter every morning. All the sauces and gravy are made by him. He takes the extra step to make everything come out perfect. He is the professional chef that the best restaurants wish they could have. definitely a true asset to this hotel!!

Yelp
Hotel Paso Del Norte, Autograph Collection in El Paso is a great place to stay in the middle of everything. I really like the location and everything that they have available here. The staff here is very accommodating and makes sure that you have everything that you need for the best stay.

Yelp
El Paso was a one night stay for us. It could've easily been a two night stay with the Paso Del Norte the perfect hotel for us with the things to do and places to eat in El Paso. The Paso Del Norte is a historic property with 351 rooms that originally opened in 1912. It recently underwent a renovation and opened as a Marriott Autograph collection hotel in 2020. They have a nice stained glass dome that is unique. We arrived after a long drive from Arizona and were greeted by the nice valets who told us where to go to check in. The lobby was nice and had several stations to check in. Check in was an easy process. The front desk clerk offered us water as soon as we arrived and told us they gave us a nice room on the 12th floor. The room we were in had 2 double queens as requested. The room was nice and comfortable and decorated very Texan. The bathroom was big with a walk in shower with shampoo, body wash and conditioner from Molton Brown out of London. Our room did overlook the downtown area and we had a great view of the fake ice rink that was set up for Winterfest. We were happy. Our room would've perfect if we stayed in the room the entire time of stay without moving our luggage and ordered room service. But, I'm not like that. I like to move my own luggage and I like to go out and explore. It was very tough going to the car and back up to the 12th floor with only 1 of their 3 passenger elevators working. In a hotel full of guests and staff working, one elevator is inadequate. The cure for one elevator was opening up the employee service elevators for their guests to use. Using the service elevator was when I discovered the truth. In every employee service elevator lobby where the public is normally not allowed, there is a blueprint of the floor plans of every floor. The nice 12th room floor that the clerk says she gave us turned out to be the smallest in square footage with 397 sq feet. A room a couple doors down from us had 494 sq ft. As a temporarily disabled person, it wasn't easy to get from the service elevator to the underground garage as their were stairs involved. I will admit that it was interesting getting off the employee service elevator on the 1st floor at the Sabor Restaurant. It was nice seeing the restaurant in action and was staffed by some nice people. It's a good hotel. I'm sure the front desk clerks of other nice hotels around the world are also trained in customer service and will tell you "We've upgraded you to a nice room". It's what customers like my wife wants to hear especially when we know nothing about the hotel. Thanks to a broken elevator, I now know their layout and which rooms are the largest. Though, size of the room doesn't alway equate to the "best" room nor does the blueprint tell you what rooms are currently available. I would definitely give them another chance if we are in the area. I wouldn't mind having access to their employee service elevator and service elevator lobby once again. I'll be nice and give them 4 stars because the service elevator brought me to places that I normally would not be allowed to go and showed me some of their secrets.

Yelp
Unfortunately I have to amend my review from 3 years ago based on the most recent stay. I arrived late and went to my room. I went to bed the first night and I saw a stained and dirty sheet. I laid a towel over it because it was late and I needed to go to bed. The next morning I went to the front desk and explained. They apologized and I listened while they called housekeeping and said they needed a full room cleaning including the sheets. The man at the desk said he would let the manager know too. Later that evening I returned to a room that appeared to have been cleaned and a bed that had been made. I decided to turn down the bed to check it and to my surprise it was the same stained and dirty sheet. I was livid and called the front desk and asked to speak with a manager who I guess I eventually spoke to. I explained the situation and told her I was not happy. She apologized, stated someone would be right up to change the sheets and she would tell the GM. A nice young lady came up and changed the bedding while I sat and watched. She even took a photo of the stain. I tipped her (because it wasn't her fault) and expected at least a call from the manager to apologize, or something. Nothing. I checked out the next morning and that was it. Such a bad situation for any hotel, but especially for a hotel that's in the "Autograph Collection". I'm a platinum bonvoy member and can't remember the last time I complained about a hotel, but this was unacceptable.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! I love the renovation. Great to see downtown El Paso coming back alive.

