I have organized many events at Hotel Preston and they have always been a success! The Sales and reception team are always friendly and smiling, and greet me when I come in. The ball room and other conference areas are very spacious for our needs. Everyone in my group tells me how much they love meeting at Hotel Preston, and we hope to be here for many years to come.

Great stay, the food at the restaurant is good. One night we had the Fried Catfish w/French Fries and the next day I ordered the Shrimp and Grits with cheese and jalapenos. Both dishes seasoned very well. I definitely will be staying at this place again.

I absolutely loved staying here! I was looking for an upscale hotel with a decent outdoor pool with a bar area that wasn’t too expensive. This hotel was perfect and so was the price. The vibe was perfect. I walked in to the sound of music coming from the bar area. They had live music. They also offered free salsa lessons which i found out is offered one sunday a month. I decided to try it and it was so much fun. They are under renovations but my room was on the ninth floor and had been completed. My room was amazing! 🤩 I had an awesome view of the pool. The pool area was nice with an option to rent out a cabana. The front desk clerk, Wendy was so nice and helpful. It was a safe area and just minutes from everything. I Really enjoyed my overnight stay and will definitely stay here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The room features a huge glass window that offers a stunning view of Nashville City at Night. The pool has been closed for maintenance for a while, so I haven't had the opportunity to enjoy it. Overall, a good living experience for a 3-star hotel.

We arrived at the hotel and they were extremely busy. The hotel is under a major renovation but the room we stayed in was new, bright and had a great TV and we especially liked the shower. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and accommodating. We will be back!

Google
Extremely disappointing. Had a good feeling about this hotel. Updated rooms, looks nice, but don’t look too close. Bathroom had hair all over the floor. The shower had MUD crusted onto the floor. When I say it was dirty. Just look at the photos. Additionally, this property was recently renovated. Room was on a renovated floor, and the curtains were yanked out of the track that they are installed in. Sloppy. To top it off, the lobby had piss on the floor and even in the elevator. The elevator also had a panel ripped off the side of one of the walls.

I probably would have given 5 stars, but the pool was closed and they did not have the pool closure stated on the website. Great staff service, except the small issue of sending me to my room while it was being cleaned. Not a big deal at all. Very clean rooms. Alayah at the bar was great. Very courteous and professional.

The Hotel seemed like a good choice when we 1st booked. Once after we arrived we noticed the construction. Elevators were not working. Water was shut off without any communication from management. Complimentary Bottled water is advertised on its website to be given to guests everyday and we were told to use the water station that is located on floors 6,7 and another floor. When we complained at the front desk, we were given a total of 4 "free complimentary continental brskafast" only to find out the restaurant at the hotel does not offer continental breakfast but yet it was a $15 off breakfast voucher. Although some of the issues are out on management hands... paying customers/guests should not have to try to understand business operations of a poorly managed Hotel. I would NOT recommend this Hotel to ANYONE. Nashville is a beautiful city and very huge tourist area, you can definitely find a better hotel than this place if you take your time and compare.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this hotel has such low reviews. I enjoyed my time here. We booked a 2 double room and everything in the room was clean. It was very spacious for 4 adults sharing a space so it felt like we were not on top of each other. We enjoyed the live music at night and the bar was very nice. We did have to pay for breakfast but it was not a deal breaker. I loved how it was centrally located. It's right by the airport, 10 minutes from downtown, 15 minutes from the Opry Land Mall and 10 minutes from a Whataburger (We don't have those in Louisville, don't judge) The only downside was the fact that they were in the middle of remodeling so it wasn't pretty to look at but I never noticed a huge inconvenience with it. They also only had 1 elevator working so it took forever to get to and from our room. We thought the remodeling had something to do with it. I will happily book at Hotel Preston again

Yelp
I would give -5 stars here if it were an option. Booked a room here as a stop along a very long move. Maybe it was a nice hotel when it was first built because the lobby is nice. But yeah don't be fooled. The elevator has a mind of its own and doesn't work well. The first room we came to, didn't have working tv. I asked to switch to a "nicer" room and the second one had a broken bathroom faucet. The hotel smells like smoke and the doors look line prison cell doors. I quickly asked for a refund and booked a stay somewhere else. This place is nasty and gross, don't book here. It's also pretty far from downtown like 20min ish.

Yelp
Why all the bad reviews on this place? Well i'm assuming it starts with poor management decisions. Like who's Idea was it to have a construction crew outside my window at 7am in the morning. I had a previously rough day of travels the day before and was looking forward to getting a "Full" nights sleep. I called the front desk to let them know what was going on and they did nothing about the problem. I will say that aside from that horrible incident in the morning the staff were very nice and I had no other major issues. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean and modern. Hopefully as the renovations are complete it will be a better stay.

