Review of Stay at Hotel Paso Del Norte (October 16–18, 2025)
We stayed at Hotel Paso Del Norte in a Deluxe Room, Larger Guest Room with two Queen beds from October 16 to 18, 2025. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, in a great location, and the staff was welcoming and courteous. The lobby, amenities, and cleanliness of our room were impressive, and we appreciated the warm hospitality at check-in.
However, there were a few issues during our stay. On the first night, we noticed water leaking in the bathroom when we took a shower. We called the service desk, and maintenance came promptly, but unfortunately, they were unable to fully fix the problem. Since it was already late (around 9:30 p.m.), we declined the offer to move to another room because we were very tired. We were assured the issue would be fixed the next morning, but even after following up before breakfast, the problem remained unresolved the next night.
In addition, our dining experience at the Sabor restaurant was disappointing. We went for breakfast around 9 a.m. before our flight and placed our order right away, but the service was extremely slow. By the time we received our food, the buffet had already started, and the food we got was cold. Although the staff provided a discount after we expressed our concern, it still left a poor impression.
Another concern was that the coffee machine in our room malfunctioned and splashed hot water, slightly burning my daughter. We informed the front desk immediately; thankfully, it wasn’t serious enough for hospital care, but it was still upsetting.
On a positive note, when our flight was canceled later that day, the hotel staff was very accommodating and quickly arranged for us to stay in the same room again, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the shower issue still had not been fixed.
Lastly, while the hotel's ambiance is lovely, we noticed that the noise insulation could be improved. The rooms were a bit noisy at night, which disturbed our kids’ sleep.
Overall, this hotel has great potential and excellent staff, but attention to maintenance and dining service speed would make the guest experience much better.
