Hotel Peralada

Our stay at Hotel Peralada was exceptional. The wine spa is beautifully designed and incredibly relaxing, a must-try. The pool and surrounding grounds are immaculate, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere. The golf range and gym are top-notch amenities that added a lot to the experience. A special mention to the bellhop, Sawan (spelling?), who was helpful and professional throughout our stay.||Breakfast is an additional cost but well worth it: fresh, high-quality selections in a lovely setting. The nearby town, castle, and winery are all well worth a visit and give the area a unique charm.

A fantastic hotel and the perfect location for a relaxing break away. The place has great facilities, exceptional service and all you need within walking distance to the town of Peralada. Spa and golf facilities are excellent and are easily accessible on site. Special mention to all the staff who were incredible throughout our stay. Sewi in particular on the concierge who couldn’t do more for you and offered a warm welcome each day

Fabuloso.|Stayed 3 nights and played golf three times, twice on the 18 hole course and once on the par 3.|Breakfast excellent.|Dined twice in the main restaurant, not gastronomic but 7 out of 10.|Room with balcony and dog bed was extremely comfortable.|Staff superb.|Spa very nice.|Everyone was happy, helpful and friendly.|The surrounding grounds manicured and beautiful.|For 72€ a round, the golf was also enjoyable, greens excellent, fairways a little scruffy in places; not epic like Camiral Stadium course or indeed the Tour course but the cost reflected its position in the hierarchy.|A little under 2,000€ for 3 nights all found is a lot but worth it.|Would return again.

I chose this property after a lot of research—not for the golf, but because it offers a Michelin-starred restaurant, an in-house spa, and its own winery. Before arrival, I confirmed via email that the restaurants could accommodate vegan options.||The drive up the winding road revealed a beautiful property, even in the rain. Parking was complimentary and plentiful, and we made our way into the lobby with our bags. Though a bellman offered assistance, we were already inside. The lobby had a lovely setup of infused water, cava, and snacks, though none of it was actually offered at check-in.||Check-in itself was pleasant, and our king room was quiet, comfortable, and overlooked the pool and grounds. Natura Bissé toiletries, robes, and slippers were thoughtful touches, and we appreciated how peaceful the room felt.||Wanting to make the most of our one-night stay, we headed to the 19th Bar around 5:30 p.m. for snacks and drinks, only to learn the kitchen was closed. The small lounge had no available seating—tables were reserved or pushed together for groups—so we returned to the lobby to regroup. When we inquired about the Michelin restaurant and winery, we learned they were offsite in town (contrary to our understanding) and that the restaurant was fully booked. We did manage to secure spa access and a dinner reservation at L’Olivera.||Back at the bar, we were allowed to sit at the counter for a quick glass of wine before heading to the spa. Unfortunately, the spa experience was anything but relaxing: despite posted limits and designated family hours, the space was crowded with loud, splashing children. Even in separate rooms, the noise carried. We ended up leaving and shared our concerns with the hotel.||Dinner at L’Olivera was equally disappointing at first. For 25 minutes we sat ignored—no water, menus, or greeting—while every other table received attentive service. The manager visited every table but ours. When a young waitress finally came by, she worked with the chef to create vegan dishes, though it was clear our dietary notes never reached the kitchen. Despite the rough start, Chef Eduardo ultimately prepared thoughtful plant-based dishes, including a vegetable paella and pasta, and he, along with Juan and the manager, checked in afterward. We thanked them sincerely, though we couldn’t help but imagine how much better the experience could have been if proper communication had been in place.||Breakfast the next morning was much better: a bright dining space, excellent service, and abundant options. Sitting outside after the rain lifted was a highlight.||We then returned for a rebooked spa visit, this time hoping for a calmer experience. Sadly, the peace didn’t last—once again, children and loud family members disrupted the space. To her credit, Yvette at the spa desk eventually stepped in, and we finally had some quiet. Our treatments afterward redeemed the experience somewhat. Katy gave me one of the best facials I’ve ever had, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his massage.||Before leaving, Raquel, the Operations Manager, reached out with genuine kindness to try to make things right. I appreciated her gestures and willingness to listen.||This property has so much potential—the grounds, the spa facilities, and the restaurant talent are all excellent—but too many aspects of our stay fell short. With better communication and stronger service consistency, this could have been a spectacular visit. For now, I’m unsure if we’d return.

Perfect place for a quiet peaceful escape! The hotel located in beautiful resort and the stuff made sure we had an amazing experience! Everyone was very friendly and made sure we were comfortable.

This is a great looking hotel and yes, you certainly pay for it. If you have money and like golf, well then go for it! We spent a few nights here for a nearby wedding. Loved the rooms, lovely pool area (w a nice bar/restaurant), and enjoyed a nice round of golf. Rooms were quiet - certainly there is no traffic as the hotel is nestled in the golf course. The only negative really was that at both restaurants the food took forever (lunch and dinner). Not sure what to do with the location rating as this place is mostly its own destination, although there are several nice towns within fairly easy driving distance.

The only letdown was the maître d’ at both L’Olivera and the 19th, who came off as curt and impersonal, a contrast to the otherwise outstanding hospitality.

What an amazing hotel and spa! We had an excellent room overlooking the pool. It was so peaceful and relaxing! Our package allowed us to use the pool and spa areas for an hour and it was heavenly! The grounds and golf course were beautiful kept. Breakfast buffet had so many wonderful options. Highly recommend❣️

Great course. Easy to get to. Conditions of the greens are wonderful for the area Course is surrounded by beautiful houses and spectacular views Don't forget to look for the resident cat when you get a cart The locker room is great too. Showers, toilets, couches and a hairdryer. In the cooler months it is also nice and warm. You will average about 15,000 steps on the entire course. Some challenging holes wait for you. 2 ponds with ducks too.