Yelp
I do not recommend this hotel at all. When we first pulled up it looked sketchy. There was no curb appeal at all. Overall it was dirty and unpleasant, musty and dreary. The front desk looked better than the rest of the hotel. It is definitely deceiving. Only one elevator was working as the other one was out of order. The cafe was never open and it looked more like a dive bar than a cafe. As you can see in the photos, this place is rundown and looks like it's on its last leg. My husband booked this hotel with Expedia and the pictures there looked different. I would never book here again.

Yelp
My stay was going ok until Monday. I was put on the 6th floor and there was construction on the 7th and 8th floor. I was trying to work but couldn't. I called the front desk to complain and they gave me a space. Which was OK except for it was very uncomfortable to sit here for eight hours working. Then I went to use the bathroom and there's no water. No way to wash my hands and nobody ever said anything before the water was shut off. And the room that they gave me people walking up and down the hallways it's just as loud as possible just erupting my work, which I could've had in another room if they put me on a different floor. Maybe next time when somebody complains about the construction, they'll just move them rooms instead of giving them an uncomfortable worthless place to work. I don't care how cheap this place I'll never come back. !!!!

Yelp
Roach Hotel I stayed at the Preston Marriott, checking in Thursday, June 19 after a delayed flight around 2:30am. Upon entering the room located on the 6th floor we noticed a roach crawling across the floor. Then another one crawling on the fridge (which was sitting on the floor and not in the cabinet). Then in the corners of the room were more roaches. The room had not been cleaned, so we were given another room on the 7th floor. Upon speaking with the Operations Manager, Ronnie the next day. She informed me that the hotel was recently purchased and taken over by the Marriott in November. I was given that night for free as a solution. I would have left if I was not at that hotel for an event. I must say that I did not sleep well at all. This is not what I expect from a Marriott hotel, I do not understand why it would take over 7 months to exterminate and clean up a property. There were over 5 roaches in 1 room, that we saw. To tell a guest that renovations are being done and use that as an excuse for filth is unacceptable. If there were this many roaches in one room, I am sure there are more in other areas of the hotel. I really do not know what else to say except this should not be a Marriott or opened until things are cleaned up. I have attached pictures of the roaches, so this can be addressed. The fact that we were able to get pictures of the roaches in their room is sad.

Yelp
Nice looking pictures online. The rooms were nice but I asked to be placed in a room that doesn't connect to another room. Switched and ended up down the hall and around the corner with a connecting room Laselle works at the desk and she's from the Bahamas- 5 stars for her. Very warm and inviting to the city of Nashville. First time here and she made me feel right at home. Dalia- terrible demeanor. Rough. Her tone and body language is that of a hater. Not sure why she works there. I gave her the benefit of doubt but the following day she still scowled at us. She gave me a room day 1 facing the woods. Laselle changed my room to face the airport and the freeway. What a beautiful few. Never heard the planes but the lights were a nice touch on the runway. James works on the restaurant and he was kind of stuck in the Jim Crow era. You can't talk to blk folks like you're their master. I'm sorry our NY city slicker accents annoyed you. He was very loud and rude. He'd remind us over and over he's in charge. Ask for ketchup he's in charge. He came back 30 minutes later with anything you asked for. While standing at the bar serving folks that looked like him. Not my first time in the mid west. I've been to Kansas but this guy is hell bent on making sure you stay in your place. Don't ask for anything. The kitchen staff was blk and he ran back to the kitchen when we asked for anything else. He was gracious but afraid of something. Idk. I checked out and kept driving! The bar/restaurant opens twice a day. No room service. The man working at the bar was a little unhinged.

Yelp
For a industry that is focused on hospitality the late night crew has a LONG way to go. Hotel also is pretty run down. Disappointing as they are the face of your company when guests first arrive. Not appropriate or professional for staff at front desk to stand behind the desk yelling across everything at guests. Several guests in our booking experienced rude front desk staff. Website needs updated to reflect current state of this hotel. Looking at the company's core values they do not align with this property. Someone needs to get in here and do some training and provide them with the resources to make repairs as needed. No live music on weekends as indicated on the website but have a great little stage. Sounds like the entertainment budget has been cut which is ironic considering Nashville is the music capital. Not sure where that cut money is going though. Looks like the 2nd elevator has been broken for several months the others one is on the Fritz. There are 2 luggage carts. One has a flat tire and other has a blow out. LOTS of broken/patched together spaces. 11 flora and only one ice machine which is on the 4th floor. Which is actually a deep freeze cooler with bags of ice (bags of ice are fine). But with an elevator that barely works and having to wait 20 min at times to get on it it's not convenient for those on higher floor. Bathrooms in rooms need lots attention. Pretty sure there is black mold growing in our bathroom shower. My friend with us said her carpet was a little sticky. We had no lampshades. Not everything was horrible. James at the bar was AMAZING! He had wonderful customer service. He gave us an excellent suggestion for dinner after we had appetizers and drinks at the hotel. They are so lucky to have the chef they have too because he is top notch. Gal working in the morning at bar was also super sweet and attentive. Everything we ate there was excellent! Beds are super comfortable and the air conditioner worked great with was great because it is HOT and humid right now. I understand you get what you pay for but our booking was $3,600+. It doesn't matter though if you spend $100 or $3,600. For an industry that is about hospitality people deserve to feel safe, have clean conditions and be treated respectfully. Guest work really hard for their money and are choosing to spend it with you so please do better.