Yelp
My best business stop of the decade. World class experience. I'm coming back to see more of El Paso based just off of my experience at this hotel -- a great ambassador for the city.

Yelp
No internet for 2 days! Waited 45 minutes for my room key. Room key never worked. Constantly had to ask for new key. Towels in the room were dirty, sink was clogged, AC vent was super loud and disruptive enough to not allow for sleep. I gave this dump a second chance and it failed again...

Yelp
Paseo Del Norte has all the makings of a five star hotel. Our experience was very close to that of The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans. From the moment you arrive you feel welcomed. Valet staff are top notch, the front desk was very welcoming with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine while they made sure our room was ready. The King Deluxe room was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfortable, making for a great nights sleep. We had drinks and a charcuterie board in The Dome bar. We went upstairs to the rooftop bar and had drinks. We would have eaten, but food was not being offered due to staff shortages. We had dinner downstairs at Sabor. The Mr. loved the Pork chop. I ordered a small pizza and chicken tortilla soup. The soup was sent back due to being room temp. It was removed from the bill without question. Pizza crust was excellent, but a bit heavy on cheese. We ordered room service breakfast in the morning. We hand wrote our order on hotel stationary since our pen wouldn't write on the menu. So in the morning there was a bit of confusion upon delivery but was immediately corrected. We had eggs, bacon and potatoes. Ham, mushroom and cheese omelette with potatoes and a side of salsa. The valet brought the car around and was genuinely interested in our experience at the hotel. He hacked about positives and areas they could improve upon. We will be back next month and are looking forward to staying there again.

Yelp
Don't attend this bar any longer worst customer service including with there female manager Roxanna who's laughed in my face for giving her advice of how dirty the facility looks now in days. Been coming here for years never have I ever feel disgusted by Mirador bar.

Yelp
Stayed here for a work trip. Beautiful historic hotel with comfortable beds. It's located in downtown El Paso with lots of places to eat within walking distance. My room was large and even though there was to a view outside my window...I had a great stay. This is a find.

Yelp
Cannot rave enough about this hotel. Absolutely stunning! Located in the heart of downtown, there are restaurants, parks, and coffee shops very near. The hotel itself and the staff are all top notch. The room was spacious and we lucked out with a corner room so the natural light and views were incredible. Thank you SO much for being dog friendly as our pup goes with us everywhere. Let me say since we travel very frequently with our dog, we have stayed in a couple pet friendly hotels that compromised cleanliness bc they allowed pets, but Hotel PDN did not. Very, very clean and great amenities, too. The outdoor pool is very small but the views are stunning. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Yelp
Oh wow. This place has really knocked my socks off! I had no idea that this treasure was here in El Paso! It was built in 1821 and there's so much history behind it. The photos in the rooms are from the 1800s and they are just beautiful! Service is amazing and the staff takes a lot of pride in their jobs and taking care of the hotel. If you're just passing through make sure to just maybe swing by and have a drink at the bar. The lobby is gorgeous as well. Nice people and decent crowd.

Yelp
This is a beautiful property with a lot of eating options. With my Titanium status I had a deluxe king room on the 16th floor. The room was spacious and staff was super friendly. The elevators were SUPER slow. So much so that I avoided any extra trips. Ice machines are not plentiful in the tower. The highest floor with an ice machine is 7. Not great planning. The rooftop bar would be a nice place to hang out if the food choices were a bit more extensive. I would also have liked to use the pool, but unfortunately it was closed. There is not a lounge, so they offered me the breakfast buffet. The only downfall, if it could be called that, is that I recently had gastric sleeve surgery and couldn't eat everything in sight. That is a good thing even though the food was spectacular. Made to order omelets and all the trimmings. Give this place a try.

Yelp
Right in the middle of a nice neighborhood. If you just passing through I would skip this hotel as a lot of the restaurants around here are slacks required. Not very inviting after traveling. Room smelt like smoke so that was lovely for a no smoking room. Hotel staff where 50/50 on being inviting when talked to.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel with great staff!!! When we arrived, their computer system had crashed; however, they had all hands on deck to handle the situation & offered free champagne for the inconvenience. We also received a free upgrade!!! Highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel!!!
