"Set on Sydney's stunning Bondi Beach, the 12-room Hotel Ravesis has enticing pops of pastel — both on the hotel's façade and interior — that play off the adjacent beach's gold-and-blue palette. The suites offer ocean views, but that's not the only hotel feature that capitalizes off the coastal locale of this hotel; the restaurant serves oysters shucked to order. The restaurant and cocktail bar at Ravesis gives a glimpse into Aussie-style, farm-to-table dining, with locally sourced ingredients and an in-house pickling operation." - Travel + Leisure Editors

"How did it strike you on arrival? With its pretty white and flamingo-pink façade, arched windows and wraparound balcony, Hotel Ravesis commands one of the best corners on Bondi’s seafront Campbell Parade, with views across the road to the beach and ocean. The hotel has its own entry for check-in, separate from the ground-floor bar. Nice. What’s the crowd like? International and interstate beachgoers book into Ravesis to check out the Bondi lifestyle, as well as hedonistic lovers of a good night out. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. Occupying the top two floors of the 1914 building, 12 boutique rooms beckon with side street or beachfront views, Juliet balconies or sunny terraces, and some split-level suites. Lighter and brighter after a 2017 redesign, each individually styled bedroom embraces a coastal blue, green and chartreuse colour scheme with hits of sorbet pink. Interiors have a vintage-modern feel, with laid-back lounge chairs, sleek coffee tables and retro radios. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us? Spacious Queen, King and Twin beds in white linen flaunt upholstered headboards with vibrant patterns. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? Mini-bar, cable TV, DVD player, and tea- and coffee-making kit are all present and correct. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. All rooms are ensuites, most with baths. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word? Wi-Fi is free. Room service: Worth it? Room service, tick. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why? The 24-hour front desk crew can help with local dining tips, valet parking, booking an in-room massage, beach towel hire or surfboard storage. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you. Sociable types will love the buzzy indoor-outdoor bar-restaurant on the airy, first-floor balcony, where chef Peter Streckfuss serves seasonal, Australian produce from oysters to fresh fish and house-made pasta. Drinks span beer, wine and cocktails. There’s also a popular ground-floor public bar, which screens sports with live music and DJs, and a dedicated club space. Regular events include Friday fiesta El Rosa and Señor Sundays. If you’re noise-sensitive, this stay probably isn’t for you. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? Pop across the road to frolic on Bondi Beach, where you’ll also find a skatepark, Icebergs oceanside pool, street art and outdoor cafes and bars. Then again you could just soak up seaside scenes from your bedroom balcony. Bottom line: worth it, and why? Ravesis is Bondi’s only beachfront hotel with ocean views. It’s also on the corner of foodie Hall Street, home to some of the best local dining and shopping spots." - Sophie Davies

It's off season, so the vibe was pretty quiet, which was nice, but I am guessing this place hops during the season! It's right on the main street next to Bondi Beach and is a great location. So many shops, restaurants and scenic views right outside the door.|The room was very comfortable and the views were great. It's a french balcony, so no sitting outside, but you can open them to get fresh air, which is nice. The bar downstairs was great, very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had a late flight and could not get late check out, which was a pain, but they did hold our luggage for us, which was nice. They had event space upstairs which said they have live entertainment in season, and also had a nice outdoor patio for public use. The staff was pretty friendly, but definitely no nonsense. I'm guessing they have their hands full during the season, as they have very specific rules posted for guests about how many guests, no parties, etc. I'd stay here again, for the location and comfy room with a great view.

I came here with my partner and we were offered an outside table. We ordered what the waitress recommended and we were blown away by the food! We came a second night and the bar tender was so lovely! The people that work here are amazing! Amazing views. Amazing food. Amazing service. Highly recommend.

Google
Had the pleasure of staying at Ravesis in Feb of this year. The location is undeniably perfect as you're right in the heart of all the Bondi action. The views from the room were unforgettable. Cleaning crew and front desk staff were incredibly professional and prompt. The bar downstairs is a good spot for socializing at night - great drinks and friendly service. It's not often that I get to travel to the other side of the world, but when I do next, I'll be staying here again;)

Google
Bar staff ok. Management absolutely TERRIBLE. The food is the best I've ever had in Bondi. Omar needs a 5* rating as does his boss. Responses from management are less than adequate for people that have legitimate complaints, as they are regulated by an owner that has little to no idea about hospitality

Google
Great location and hotel. The room which was supposed to be noisiest is not that concerning. we stayed and slept without any issue, maybe some people are more sensitive to noise. walk along the beach, sunrise and water sport all was great. plenty food options around as well.

