Alpenblick

"This quintessential Swiss inn makes for a seriously appealing culinary experience. It is all down to Richard and Yvonne Stöckli, who have been putting their heart and soul into this long-standing establishment since 1980. Friendly and efficient, she heads up the service team in the charming little dining room (judicious wine recommendations from a great selection), while he showcases his skills in the kitchen, conjuring up dishes distinguished by their craftsmanship, quality ingredients and punchy flavours. His interesting modern and seasonal set menu comprises four to seven courses. Delightful garden terrace – ask for one of the seats beneath the old plane tree. Tip: Cheese lovers should try the Nessleren Alpine cheese! The rustic bistro and pretty guestrooms complete this charming picture." - Michelin Inspector

We stayed at the neat hotel for two nights, the room was great, the beds were clean and tidy. The breakfast was great ...in a nice dinning room. The down side included...the inconvenience of the shared bathroom and the location of the hotel - we got what we paid for :( . great surroundings though!

We stayed at the Alpenblick with a group travelling with Great Rail Journeys and were there for six nights. Our room, at the front of the hotel on the second floor, was bright, pleasanty, clean and ample size. From the balcony we could clearly see the Eiger, Munch and Jungfrau. The food was excellent throughout our stay. There was a good choice for breakfast and we really enjoyed the variety of evening meals provided. The hotel is located towards the top of the village up a gentle slope. We quite enjoyed the stroll to and from the train station at the bottom of the road. However, there is a bus every 30 minutes which stops close to the hotel for those who are not quite so agile, or weary after a full day out. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting the region.

We stayed at this charming Hotel as part of a Great Rail group. It is in an ideal location with the local rail station a 10 minute or so walk from the hotel, from where you can easily travel to endless amazing locations and cable car experiences.|The main hotel is a typical Swiss chalet and I understand it is over 400 years old.|The rooms and beds are comfortable and spotlessly clean together with an endless supply of wine and beer with our evening meals.|I noticed a recent review was rather scathing of this hotel, we have stayed here on several occasions and have never had cause for complaint. Their description bears no resemblance whatsoever to any of our experiences.

Stayed 4 nights in June 2025. The hotel is full of Swiss chalet charm, with cozy rooms and stunning mountain views. Breakfast was great, and both restaurants—especially the gourmet one—served fantastic local dishes. It’s a peaceful village location, about 10 minutes from the train station. Easy access to Interlaken and nearby hikes. Staff were kind and helpful. Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony for the full alpine vibe!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alpenblick. The spacious room we had in the chalet across the road from the main hotel building was quiet and relaxing. There was a small balcony with great views. The bed was comfortable, the duvets were so voluminous, you could almost drown in them! The bathroom was immaculately clean and the water pressure in the shower was good.|The warm bread and homemade jam for breakfast was amazing - there was also a brilliant selection of cheese and other breakfast items we didn't have the capacity to sample. |The location of the hotel is ideal to visit the surrounding attractions being only a few minutes walk to Wilderswil train station as well as on a bus route.|We would happily visit the hotel again and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Lovely family type hotel that felt like home. Owner & staff are passionate in what they do. I felt the positive energy in the property which includes a well loved & cared for garden. Photo taken with 4th generation owner Fabian. The hotel has historical significance.

This hotel was much better than expected and I would recommend it to anyone who travels to Interlaken. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. There was plenty of parking, our room was newly renovated and the bathroom was large and clean. Everything was perfect and the town was so beautiful that I felt like I had walked into a fairy tale.

Lovely room in the lodge over the road from the main hotel, 5 course meal in the evening ,small portions but with 5 courses no one went hungry. Glasses were kept topped up with wine, beer & soft drinks, all free of charge. Views & walks from the hotel were wonderful. Bags were collected & dropped off at the station. A wonderful holiday.

Yelp
While incompletely respect the employee's perspective, this review is from a guest's point of view as compared to the other review I see on here. Our stay at Hotel Alpenblick was nice. Front desk staff was very delightful upon check in and continued to be helpful throughout our stay. We were given passes for the bus which got us into Interlachen conveniently and runs once an hour. The small separation in Wilderswil was just enough to stay away from the throngs of Chinese and Arab tourists. The hotel can be a little warm during a heatwave because it is a 400-year-old building and there is no air-conditioning. But opening the windows provided some relief from the heat. We were treated to a personal fireworks display on the Swiss national holiday and a concert in the town square on August 2. Overall a nice day and would recommend it to fellow travelers.