Yelp
Getting right to my point, before the details, for a Marriott property, this is absolute trash. I would not stay here again, even if you gave me a free stay. Customer service. Upon check in the rep checking me in, shushed me twice, when i was trying to ask her a question in reference to the type of room i wanted. No eye contact, rude, like i was disturbing her. When i finally was able to ask a question, she was done and wanted to hand me my room key. I asked, did you check on the 3 requests that i asked for online? 1 A room with a bath/shower combo. 2 A high room overlooking the airport, so i can watch the planes take off and land. 3 If i could possibly be upgraded to a nice suite at no additional charge. Her answers were, "we don't have suites on this property" (that's not true, they do). "all rooms have a bath and shower combination". (that's not true, some are accessibility with walk in shower only). So then i asked again, ok, well then can you get me a room overlooking the airport on a high floor? Her answer was, "well, you can go up to the room, and look out the window to see if it does, then let me know". So, you want me to do your job for you, carry all my stuff up to the room, look at the window, then let you know. After her then calling 4 different people to find out which rooms overlooked the airport, i said forget it and took my room key. I went up to my room on the 7th floor. The room key card did not work, so i had to call and ask for someone to come up and let me in the room with new keys. They did, that took about 10 minutes. I got in the room, looked out the window, to overlooking the 5th floor roof and HVAC system, not overlooking the airport, and surrounded by so many trees, i couldn't even see the Nashville skyline. I left to go to dinner, and stopped at the bar to have a drink. I asked the bartender, if they had a list of restaurants in the area i could see, since i was unfamiliar with the area. Her response was, "well I'm sure there's one around here somewhere". And that was it. No looking for it, no recommendations, nothing. I ordered a drink, there was a woman sitting next to me. We had some casual conversation about what kind of work she was in, (airlines), and what i do, (electronics). I finished my drink after about 15 minutes. The bartender charged me for my drink and 3 of her drinks, i guess, assuming we were together. So my $10.00 drink cost me $46.00. (Melvin, the Manager had the charges reversed) After dinner, i came back to the hotel and pressed the elevator button. The elevator stopped working, and i waited with others around 15 minutes, but both elevators were stuck. I found a maintenance person, who took the freight elevator up apparently, and re-appeared in the elevator i was waiting on. I guess they had to replace the squirrels on the wheel to get it going again. I got up to my room, showered (hot water takes 10 minutes to get hot), then went to bed to relax and watch TV. The TV didn't work. I had to call the front desk, they sent someone up to fix it, and within about 15 minutes he had it running. The next morning, i explained all of this to Melvin, the Manager. He was very kind, seemed genuinely concerned and apologetic. During the day, i received a phone call from the hotel, letting me know that they had changed my room, and for me to come get new keys and i could move my room. (no one offered to help me move all of my things to the other room, i had to request it) I was moved from the 7th floor to the 8th floor, which is the highest floor currently, because they are doing construction on floors 9, 10 and 11. I opened the double doors, and behold! A nice suite and it was overlooking the airport. SO, THEY DO HAVE SUITES. (The front desk clerk lied to me at check in, saying there were no suites on that property) The suite was nice, although dated, with old dingy stained carpet, and a very used bathroom, that needs remodeling, (as they are going to be doing). I woke up in the next morning with 5 spider bites on my arms, ass, and hip. I spoke to Melvin the Manager again, and he agreed to have my room fumigated while i was out. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY HERE. MELVIN WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, but the hotel and the customer service and amenities were terrible.

Yelp
My wife and I hosted our wedding at Hotel Preston. First night be party downstairs over 250 people and Saturday had our wedding in the ballroom main level holding 300 people. Had a great time and our guest loved the venue. Service was excellent

Yelp
Everything needs improvement, we stayed here thinking it was cool and nice hotel, not the case. We were placed in the 2nd floor possibly due to having a pet. The room was very dated almost motel 6 quality and the AC did not function well, no joke it felt like we were in Cancun with how bad the humidity was. Then I was charged twice and here I am almost a month later still no refund. I'd definitely suggest staying elsewhere.