Chefs Kevin and Omar were absolute cuisine magicians today!! … for my friend’s Sunday birthday lunch of 11 out on balcony with its fabulous views Bondi Beach. Their Baby Barra was drop dead delicious.. just melt-in-the mouth butteriness and crispiest skin.. and a whole big baby fush was presented with buttery fresh asparagus and perfectly dressed cress. Very generous portions… The wild bore pate was more like a tartare, which I didn’t expect but loved as a delicate alternative to the nirm. Its finely minced pickled shallots and a beautiful heat from green pepper seasoned it , creating a lovely balance with crispy lavosh. I loved the Love My Way cocktail of tequila and strawberries - divinely mixed with slightly crunchy dried powdery raspberry bubbles on top , and the two Rieslings after with the main ( the barramundi) just rounded off the meal to perfection. Service was ever-present, responsive - smiling and friendly! Such gorgeous girls! Absolutely Recommend for a beautiful meal out with friends, family and loved ones!! 😋 🥙 🐠

Google
Family dinner for my son's 21st birthday last night. Our table was upstairs on the balcony. I have to say, the service was top notch and the food was very good too. Small menu, but it's fine. The place is noisy - even outside - but worth putting up with the noise for the view. We probably only come here once a year as we don't live nearby, but it's worth the drive.

Google
Such an awesome location- if you want an awesome Sunday afternoon session this is the place to be the vibes are high service was great and cocktails were delicious, highly recommend- also being able to see Bondi beach from level two is pretty epic.

Yelp
They had one order, a bottle of rose champagne yes they service the burt. We had not tried any food, instead headed to the iceberg terrace popup after the rose was corrected and enjoyed. The view was amazing.

Yelp
We loved our stay here. Amazing location and we were lucky enough to have a suite overlooking Bondi Beach. One star off as the room wasn't as clean as it should have been.

Yelp
The last time I was here this place with pretty packed (well, not that packed, at least where I was, but there seemed to be an awful lot of activity on the second floor) but I really aren't a fan of this place - it just seemed to be a bit too classy for me. Okay, it's also at Bondi and I'm really not a fan of Bondi (though I probably should get around to checking out Bronte and Coogee - but that is another story). I've been here a couple of times at both times I never seemed to grab me all that much. Sure the staff were nice, and they had some decent beers on tap, but it's not really a place that I would gravate too.

Jaejin K.

Yelp
I ordered Seafood Linguine, my husband ordered Open crab Lasagne. Very good. Great view. Nice atmosphere :) All staffs are kind&friendly.

Yelp
Ravesi's location on Bondi Beach makes it ideal for a holiday by the sea (or the illusion of it if you're here for work). Mere steps out of the lobby and you're in the sand. In minutes you can join the Bondi to Bronte coast walk, which is probably the most picturesque path I have seen in my life. All this is to say if a beachfront locale is a top priority, Ravesi's has it. However, the hotel's showing its age with a lot of fraying around the edges. The lift feels seedy, the hallways have seen better days and the bathrooms are from another era. Additionally, Ravesi's is home to loads of live music performances, which is great if you're here for a show but less lovely if you came here to sleep. Guests are given the impression that Ravesi's is a bar/restaurant first and a hotel a distant second. That said, I found the staff accommodating and enjoyed that a terrific used bookstore (Gertrude & Alice Cafe Bookstore) is moments away. I might come back to Ravesi's but I'd definitely stay away during high season if traveling for business.

Yelp
Came here for lunch during the week. We sat on the balcony and had a really nice view overlooking Bondi beach. We had the $39 Two Course Menu which was amazing. Beautiful salad for entree and yummy squid ink pasta with seafood. For dessert - specially coming with pregnant girlfriend - we had sharing plate of 4 deserts from the desert menu. It was a huge dessert - when we order the waitress called us 'brave' . But hey you cant say no to pregnant hungry woman! Overall we had a great meal. The food was really good and had a lots of flavor. The staff was super nice and polite just like great dining on the balcony of Bondi view should be.

Yelp
I came here last year after City2Surf and it was packed. More recently came here for drinks before dinner. The footy was on TV so the downstairs area was packed. We went upstairs to find that it was less crowded and sat at a table outside. Great view of the water! There was the Ravesi white wine, which didn't really describe what kind of wine it was.The bartender was really nice and let me try the wine before I committed. It wasn't really my thing, so I got the pinot gris. They also have Montieth's Cider, which is really nice and refreshing. Overall a great place.

