On arrival, greeted with a smile then greeted with another smile. Both friendly staff members, told all about my room, breakfast, Wi-Fi, et cetera. Went up to my room where there was a lovely lady who was on her first day of her job, she couldn’t have helped me anymore. If she tried. She held the door open for me so that I could get my luggage into the room. The rooms are all individual and very quirky, I loved it. I also love the fact there wasn’t signage everywhere to tell you how dangerous things can be at how grown-up the rooms are that you can actually make choices and decisions about your own safety. The window a sash-window I could actually open to let air in rather than only having 5 mm gap. AA fan in the room which was useful because it was a hot day and a decent hairdryer one that had a cord on it. That meant you didn’t have to stand 1 m away from the wall to use it. Very clean, comfortable sleep. Right near the beach. Beautiful inside and out.

My husband chose this hotel for a few days away for my 50th birthday. It was a good choice, I love the maximalist vibe, I can't tell you how many times I walked up and down the stairs and saw something different. We stayed in the Diana Dors room (pin up parlour), which has a nice view over regency square and if you lay on the chaise lounge, you have a lovely view of the beach! The room does catch the sun for most of the day, so if like me, you're perimenopausal, it is warm, but a pretty good fan was in the room, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was very tasty and nicely presented, and the cocktails were amazing. Everywhere was nice and clean. And a special mention for the Pelirocco team, every member of staff we encountered were lovely!|We would definitely book again.

I knew I'd love this place even before I arrived and l wasn't wrong! So much love and thought has been put into the hotel and there's something to look at in every nook and cranny. The staff are great and make you feel very at home with nothing being a problem. I stayed in the knitting themed room for two nights which was very cosy with proper pillows to sink into. It was also very quiet so l slept like a log. Breakfast was also excellent with lots of choice and served in the quirky bar restaurant area. Will definitely be going back.

Really enjoyed my stay. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff.|I had an attic room (Leigh Bowery) which may not be suitable for tall people, I'm 5'8" and managed. The comfiest bed with super squishy pillows ensured a good sleep. Breakfast was lovely, good ingredients, well cooked and presented. Walked up the 4 flights before I left to take in the gallery. People staying in the Diana Dors room let me have a peak in their room - Lush

Absolutely fab stay! Super friendly staff members, made the stay so fun and easy! We loved the bar, which I think you can only go to if you're staying at the hotel. The cocktails were amazing. Such a cool room with really comfortable bed. Breakfast was also brilliant. I would super recommend staying here! Can't wait to come back!

This was our second time staying at HP and it did not disappoint! We paid £604 for our pinup room over pride weekend (hence the price). Perfect location for everything. I suffered with my back so the lift came in handy as well as the bed was lovely and comfortable and the jet bath was it's selling point for me! We had breakfast brought up to us at a time of our choosing each more and ate it on our balcony watching the i360 doing it's thing! For my partner when he saw the room came with a big fan we could plug in he was overjoyed! (this is someone who has the window open in freezing temperatures) going back to breakfast they accommodated my intolerances and the food was lovely, the fruit was nicely ripe too!! We got complimentary cocktails for my partners up coming birthday and had some laughs and great conversations with the girls working behind the bar! My next aim is to try the moulin rouge room 👌Overall this hotel just kicks ass!! 🫶

I absolutely love this hotel! Hotel Pelirocco is such a unique and fun place to stay in Brighton. Every room is individually themed and feels like a little piece of art. I stayed in the Soul Supreme room, which even had a vintage record player! The hotel is full of personality, with creative decor on every floor and a really welcoming atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. One of them told me that the right people always find this place, and I totally believe it. The location is perfect, right on the seafront in Regency Square, close to everything. And the breakfast? Delicious! If you love something a bit different with a rock’n’roll vibe, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
Hotel Pelirocco is a fantastic choice for a unique stay while in Brighton Close to the ocean & Brighton Pier, it's also w/in walking distance to The Lanes (shopping / music venues) The neighborhood is quiet and hopping at the same time. Lots of people out & about & the downstairs bar was packed but up in my room, it was nice & quiet I scored the Pressure Sounds room w/ its Reggae theme. Turns out the phone in the room just so happened to be exact phone Sis had while we were growing up....awww, nostalgia! Bed was on a springy frame which made it almost like staying at camp - but it was comfy nonetheless. Wicker chair in the corner, gaming console w/ the tv & great smelly bath products Staff is super-friendly & the downstairs bar is cozy-cool. Would def stay here again!