Yelp
What can I say about this place. When I called to ask about rooms the person I spoke with told me and I would be able to get. So when I booked it online and when I arrive and walked into the room it was completely inaccurate. The hotel staff said that there was nothing that they can do. After reviewing the inside of the room we saw ceiling damage from water, the ac did not work and it felt like it was moist the entire time, the bedroom bath tub did not drain and the mini fridge did not hold any kind of temperature, the bedroom's private bathroom was emitting heat from it, and paying for a suite we were told that we would have to pay for a breakfast. I would highly suggest no one visit this site as it seems like it isn't properly managed and they want to rip people off. And a side not the couch / pull out bed was worse than beds in college dorm rooms. My cousin who slept on that could feel ever spring any time he moved.

Yelp
Long time fan, visit for work/fun appx 6 to 8 times/yr. Been coming over 10 years. The past several years have been rough with this renovation. Staff is always outstanding. No parking charges, 4 minutes to the airport, close to the main roads and downtown/Broadway. Easy in/out! James and Brandon the bartenders are fantastic. Can't believe they are losing James, he's served that place well over the years, hopefully they bring him back down the road. This will again be a great hotel if they can get the reno work done! For the price it is worth it. Have to question the ownership/management for letting the reno take this long. Don't count it out down the road.

Yelp
Bartender James awesome. Live music. Food was awesome. Will be back. Ronnie Manager so helpful. Lenard and Melvin at from desk. Great band.

Yelp
We were at Hotel Preston a couple years ago and loved it. Gave it great reviews. We returned in August, 2023 and the rooms were horrible. So run down. Though the front desk understood and switched our room twice, each room was worst then the last. We ended up canceling our two night reservation. Just a few of the many photos we took. Also the AC units were in need of repair...extremely loud. We showed the photos to the front desk and they said the establishment knows the issues. Such a shame. It was a great hotel.

Yelp
After having a great time at the Ed Sheeran concert, we walked for miles to get away from the crowd and get an Uber. We got back to the hotel hot, sweaty, and tired. Only to immediately be met with an elevator that didn't work. We waited at LEAST 20 minutes. I'm not exaggerating. It was 12 am, not like there were tons of people needing to use it. In fact, the only reason it probably showed up at all was because a woman went to ask the front desk what was going on and they said they would "reset it". Like...????? These long waits weren't new, my husband had waited around 12 minutes for it the day before. Being on the 8th floor, after a long day, walking up the stairs wasn't a pleasant prospect; and wouldn't have even been possible for some older patrons. The fact that this obstacle even exists is embarrassing. If the hotel can't afford to prioritize something as essential as the only "working" elevator (the second was broken and not running at all), they don't even deserve to be open. On top of the terrible elevator, the room was a disappointment. The bathroom is tiny - you could fit two people in but you wouldn't want to. And in ours specifically the door couldn't close. Not wouldn't - couldn't. Like it physically didn't fit. So if you wanted room to actually move while in there, you'd need to jam the door closed with something. We lived in England and this bathroom was among the smallest we've been in. Basically all the furniture besides maybe the beds need updating, especially the tub (who even uses tubs anymore?) The most convenient thing in the room was the mini fridge, which looked like it was an afterthought and unceremoniously set on the floor in the corner. The staff were kind enough but obviously not very proactive. How long do 7+ people have to stand in front of the elevator before you think it's time to do something about it? If you're still reading this, do yourself and everyone who will be with you a massive favor and avoid this sh****le hotel. The slightly lower price is NOT worth the trouble. Not only will we never come back, but we'll do our best to forget this terrible experience completely so that the weekend will be remembered in a more pleasant light. Hotel Preston, fix for f*****g elevators.

Yelp
They are great!!! The kind lady at the front desk made me love Nashville! The bed was super comfortable. Soft pillows and hard pillows, nice combo! Clean and well kept.

Yelp
It saddens me to have to write this review. As I know this hotel has come a long way and gone through more than one renovation since the 70's, it has truly fallen off in the past couple of years. We felt this hotel was a sensible option for those looking for an affordable option still close to the landmarks of Nashville, and that their artistic, quirky, boutique style was what really made the place worth the visit. Also in their past, they offered things for your room such as a pet fish, a lava lamp, bamboo plant, etc to stay in your room during your stay. This along with many other details and additions seems to have been stripped from this once cute rest spot. We made it a tradition to come and stay as it's moniker is shared with a family member as well, and it was always a fun thing for us to do. But on our past visit this summer of 2022, we were disappointed to see and feel that the hotel wasn't held to as high of a standard of cleanliness and detail as we had hoped. This included our first room smelling musty, and the room we eventually stayed in having finger prints on the countertops, and the shower not draining leaving you standing in water (not a very clean feeling). We were also disappointed as the art displays downstairs had not changed at all, and that it just seemed like an addition to the hotel that had been forgotten about many years ago. We would love to enjoy this hotel again and would hate for it to go out of business. But at this rate, we don't know how much longer the Ole' Preston has left...