Yelp
'Twas a chilly early evening to be strolling around Bondi Beach so my visiting friends and I went looking for somewhere warm with a view. Ravesis with it's balcony overlooking Bondi Beach and plastic sheeting looked just the ticket. We grabbed a bench and stools to the side (the front is reserved for Restaurant guests) and on request one of the staff kindly moved a heater to our table. A couple of drinks later and we couldn't really be bothered going elsewhere to eat so hit the restaurant. I normally have pizza in the bar because they're really good but my friends had more sophisticated tastes... Our waiter (brand new to the job- and country- and very sweet) brought us a menu and it turned out there's a special on Tuesdays- $35 for two courses. But no vegetarian option. I KNOW, in this day & age! I said, "There's no veg option?" and Cute Waiter said, "no, we don't have vegemite sorry". Haha. So my only option was a pumpkin risotto (yawn and the only veg dish on the menu anyway) for $35. I ordered fries.

Yelp
Located right on Bondi Beach, with breathtaking coastal views, Ravesi's Restaurant provides the perfect setting for those who value good food and wine. This is a beautiful bar. Dine inside and enjoy the relaxed and stylish atmosphere, or simply sit out on the terrace and observe all the interesting people walking by. Under the direction of acclaimed chef Darren Elmes, Ravesi's serves an innovative menu that mixes together an exciting variety of flavours from the Pacific with influence from Asia, Latin America and the Mediterranean.I was as impressed with my pizza as I was with the view. They're also very helpful when it comes to choosing the perfect wine to accompany your dish. The restaurant is part of a hotel of the same name and is open for lunch and dinner only during specific times: Monday - Friday: Lunch 12pm - 2:30pm; Dinner from 6pm Saturday: Lunch 12pm - 4pm; Dinner from 6pm Sunday: Lunch 12pm - 3.30pm; Not open for dinner

Yelp
A trendy locale at Bondi Beach which is a hotel and conferencing facility in addition to enjoying some trendy time out with a few friends. A great hot spot where participants in the City to Surf get to unwind after their accomplishments over a beer, coffee or a light lunch. Or even if you have viewed the sculptures that will soon come to Bondi Beach shortly for another year. Its a beautiful hotel, and a great way to soak in the sun on a beautiful Saturday afternoon after walking along Bondi Beach and Tamarama. Their cafe lattes (the latte drinking side of the Eastern Suburbs) speak volumes for the skills of the barista's if an alcoholic drink is not for you. You have to be in the mood for it to really appreciate this establishment; otherwise just get some take away and eat it at the beach. For many Sydneysiders who do not live in Bondi; by default once they have been to Ravesi's: on their next Bondi Beach trip: their unconscious mind will just bring them in the direction towards this establishment for their lunch and maybe a snack. Their salads are just divine. Great customer service and beautiful amenities inside. Most of the experiences here have become a blur; not overly memorable except for the service and the great hospitality here. You feel right at home here.

Julia W.

Yelp
When a Saturday afternoon at Bondi beach rolls into a Saturday night, you'll probably find yourself at Ravesi's Hotel. Ravesi's is in the enviable position of being directly across the road from Bondi beach so boasts a spectacular setting. The downstairs pub/bar area is typically packed with a bevy of tanned beauties and upstairs the cocktail lounge/restaurant buzzing as the ocean breeze slips over the balcony. The addition of the wine bar makes Ravesi's a sort of choose your own night out adventure experience. Oh and of course the offer boutique accommodation but that is another story unto itself! More often than not Ravesi's pub/bar area is super busy on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and it will be your day if you manage to snare a couch or a chair so expect to be standing for a while. If you're keen to avoid the crowd Ravesi's is still magic mid-week with my tip being 'Gypsy Jazz and French Swing' at the wine bar on Thursday evenings.

Clay C.

Yelp
Great hotel located across the street from bondai beach. We were fortunate to stay in a room facing the water and the view was amazing!

Jenelle M.

Yelp
A large bar/restaurant in a fantastic Bondi location. You can sit downstairs in the bar and watch the many passers by or head upstairs to enjoy the ocean breeze and views. There are plenty of tables and when we visited on a Sunday afternoon it was easy to get a good table upstairs with a view. Food options include small or share plates and substantial meals. I can recommend the margarita pizza and the beef burger. Both were full of flavour.

Zvezdana O.

Yelp
This place occupies prime real estate on Bondi Beach and the second floor has great views, but otherwise is pretty mediocre in every way. The bar wasn't busy and the two pretty bartenders were engrossed in conversation, which they didn't seem to want interrupted. I kept looking their way and smiled. Still took several more moments for the conversation to cease and for service to commence... so one of them grudgingly comes over and we order wine, I had a pinot noir and my friend had a sauvignon blanc. Mine tasted like Cardbordeaux and my friend wanted something with passionfruit notes... well, it was like passionfruit MORTIEN. Seriously, they were both absolutely horrible wines. HORRIBLE! Like, really, the worst ever. They were hard to finish. If you want to bother with this place, come for the views and stick to a tried and true beer you love. This place is a tourist trap. OK, you got me once, but... never again. Thanks.

