Great location, but the stay was disappointing due to several issues.
1. Confusion regarding the Superior Double Room (Room 505)
According to the photos on the hotel’s website, the Superior Double Room was presented as having a sofa and a small living area separated from the bedroom. However, the actual room assigned to me (Room 505) had no sofa and consisted only of a small space with a bed. The interior size was the same as a standard Classic Room.
When I asked at the reception, I was told that regardless of the room’s interior size, any room with an exterior balcony is classified as a Superior Room. This was quite surprising, and I felt that the room type description could be misleading.
2. Multiple room changes and heating issues
Due to the issue mentioned above, I had to change rooms once. In the newly assigned room, the heater did not work for two days.
This occurred during one of the coldest periods in Barcelona, and staying in a room without heating was extremely uncomfortable.
I reported this situation to the reception and asked for it to be shared with the manager, but no clear solution or alternative was offered. As a result, I had to change rooms once again. Over the course of a one-week stay, I was required to move rooms a total of two times, which was very inconvenient.
3. Frequent elevator malfunctions
During my stay, the elevator was out of service on four separate occasions, requiring me to use the stairs. These repeated malfunctions made moving around the hotel quite inconvenient, especially during a longer stay.
* The maintenance technician who came to fix the heater was very kind, and I truly appreciated his help.