Yelp
When the singer of Scizzor Sisters was interviewed on the radio recently, he triumphantly announced that he'd got laid at Hotel Pelirocco last time he played Brighton. A regency guest-house two minutes from the sea-front, Hotel Pelirocco is easily Brighton's coolest and most distinctive hotel. Every room is individually themed and decorated by artists, designers or hip record labels like Rough Trade and Skint. I've stayed in the Absolut Love room (which was all red velvet curtains and a heart-shaped bed), the Hysteric Glamour room (which was all provocative neon and black bedding) and the Leah Bowery room (which was a shrine to the cult performance artist). All of them were great and I'd happily go back and stay in the Pressure Sounds room (Lee Scratch Perry wallpaper apparently!), the Muhammed Ali rom (with boxing ring paint) and the Betty Page Boudoir - if only I had the bling or a free invite... The bar is terrific and serves cooool cocktails til 1am Sun to Thurs and til 4am at weekends. The only disappointing thing is some of the rooms are sponsored by corporate companies and so there's product placements dotted everywhere around the hotel. I don't mind seeing Absolut bottles upcycled into chandeliers but Smint mints...

Yelp
So, I must first state that I'm writing this review as someone who's not used this hotel as a hotel before. I've only experienced their amazing bar and it's this that I am going to be reviewing. As soon as you walk into Hotel Pelirocco you can tell that something a little bit different is going on. And I mean different in a very good way! As you come into the hotel, the bar is on the right hand side. The room is decorated with an absolute mish-mash of wallpaper and artwork, with everything from an extravagant red chandelier, skull wallpaper and bright garish colours. It works so well, though! It's perfectly bizarre - just enough to make the place kooky and cool as opposed to badly done. The bar itself is covered in grafitti-esque artwork (a big octopus, if I recall correctly) and is manned by sound of the friendliest staff around! I came here for a film screening evening (Bar Shorts) and was very impressed by the transformation from bar to 'cinema'. There was enough room to fit 40 people, I'd say, and the big screen was a great way to view the films! The venue was perfect and it just shows the versatility of Hotel Pelirocco. I know they host bands and music evenings, as well as film screenings, making them quite the chameleon venue indeed! They have a fab cocktail menu, with some great names, as well as your standard bar drinks at a very reasonable price. The thing about this place is that it's effortlessly cool. It's not trying too hard and it's not obnoxious in it's efforts to be quirky and different. The toilets are quite something too! With no male or female ones, there are simply two stalls side by side, decorated in just a funky wallpaper as the rooms downstairs! Weird, but very funny - I love these loos! :) It may be a little off the beaten track from your usual pub crawling, but if you want a great drink in the coolest setting, go to Hotel Pelirocco!! or, equally, if you're looking to book a venue for a party, screening or band night, then get in touch with them. They're some of the most decent people around, so they'll treat you very well, I've no doubt! :D

Yelp
This hotel looks very upto date compared to all the others in Regency Square. Even the sign looks jazzy! It offers the same standard of service as all the others. The room rates are also comparative to most as well. The seaviews are not as good as the better placed hotels but hat shouldn't put anyone off.