Marc D.

Yelp
I went here for a after work drink with mates it was cool. You have a nice view to the water of Bondi beach from the upstairs area. Downstairs it was very noisy because a lot of traffic on the road. Staff is friendly a the prices for beer are normal for a place like this.

Matt M.

Yelp
Food was amazing, good beer selection, and the location is perfect. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Joel Amigo H.

Yelp
Ravesis is more about who's there, than what's there. The chilled vibe of Bondi kind of butts heads with the out-of-town high brow classiness of this establishment. I have to admit the women look amazing, and the lads are dressed to impress - but it's a bit of an overkill even for a overly pretentious bar in Bondi. As you may notice when you're there, most of their customers are not Bondi locals, and if you know Bondi locals, you'll know why. I prefer the slightly more relaxed upstairs, which hold a great big balcony that overlooks the entirety of the Bondi coast, and it's lightly shadowed, and can get a bit brisk in the wind - so maybe bring something warm. The bar staff are quite friendly during the day, but as it gets extremely busy on the weekends, they may seem a bit flustered. When it get's busy on the weekend, head upstairs for some dancing, and maybe you'll do some celeb spotting as well - I know it's a bit of a hot spot for the rich and famous in Bondi.

Hubert G.

Yelp
View is amazing, the entertainment is sufficient. Visited Hotel Ravesis after a day at Bondi Beach. This Hotel is relaxed and very refined. When we arrived, there was a function happening, therefore part of the seating was reserved, so we opted to sit our on the balcony. The view was excellent, and the interior of the hotel is great. I will definitely be visiting it again.

Bob V.

Yelp
Just did the Bondi to Bronti walk. I needed a place to get a beer and charge my headphones. Almost didn't come in because the place was half empty. Glad I did. The beer was cold, the calamari decent. 4 stars because the plug was next to what has to be the world's best jukebox. Great combination of classic to obscure alternative: Stones, Beatles, The Church, Raveonettes, Clash, Saints, Paul Kelley, Dinosaur Jr, and more. I could sit her for hours.

Caroline S.

Yelp
Ravesis has the reputation of being a bit highbrow, at least for the Bondi area. The locals are generally pretty chilled and when it comes to a drink and a meal, beer and pizza will do just fine. So the classy essence of Ravesis makes some of the Bondi locals a bit uneasy. I'll have to admit I am one of them. Usually I'm strolling around Bondi in some jeans and a t-shirt, enjoying a drink at the more secluded bars, but I always end up walking past Ravesis. You'll often see girls in pretty dresses and heels and boys donning a nice shirt and some classy leather shoes. There is nothing wrong with that at all, it's just a matter of your taste. The only time I like popping in there is Thursday nights when they have live cover bands playing. It's fun and usually play awesome songs. It's not really a dancing place so if you feel like chilling with a drink and listening to some live music you'll really enjoy it. The restaurant upstairs is classy and it overlooks the beach so for some it's worth the price you pay. I'll be honest and say that Ravesis has never been my local for as long as I have lived there, it just does not have that charisma of the smaller bars in Bondi. It's very popular and lacks intimacy. But if you're looking for a bit of a classier night in the Bondi region, this would be the place.

Lydia A.

Yelp
Come here if you want stunning views, a relaxed atmosphere and a place to meet lots of new people. Upstair there's a terrace/balcony with a cocktail bar that looks out over the expanse of Bondi beach. Perfect for a glass of wine after a long day in the sun or after a run along the wharf. They sell a range of tapas and snacks to compliment all this - and as if that wasn't good enough, it's well priced. Unsurprisingly given the great atmosphere, food and drinks Ravesi's gets popular so it's worth getting there early if you want a good table from which to watch the sun go down.

John C.

Yelp
Ravesi's is a large, glamorous, boutique hotel across from Bondi Beach. I have not stayed there and I presume I could not afford to anyway, so I am just going to talk about the food. Now be warned the main restaurant menu is pricy so don't expect cheap eats, this is not a hotel with $10 steaks, the main are between $35- $40, but consider what you are getting for your cash. I had the Lamb rump with fennel puree, spinach, pine nuts and cranberry- merlot jus. Can't you just imagine it. This was the kind of meal which reminds you what dining out is all about, it is the sort of dish you could never cook yourself unless you are a chef or want to spend all day in the kitchen mastering it and when eating a meal like this you forget about the money and just enjoy. Every once in a while it is nice to let your taste buds do a little happy dance. The setting and service are also high end, providing a fabulous dining experience, this is the sort of dining which leaves a lasting impression.