Yelp
The Hotel Preston had really nice rooms with super comfy beds. Bathrooms are a little tight but doable. The tv in our room didn't work, so that was a bummer. They have a restaurant and bar on their main floor that serves delicious food (I got the Oh My Cod). And the pool was very nice and not crowded at all. Very friendly staff and at a good price.

Yelp
It breaks my heart to write a not-so-great review. We stayed here back in in 2016 and LOVED it, so we booked it again for a quick overnight in 2023. The airport shuttle was down when we called, which was one of the reasons we booked it. Ended up spending $40 unexpectedly on a cab to go three miles. This wasn't a big deal, but one of the reasons we thought it was so great is because you could request a goldfish in your room. They said "we don't do that anymore" but it's still on their Expedia description, along with the shuttle. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, but this place has been run down since our last visit. Blinds are ripped, they taped a lampshade together, and the bathroom ceiling was in bad shape. The hallways are like a sauna in the summer. We're just disappointed; whomever was running it back in the day isn't running it anymore and if they are, they don't seem to care. You can find somewhere better to stay in Nashville.

Yelp
Edit: husband was able to change our room; new room had bug on pillow. Luckily no bed bug indications though Room reeks of cigarettes, it hits you hard when you walk in and my throat started hurting within minutes. Honestly only writing a review because the smell gave me a headache. Tried calling the front desk from the room but there was no answer. I walked down to the front desk but they said could not move us to another room because we were traveling with our dog. To add insult to injury, the elevators do not work so we lugged our luggage up narrow poorly lit service stairs.

Yelp
Great convenient location to the airport without being totally out of the way. Has a few local breweries and restaurants around, including a full bar and restaurant in the hotel itself (only breakfast & dinner hours when we went). This definitely isn't a super modern / remodeled place, so if that's what you're looking for, you'll be disappointed. But our room was big, had the amenities we wanted like free and spacious parking options, and the full bar that is open at night! We would definitely stay here again if we didn't want to pay downtown prices and wanted to rent a car!

Yelp
Around 20 cars were either broken into or attempted to be broken into. Staff states the "security" was protoling the (very small) parking lot on one side while the other half was being broken into therefor the police were not called until later. How were the cars being broken into on every side of the parking lot then? A great question none of the staff answered. The manager, Melvin, was very rude when being approached about this issue and offered 0 compensation. Of course their insurance is going to replace our windows but I would assume the hotel would want to provide compensation to their customers ESPECIALLY since there was supposed to be security. The customer service was horrible and there was rust in our bath tub. They require a $100 insurance fee in case we break anything but really they should be giving us an insurance fee considering the events that happened while we stayed there. It was a 0/10 experience and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I would also like to add, the parking lot is very small and visible on both sides. The security guard was clearly not doing their job at all. I have stayed at better hotels for half the price. Do better.

Yelp
I stopped here after a 10 hour road trip expecting to lay head on a nice fluffy pillow after a nice hot shower... After getting there I just knew my hopes were as dead as the elevator they put for decoration at that hotel.. This "quirky boutique" that's "one of a kind" is actually code for THIS PLACE IS BEYOND RANCID. The lady who worked the night shift was absolutely as rancid as the hotel. The first occurrence was when we tried to check in and she said there was no apple pay and only physical card... so as i went to go get the card she told us to move to the side so she can help someone else. That's completely unprofessional and rude. Then after she finally saw us as she pleased, she gave us the key to our room. We noticed that the line for the elevator was long so we decided to take the stairs like champs with 5 bags in each hand & a dog. The staircase was dark, smelly and dusty and the "door stopper" to the staircase as a hole in the wall which was labeled "door stopper" in sharpie. Is that the quirky boutique culture that was advertised? lol bye. After entering the room, the smell emanating was so foul and upon discovery we notice something that looked like contents of throw up. After heading back down the dingy staircase i went to the front desk lady & told her that i will not be showering tonight, and will leave as soon as 4 am tomorrow but at least compensate me for the inconvenience or offer a partial refund, and her snarky remark was "i could just offer you a better room, why would you wanna stay there" so i said how do you know if that room is as clean as this one? She said "I don't know which rooms are clean and which rooms are" LMFAOOO. so she gave me another key card to go look for myself. Upon first look the room was better than the other room so we moved rooms. After a while we noticed that my friend had left her airpods in the previous room. So we told the front desk lady and she basically said tough balls, she checked someone into that room already... how did she check someone else in to that room when less than 30 mins ago we told her there was throw up in the tub. That's a major red flag. She told us to go knock on the door and ask for our airpods back... that's insanity because why would two women ever feel comfortable knocking on a strangers hotel room? She was a woman herself... after pressuring her to LITERALLY DO HER JOB.. she called but told us that they're not answering and there's not much she could do. We went to our room feeling disappointing, defeated and disgusted. That's when we also realized that the elevator was in fact broken.. it goes up & down but the buttons inside don't work lol as i'm getting ready for bed I noticed brown stains all under the sheets... so i did not sleep. I paid $167 to not sleep, not bathe, not eat and get disrespected and lose my airpods. The morning at check out I was met with a nice cooperative supervisor who advised me that she will send me an itemized bill & refund me for the inconvenience. She also told me that it will take up to 3-4 business days for the refund to process. I left her my email & address hoping that was enough for my refund & hopefully the return of the airpods. She told me she could offer a 40% discount off my $167 total and refund me amenity fees & pet fees... ok i could compromise that.. All of that would have been fine except for this morning when my friends bank alerted her that this hotel was trying to charge them $100. I was expecting a refund... not a charge. They won't answer their phones or respond, they're nothing but scammers. Pictures don't match the ones advertised. DO NOT STAY HERE......