Yelp
If you are staying in Brighton, and you like your hotels not budget, but not too formal, try this place. It's a bit far from the action, being situated near the old burnt out pier, but the sea air, as you walk home from a night out, will do you the world of good. The hotel is a large town house in a nice square, over looking a garden and on the sea front. It's well know for having uniquely designed rooms. We were in the Jamie Reid/Sex Pistols room. Check in was chatty. We had a cocktail in the thrift-shop-like bar, which is where they serve breakfast too. Work by local artists was on show, and for sale. Our room didn't look exactly like the images on the website. The bedding was plain, instead of the customised Jamie Reid stencilled bedding. Perhaps that had been knicked by a previous guest. There were lots of signs of wear and tear, and the room did resemble a mad nursery, but I had wanted to stay there for ages, and loved it. However, I didn't love the bathroom. It was the size of a London phone box, but somehow they had managed to fit in a shower, sink and loo. It really was caravan-like. The bar area was great fun. It's open only to guest. They serve silly cocktails and both nights were like being at a private house party - except you had to pay for the booze. We made it down for breakfast. Full English. Nothing fancy, but really tasty. We heard a guest call down for a bottle of champagne to be sent up. They were told that as it was breakfast time, they'd have to come down and get it themselves. To me, that really summed up the place. Try more than one room when staying here.

Yelp
Easily one of Brighton's coolest haunts, Hotel Pelirocco is definitely Brighton's most arty hotel. Actually a regency house converted into a four-story guest house, Pelirocco offers themed rooms and a very exclusive cocktail bar, as well as SingStar karaoke! Always an amazing night out, and definitely the hippest place to stay the night, Pelirocco is a brilliant, unforgettable experience. Where most hotels do their utmost to provide rooms and services that are equal across the board, Pelirocco aims in the completely opposite direction: each room is completely and utterly different from any of the others, normally themed around a celebrity or a designer or something similar. Thanks to a spread of magazine shoots and the like, Pelirocco is now well-known for this stylishly different outlook on the hotel lifestyle, and is sponsored by many, many big companies. Unfortunately, this has led to excessive product placement, but there is something quite enjoyable about the glut of logos: I think it goes well with the generally arty vibe of the whole place. If you're not looking for a place to stay and just fancy a drink, the cocktail bar at Pelirocco is also a bit of a cool classic these days. Prices are steep, and the selection is rather strange (lots of foreign beers and a couple of spirits), but the whole design and layout just screams 'cool'. Pelirocco is a true Brighton hot-spot, an eccentric place to stay the night and a great night out. I sometimes find the excessive artiness here a little much, but it's still worth seeing!

Yelp
This is a hotel that is seriously sexy! It has a sexy vibe in there, from the moment you walk through the door. The rooms are imaginative, breakfasts are wonderful and the staff really don't bat an eyelid regarding who you are checking in with. The champagne ordered as part of room service has got to be done! If you can stay for a couple of nights, as you might find yourself not wanting to get out of bed for a while. One thing is for sure, if you want a Hotel for a dirty weekend that ticks all the boxes then you really must book the Pelirocco.

Yelp
I really loved this hotel, perfect for a weekend away with your other half, not to far from the sea and you can park under the square.Short walk to the shops and the lanes with all the bars and resturants. Only stayed in the Durex room so cant coment on the others, massive room with a round bed and mirrored ceiling, pole to dance round and red velvet curtains.Tacky as hell but the most fun all in one go. The bathroom was massive with a mosaic tiled bath big enough for 5 people and 2 shower heads. Plasma tv and dvd player, playstaion too...not that we bothered! Really large breakfast, even had marmite. Overall great place for a one nighter or dirty weekend.

Yelp
Billed as "England's most rock n roll hotel", this is certainly a unique place with themed rooms inspired by pop culture. A converted Regency townhouse, the hotel is situated right by seafront in the centre of Brighton. Great location to stagger to as well after a night out. The rooms are definitely interesting - each one is different & fun/funky/edgy. Too much sponsorship tie-ups for me though, but I guess the money's got to come from somewhere. Rooms are reasonably well appointed, but it does have that kind of scuffed, student feel to it. Public facilites are limited, with a small bar (brought to you by those nice people at Sony) that's at least open to 4am at weekends. A Playtime menu of sex aids (brought to you by those nice people at Durex) may not be to everyone's taste though. Also make sure you're comfortable with the room allocated to you before you book, as each one is indiviudal and some may not be your cup of tea.

