"Like the gourmet restaurant, Gasthaus also combines modernity and tradition, from the decor down to the menu. While things are a bit more casual here, the cooking is also really good – the quality of the sauces alone will convince you of that! You can put together your own menu – and even make it vegetarian. Friendly service." - Michelin Inspector

"Having run this establishment with bags of charm and a sure touch for four generations, the Fehrenbacher family has made a real success of its restaurant – it has retained its Michelin star every year since 1990! Daniel Fehrenbacher, who took over the helm of this award-winning kitchen from his father Otto, is the man behind the outstanding modern French cuisine. He attaches great importance to showcasing what the region and the changing seasons have to offer, which is particularly evident in the game dishes. Interesting flavour contrasts are skilfully incorporated into the dishes. The winning combination of modern and classical elements also applies to the decor: a mix of chic, minimalist style and Black Forest charm. For connoisseurs of fine wines, the service team at the Adler offers astute wine recommendations." - Michelin Inspector

This is our third time staying at this wonderful hotel. It is immaculate, very comfortable beds , perfect accommodations. The breakfast is very unique. You are waited upon and order everything from eggs( made to your personal liking), fresh orange juice etc. It has an incredible ambiance with happy, caring staff. We lived in Germany decades ago and ate here weekly. Looking forward to dinner in their restaurant tomorrow evening !

Only had dinner here in one of the restaurants, very very nice and kind people! Food is good and the entourage is also great. We didn’t sleep here because there was no airco…. And with 30 degrees that is a must for us. That’s the only negative point.

This was our second stay at the Adler and it was as brilliant as I remember. The rooms are fantastic with a great view out on the hills. The location is perfect for the little trips into Black Forrest or the surrounding wine country. The hotel staff know the area well and due to the 1 star Michelin restaurant will be able to tell you which producers to visit.||||The added bonus is that Alsace is only an hour away and this hotel will beat anything they have price quality wise. We usually stay here an do the day trips to Riquewihr. Also make sure you dine at the hotel the food is amazing

I have been to this hotel many times over the past 7 years and quality has always been consistently good. The best rooms are at the back of the hotel on the first and second floors, they are very modern, of a quality one would expect in a four star establishment. Other rooms are a little less modern, but still good. The chef is excellent - try the creme brûlée! The breakfast spread is also very good.| N

Breakfast was great, the rooms looked updated and the staff was friendly. But... The balcony of room no 105 needs maintenance, I have a normal weight but my husband is more heavy and the balcony floor was made of small wooden panels that bended almost to the point of breaking and we walked very carefully. The beds were not my favorite, I had a bad night, there were a lot of nice pillows though

We we unaware of the famous restaurant and just stayed one night to visit friends nearby. The reception was friendly and professional. The room excellent, good beds, nice bathroom, amenities and good wifi. Balcony and quiet. The breakfast was superb - served well and eggs menu available. Nothing missing. Strongly recommended. Next time, we try the resto !

Used as an overnight stop on our way back home in August, we stayed at this hotel in a junior suite. The suite is decorated in a classic style and has all the amenities one needs. There are two TV’s, a minibar, a sitting corner and a spacious bed. The bathroom has a bath and shower. The WC is separate which is always pleasant. The suite was extremely clean, even in the corners! Although the gourmet restaurant was closed, “Das Gasthaus” offered superb food and wines. Do I have to say that breakfast was also delicious? We were looking for a perfect overnight stop on our way home and we found it! Thank you, Fam. Fehrenbacher, until next year!