Yelp
Definitely in my #1 spot for worst hotel stays. I mean you get what you pay for but HOLY MOLY! First off, our entire floor reeked of weed and cigarettes. Secondly, the handle for the toilet was barely hanging on. Third and fourthly, the walls are paper thin. Our next door neighbors were incredibly loud all night long - slamming doors, yelling, and slamming drawers at 1 am, i definitely loved waking up from the little sleep that we had to them having (marital relations) very loudly bright and early. We called down to the desk twice and banged on their door numerous times throughout the night telling them to be quiet. Like is it that hard to be respectful?! I would be so embarrassed if I got a call from the desk telling me someone complained! I understand it's a hotel, some guests are going to be loud... but all night long is not okay!!!

Yelp
The good: 2 stars for comfortable beds, EV chargers in the parking lot (incl multiple overnight Tesla chargers) and for a nice looking building, conveniently off the interstate just outside of Nashville. The bad: Someone has put "lipstick on a pig" when updating this hotel. The entrance, lobby, restaurant/bar are beautiful. The rooms LOOK nice/updated when you walk in BUT once settled in it's hard to not notice how poorly cared for it really is. This can't be ignored in the bathrooms - from rusty to poor suction drains to the seals around the toilets. We had 3 rooms and all had bathroom issues. One room the TV didn't work. One room didn't have a peephole, and someone did try the door handle around 10pm. The drawers/cabinets had misalignments or were broken. And, the rooms all need a deep clean and, again, esp the bathrooms. But w crappy caulking jobs and rusty drains, idk how clean u can even make it look. The place has a TON of potential but needs someone to give it a lil TLC.

Yelp
AWFUL HOTEL! Don't believe the 3.5 star rating. I've stayed at more hotels thank I could possibly count and this is a 2 star hotel if I've ever seen one. The room was musty and smelled like cigarettes, the draping was frayed, the lap shade was broken and shattered, the toilet paper holder was broken, the paint was chipping, the ceiling was water stained, the furniture was in bad shape, & to top it off, the TV was literally the size of a computer monitor! But the worst part of our experience isn't the room, but the horrible customer service from the incredibly rude front desk clerk. This is literally the absolute worst hotel experience we've ever had. DON'T STAY HERE!

Yelp
Firstly, the staff here is super nice and helpful. Me and my boyfriend were on a road trip of constant traveling and decided to spend 2 nights in Nashville so we booked this hotel. The lobby is very well decorated and has a bar. Seeing this and the friendly front desk staff we were excited to stay here as the first night we really just wanted a chill night at the hotel to relax after several days of travel. First the cable on the tv wasn't working but we were able to get an HDMI cord from the front desk so we used our laptop to watch Netflix. Next we turned on the a/c and it was loud and the noise it was making we weren't familiar with but the maintenance guy who came to check the tv was able to let us know that this is normal for this model of the a/c unit. So we figured we'd just adjust and be fine. The maintenance guy was really nice and even brought us a box fan for the night just in case we weren't able to sleep with the a/c noise. We were also informed that they were fully booked so we wouldn't be able to switch rooms. Which is totally fine and understandable. Then I went to shower. I spent 5 minutes washing my hair and my feet were already covered with water. I also noticed what looked like mold on the ceiling over the shower. There were a ton of pin prick holes as well. I even grabbed a tissue to see if it wiped away or not. There is no fan in the small bathroom so the moisture gets trapped and built up quick and it doesn't surprise me that there was mold. The walls of the rooms are also very thin. We could hear everything the people in the room next to us were doing. And when their door slammed shut it actually made me jump because it was so loud I thought it was in our room. It's a good thing we didn't plan on sleeping in otherwise the other hotel guests would have woken us up just by talking outside the door. Only one of the 3 blinds worked. The toilet pipes were very loud and made noise every hour so we had to sleep with the bathroom door shut. The room and bathroom were also very small and just didn't fit the image I had in my head after seeing the lobby. After all this we decided that we couldn't spend 2 nights here. This was supposed to be a relaxing night during a busy road trip and it just ended up not being relaxing at all sadly. The staff at this hotel was really great, but the room was just a disappointment. The only reason I'm not doing 1 star is because of the great staff.