Alexandra C.

Yelp
The bartenders on the 2nd floor are rude and unprofessional. They need to learn some manners.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Always a great spot to come for some oysters and aperol spritz's in the summer! I also love stopping in for a cider after coming off the beach. The staff are always so helpful and go above and beyond to find me a nice table on the balcony when looking for one. The new renovations and furnishings have really freshened things up. One of my favourite spots in Bondi!

Lucinda W.

Yelp
I came here for new years eve 3 year ago and had an amazing night. We paid $100 for a ticket but that included all drinks and food. I came back here last weekend for a drink on Bondi Beach. It is in a perfect location in Bondi to sit back and watch all the people passing by. The food there is really good, the pizzas there are delicious and reasonably priced.

Julia I.

Yelp
Forget the Bondi pubs... they've gone to the dogs. It's all about the beach bars these days. Just don't order a margarita here. You can't even drink them for the amount of lime. I mean don't get me wrong, I love to tang, but this is ridiculous... to the point you pull a face of disgust every time you take a sip before realising life's too short for this kind of tangy torture - even though you've parted with $15+. Tapas style share plates are the way forward.... stagger them so you can drag out the session. Lounge it up on the balcony above the Bondi action and kick off with the fetta stuffed olives - crumbed and fried - but get them to hold the salt $10. Try the mushroom arancini with pesto and aioli $10. And the trout and ginger dumplings with tamarind relish $12. It can get a bit too cool for school here come the weekend. But I've stumbled in here (downstairs) on a Monday night to find an awesome covers band and a fun laidback crowd.

Hope D.

Yelp
Food was good. Customer service was weird. If you eat in the downstairs open air bar across from the beach, (vs upstairs restaurant) you must order your food at the bar. That's fine. No one follows up after you get your meal. When i asked for a takeaway container for 3/4 of a leftover pizza, they said they don't do such a thing. Seriously? What a waste of food. I could have given it to a homeless person since Im staying in a hotel. A local Aussie at next table agreed this was weird and not to judge. I won't. Some people are just jerks.

Tony B.

Yelp
I stayed overnight in a standard room and it is undeniably a great location across from the beach however they neglected to advise me on check in that I would be woken at 7am by construction work as part of the renovation currently underway. I was unable to enjoy any peace after that time because of the drilling and banging that goes along with the renovation process. Had I known this I would have found somewhere else. Just check before booking to ensure the renovation is complete would be my advice.

Amie M.

Yelp
Worst service manager never came out after waiting for 15 mins will never return horrible food and service ... Yuck

Andy R.

Yelp
22nd of February 2015 ok , so let me start off, the burger was really good, so was the chicken parma, the mexican pizza was terrible. the service how ever really took things to a new level, we had a young blonde dish pig look after us, who said things like "yeah mate it commin" and "ill check one more time for ya" . basically rather then bore you with some rant let me just get straight to the point . we ordered 3 meals at once, 1 came out the other 2 where 20 minutes later, the bloke looking after originally said " the chefs had forgotten" and then once we asked for a free round of drinks he said "na mate, shit takes longer to make then others " "the manger didn't think it was that long". "why youse getting angry"...... we asked to talk to the manger and after 15 minutes of waiting for that not to happen we left. had our 68 year old dad in town to have dinner with his 2 boys for the last of the summer and it was completely ruined by shit service. ever the security gaurds and other staff were seen to be joking standing around and laughing at us. if your from out of town, do not eat here. As a Bondi local i can unequivocally say that this does not represent the sprit or service or attitude Bondi has to offer. its just another over glorified dolled up pub, that will always do well due to its location and doesn't care for its customers ........ meal was $72 to eat in the pub section for 3 and a whole lot of waiting and bad attitude for me to ever come back to this place ever again. REALLY REAALY REALLY BAD. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Get your drink.. Go upstairs and get seated on the balcony to absorb the view with a good schooner.. Lot of tourists around, but hey thats Bondi and Ravesi is in such a great position overlooking both the street and the beach, how could you not want to visit??

Emma L.

Yelp
Went for a drink after dinner with some friends.....the cocktails are not good, just way too much pre-mixl. syrup and at $17 each you expect slightly better. We returned our 3, said they weren't good. When I complained to the manager he told me I was wrong, i was being rude and to leave. So I wasted $51 and got reprimanded for complaining.