Yelp
Been twice so far and definately be back soon. In Betty Page room there is a big spa bath. Bed is lovely as well, but if you want to have better sleep than at home go for Stoli room. Big, big, big bed. People are very nice. They really create great atmosphere. Oh, and add to it brilliant coctails and tasty breakfast. What else do you want to spoil yourself!!

Yelp
I treated my partner to a night in the Durex Playroom at a cost of £300 for a weekend one night stay. It was absolutely worth every last penny! The room was out of this world - 8ft round bed (like sleeping on a fluffy cloud), Mirrored ceiling above the bed, pole in the bedroom, a gigantic bathroom with twin basins, toilet and huge plunge bath with double monsoon shower heads in the ceiling above it. The living room was also fab with a huge tv screen and leather seating with mirrored wall. The whole atmosphere screamed sultry glamour, perfect for a couple to indulge in some together time. The hotel also has severel other themed rooms, all just as imaginative as the one we stayed in. The only downside to our stay was the lack of room service - they dont do any food or anything so we had to take a wander outside and find a chippy for something to eat in our room.

Yelp
We came here for two nights on our wedding anniversary - what an amazing hotel!!! It is very unique, one of a kind, each room has a different theme, some of the rooms are sponsored. Each room has a Playstation in it which seriously impressed my husband! Our room was in the attic, the lift was very temperamental so we had to climb the billion stairs to the top which was tiring. Room service is available for sex aids.

Yelp
With 19 differently themed bedrooms the much-loved Hotel Pelirocco is widely regarded as one of the coolest places to stay in Brighton. Having been featured in numerous magazines and won many awards it's a creatively designed place where character and charm are preferred to convention. The cocktail bar is a great place to go even if you aren't a guest and if you fancy a bit of vocal fun the private Singstar lounge is available on request. If you're experimental then you can benefit from their collaboration with Brighton's premier erotic boutique, She Said, which offers a range of fun hampers for the Hotel's more adventurous guests. If you didn't already know about Hotel Pelirocco you do now so make a visit!

Yelp
I've stayed at Pelirocco a couple of times and lovd it. It has themed rooms with fabulously odd decor from the mod era, to Ophelia lingerie. The staff are cool and friendly and it's well located for a roam around Brighton. If you fancy a cocktail you can hang out in the atmospheric little cocktail bar. The breakfasts are delicious and there are all kinds of little add-ons you can get for special occasions like breakfast in bed or a box of sex toys on arrival. It has a trashy, tacky feel to it but in a very charming kind of way. The lift is a bit ropey but you won't come out of here without a story to tell.

Yelp
Very quirky hotel. Each room has a unique design (mine was "Do Knit Disturb" and everything was covered in knitting). Actual keys and not cards to get into your room. The room was pretty small, and the shower even smaller. But not a bad stay for the night I was there. Right on the beach, and less than a mile from the pier, so the location was pretty great. Elevator didn't seem the most trustworthy in my opinion though.

Yelp
Another hotel double booked us and was kind enough to find us a room at the Pelirocco, (how lucky were we).....The Pelirocco hotel made our stay in brighton a fab one.. The staff made us feel extremely comfortable, always cheery and welcoming. Most other hotels/b&bs could learn a lot on customer care from the staff at Pelirocco...The bar had great tracks playing, open till 4.00am, A great selection of cocktails (amaretto sour is divine)!! Stayed in the betty Paige room, funky and sexy, large, CLEAN with a balcony sea view.. Thanks again to all at Pelirocco. We will be back soon.