Yelp
This place is absolutely perfect! It's conveniently located near the airport and the highway. The room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly and the food in the restaurant was really good! I wish we were staying more than just one night... the grounds were well kept and the inside was beautiful. They offer shuttle services to and from the airport and the shuttle drive was super nice and very informative, they have EV charging stations and I highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
I'm loving this. I'm en route to Asheville and so I drove here and I have loved it. Now I do have to say that this was a freebie from using hotels.com (10th stay is free). The check in staff was competent and helpful. The pool is truly wonderful. Sun/shade, well kept, water temp perfect for swimming. Everyone is happy around the pool, nice place to be. Pet friendly so people are overall happier. Food, I didn't have high hopes but I didn't want to leave the grounds in search of a meal. Great surprise. The in house cafe is really good and it's cute! Good local beers on tap and really good and fresh sandwich and fries. My room is very nice. And this stop is right toff Briley parkway so I don't lose much time. Highly recommend.

Yelp
filthy dirty rooms. dead bugs, cobwebs, stains on walls, floors and furniture. paint is peeling off the ceiling and walls, hardware is rusty and gross. hotel was remodeled in 2018, so all the pics they have online are from then. it looks nothing like that. they also lie on their web site about their amenities. there are no robes, no alarm clocks, no bluetooth speakers, pool is closed. a disgrace and an insult to customers.

Yelp
We went to an art gallery opening in their lower lobby and it was such a good vibe! The bartender James, was super friendly and the live music in their restaurant (Blackwood) was just the cherry on top. 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
I had a perfectly fine stay this past weekend. I got this hotel through Hotwire and was pleasantly surprised. I checked in after midnight, and there were absolutely no issues. The clerk up front was friendly, fast, and efficient. Yes, there is only one working elevator, and yes, the max amount of people is 5 for the elevator. As long as you don't need the elevator at busy times, the elevator works just fine. The room itself was also great - nice and spacious. The pillows were good, too. Check out went well, too. Don't be scared of these reviews!

Yelp
The Hotel Preston has a good reputation. I love the boutique style lobby with the live music and food. But the rooms are neglected and I was very disappointed with the service. Our bathroom shower had a curtain rod that was very loose and dangerously ready to fall. It prevented the curtain from hanging straight and would cause the water to fall on the floor. I called and they said they would get somebody to look at it. Nothing. Also, the walls are thin so you can hear everything. And the tv doesn't tune in to the basic network channels. The keys become demagnetized even when they are nowhere near phones or credit cards and you need your key to access the elevator (lame and inconvenient) and so getting new keys required waiting in line at the lobby where they have just one person working. And no daily housecleaning service. COVID is over. Overall, I was disappointed...

Yelp
No hot tub, cold outdoor pool. Great bar and bartender, but the rest is bare bones. The hummus and fries were good, but the rest of the food is terrible. The room is spacious enough.

Yelp
Food was over priced for what you got. $32 for a burger & fries. $16 for a Margaritas. The Hotel staff were not very accommodating. If you had a problem...good luck. We had a 2 hour black out due to storms and though they had a back generator, they had no diesel fuel to run it and NO emergency lights. For the price of the room....Stay somewhere else.

Yelp
Why has this Hotel not been red taped? This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. I did not pick the location and it was business-related for late arrival/overnight stay. The bathroom was worst than the room itself. It was not clean and the plumbing was not completed. Per, their website everything was remolded to contemporary (when/where). Please clean up this place.

Yelp
Well, the only thing good I can say about the room is the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is small, the room is old and outdated, there is only 1 lamp in the whole room, not enough outlets, not outlet that is reachable near the bed for your phone, our sink was stopped up which they came and "fixed" but it didn't work, the door wouldn't closed good so we had to slam it when leaving the room which caused a very loud noise! So, we will not be staying there again! We may come eat at the restaurant, which is actually very good!

Yelp
I don't know why this hotel has a low rating. I loved it. They were very accommodating when I got stuck in Nashville because of a bumped flight. The room was lovely, staff was helpful, pool was nice and they have a restaurant and bar on property. Not sure what there is to complain about ...? it's also close to the airport and reasonably priced. It has several art displays in the building. I would recommend for sure.

Yelp
Very rough around the edges. Lots of things in need of repair, even the hotel sign. It's worse than a motel 6 , but they put a coat of paint on and improved the lobby of. Would not return.

