I had a good experience at this hotel and I would stay there again. You are not in the centre of the action here, but personally I prefer that. The area is very quiet but still lots of convenience stores and restaurants around. I arrived on a Sunday and heard the receptionist telling a couple that a lot of the restaurants are closed over the weekend, as they are mostly catering to office workers. I found this to be the case and struggled to find somewhere to eat when I went looking for dinner on Sunday. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from 2 subway stations, so it’s easy to get around. I also walked to the main shopping area a couple of times, and back from Osaka Castle - all very walkable weather permitting. It’s not a 5 minute stroll (more like 30 mins) but as long as the weather is good it’s a pleasant and interesting walk.My one not quite gripe, but suggestion to the hotel is bigger bins in the room! I understand and have no problems with the eco-policy where rooms are not cleaned unless requested, but I was filling up my bin everyday which made me want it cleaned daily. I saw someone leave their bin outside the room one day, so I also started doing this towards the end of my trip and the cleaner did empty it for me. The hotel provided a lot of amenities - having a station for them seems to be the done thing in Japan, at least in my experience. I particularly enjoyed the bath salts - helped me relax after long days with lots of walking.
