"In this family-run hotel-restaurant, the first thing you notice is the wonderfully traditional interior (chandeliers and silverware). The dishes range from the classic (marengo chicken supreme) to the regional (veal kidneys with mustard seeds, marrow quenelles and spaetzle), to the occasional more contemporary offering (lobster tempura). The cheese platter from the valley is a real highlight." - Michelin Inspector

We didn't stay here, but I visited the restaurant twice in 3 days with my baby daughter while my wife was working. It is absolutely lovely, and of a quality I didn't expect to find in such a small town. Real gourmet food at a reasonable price, with a wine list to match. The staff were very friendly and very considerate having a baby in a restaurant of this calibre. Definitely worth a visit.

We spent a week in the area, and reserved a luncheon on Sunday. what a great meal! The food and service were what one would expect from a starred Michelin restaurant. In a word, impeccable! The food was excellent, but even better was watching the service staff deliver and remove the dishes. I only wish we could have eaten there more than once.

Booked this hotel based on the website with lots of nice pictures. Upon arrival, no staff to be found. Had to ring a bell. The rooms were a big dissapointment, they didn't look anything like the pictures: seems they got stuck in the 70's. The room was small room, had an old brown color, old type of beds with old brown blankets instead of modern feather beds, bathroom and toilet stucked away in some small closet, all very small. Bathroom was not clean at all, hairs all over the place. The hotel had no cosy atmosphere, it felt very cool there, also because there weren't much guests it was almost deserted. We felt not at home. Staff wasn't very helpfull either (if staff was to be found at all). Breakfast was a dissapointment too. Little choice, not even fresh fruit or so, no staff to assist the guests. Tables covered with paper to prevent stains. Unbelievable. If you like the 70's and small rooms, this is the hotel for you. If not, stay away.

very nice room, comfortable bed, good shower, all amenities, room in the 3rd Floor accessible by elevator, wonderful view on the Munster valley- especially during full moon night and early morning sunrise. Hundreds of hiking trips in the adjacent mountains : we enjoyed it !!

Small but cleans and comfortable rooms with a good view of the hills. Good for the price. Amazing evening meal at the connecting restaurant. Average breakfast at an extra cost.