Yelp
Room was nice but check-in was problematic. When I first arrived, waiting to check in, there was a woman in front that had already checked in and walked into a room with people in her assigned room. I figured this was a one time mistake, didn't think much of it, got my room key went up to my room and lo and behold there were two people sleeping in double beds when I open the door. I quickly shut the door and went down to the front desk and they got me a new room. But I did not sleep well that night thinking that somebody else might walk into my room! Again, room was nice. I just wish they had a better reservation/check-in system that would prevent people from checking into rooms where other people are already staying.

Yelp
I have Never left a bad review for a hotel but this one takes the cake. Outside and in the lobby it's nice. Place seemed clean. Check in went well and they had a toy to pick out for it dog. Breakfast was decent. Nothing to write home about. Those are about the only good things I really have to say. 1. Very busy parking lot, not quite their fault due to location but only 3 spots for larger vehicles or trailers at the top of the hill. A Semi was blocking all the slots and after I mentioned something, was still there hours later, forcing an RV to park in the lower parking lot. 2. Keys were difficult for some parties to scan into the elevator with. When you're balancing a dog (pet friendly place), luggage and kids, scanning the key isn't helpful. 3. Not quite sure about other floors but the second floor was dismal, smelled of pot, and reminded us of a prison. 4. Room was clean, but as you can see, the door didn't latch well at all, was difficult to close and when it did, was very loud as we had to force it closed. 5. Bathroom was clean but the door was rusted on the bottom and the plumbing in the tub wasn't sealed. Bottom line, if they were going for quirky, they severely missed the mark and went into feeling unsafe and just put off. For a 3 star hotel, I've stayed at better La Quinta's.

Yelp
Pros- *Bed was amazingly comfortable *Large room *Friendly staff *Close enough to all of our destinations. *Lobby and pool area was beautiful. Cons- *Hair in our shower upon check in *Huge wet spot on the floor by the window. *No blow dryer in room, had to wait till the next day for housekeeping to unlock one. *Only had towels replenished once, and were given only two. *Coffee maker was dusty and dirty inside where you put the water. *Bathroom door didn't lock. *Lock on inside of the bedroom door was broken. *Weird white stain behind toilet, maybe from a leak. *Only one microwave in the whole hotel. And it's on the 8th floor, teeny tiny microwave. *Two elevators for 11 floors of rooms *Dust all over our room, under the phone, the tv, in drawers. *Back to the remote was missing, where the battery goes. *The ice situation was weird, bags of ice in a freezer. Made us uncomfortable not knowing how long the ice had been in each bag. There is no ice machine. *AC was really loud and dated. Overall we had just an ok experience. My sister, in another room, her AC didn't work, they slept in sweat the first night, then they moved the next morning. Had high hopes about the lava lamp/ guitar/fish, but was told that was no longer a thing. Just need to work on cleaning up the rooms

Yelp
Customer service is not existent. 1 elevator for 10 floors. Wait 20+ mins for elevator. Employees yelling at guests in lobby. $17 additional for amenities. Our TV didn't work. There was no one there to unlock the pool at the time it was supposed to be open.

Yelp
This hotel has excellent staff. Very nice and super helpful. The hotel is older so don't expect a 5 star but it has nice touches like friendly staff, music by local musicians, CLEAN ROOMS and pretty good food. The pool was closed which made sense because it was during the rainy season. Pool does not open until after Labor Day. Shuttle service was a little inconsistent also. Overall the hotel was older but clean. Very nice staff and very close to the airport! Nashville Hotels are very expensive so for the price I would recommend this Hotel.

Yelp
I was actually pleasantly surprised at the overall experience at this hotel! Last minute booking and the hotel was clean and the staff was kind! I honestly was prepared to be let down because that had been the trend lately with hotels and everything going on these days. However, I have nothing negative to say at all! I will come back!!!! Hotel is also really close to everything!

Yelp
I honestly was scared to stay here because of all the bad reviews but it honestly isn't bad. Yes there are cosmetic issues (dressers missing doors, mix matched nightstands, etc) but that's the least you could worry about in hotels. The bathroom was tight and ugly but hey the toilet flushed and there was warm water that's all you need. The beds were very comfy best sleep I've had in a while. I only stayed 2 nights for my elopement weekend and it was a good stay for me ‍ I will say I thought it was going to be closer to downtown Nashville like literally in walking distance but it's about a 10 minute drive on the highway to downtown area

Yelp
Original booking was for a double queen, the hotel was overbooked so they moved 3 grown adults into a single king room and promised a roll away bed for the 3rd adult. Had to call multiple times up until 11:30pm to get the rollaway, and was treated very rudely when it was delivered. Then had to call again for sheets and blankets for it, again treated rudely. Told to come in the next day to switch back to a double queen. Second day the lady behind the counter accused us of lying and was rude about making the correction. 10/10 would not recommend, and we won't be staying here ever again. Ceiling I'm bathroom was rusty, shower head sprayed water everywhere, weird soft spot in the middle of the floor, and only one floor out of 11 has an ice machine.
