Hotel-Restaurant Hirsch

Clean rooms and good showers - the inescapable European toilet design not withstanding - but the corridors and the lobby frequently smelled of smoke and the front door is locked at random in the middle of the day, with no signage or indication or anything that you need to go around the back to find a door that will open for your room key. The hotel theoretically has a parking lot, but don't show up too late or it may be entirely full, leaving you too prowl around this small town looking for a spot that isn't already full or somebody's front garden. It's extremely close to the interurban rail stop which is nice for getting into Strasbourg, but check the timetables in advance and plan accordingly as it sometimes only comes hourly and stops running fairly early at night. They have an excellent breakfast spread, other than the complete lack of labels on the meats and cheeses - being Germany it's probably safe to assume all pork.

Half an hour drive from Strasbourg, just across the river, on the German side, located in a picturesque village. A very good option for overpriced venues in one of the European Capitals. Clean rooms, spacious dining area with delicious food in the menu. Small parking place yet manageable. Danke!

My reference place when I come to Kehl for business. Either for lunch or dinner, I have always had a positive experience with the staff and the food. I haven't tried yet the rooms but I'm confident they are great too!

We were transferred to this hotel due to problems at our original hotel. Our original hotel was old, tired with very rude staff and awful food. |The Hirsch was opposite - the staff were extremely helpful and the room was excellent. We would be very happy to stay here again.

An excellent traditional hotel with a warm welcome. The inside wouldn't be out of place in an alpine setting.||A large restaurant with plenty of outside seating.||Our room was very large for a double.||The service was excellent.||Free parking opposite and available on the quiet street.

Very nice hotel. You feel you are in home. Very friendly and supportive staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. They also have restaurant. Morning breakfast is included. Don’t expect Smart TV here but you will have normal TV.

This is my third visit to the hotel. The rooms are large and clean and a good price. The breakfast is a little basic but with the COVID issues many hotels offer a similar standard. The staff are very helpful the hotel restaurant food is very good. One thing I must point out is the poor level of English TV channels, not even BBC world or CNN?

The first thing we really appreciated with this hotel is that we were traveling with two pets (including a bulldog) and not only they accepted them but for a very moderate price ! And the personal of the hotel were really nice with the pets and we really felt comfortable. For me, it was a significant plus to feel comfortable with pets, which is far to be always the case. ||Second, the overall price was really correct for the service. In particular, we really enjoyed the breakfast. Large choice, good products.||Finally, the hotel is in a very quiet and lovely place, the touristic side of Kehl.||Second, the breakfast was
