Hôtel Restaurant La Capitelle

Not the greatest experience. Beautiful building in an amazing little village, but there was strong cooking smell as soon as you stepped inside, even in the rooms. Which were dated and worn here and there, the sink was clogged, shower construction left the floor flooded, and the entrance door from inside was covered with untreated MDF. The dinner was below average, so the whole experience was highly frustrating especially considering the overall cost of this stay. Won't come back or recommend.

What an experience! After having huge bad luck with the car, these people were absolutely what we needed. We called at 7pm at night because we couldn't find anywhere to sleep after we still couldn't get a replacement car from the insurance company. The hotel's hostess was extremely quick to switch gears and made our experience unforgettable. From a low point to one of our finest experience ever in a hotel. All the staff were immensely helpful, from helping carry our luggage to the perfect welcome at the hotel itself. We enjoyed a blissful refreshment in our fine room and were immediately allowed to take a seat on their breathtaking terrace by the restaurant. The spot on the mountain overlooks a beautiful valley, a picturesque church and the beautiful mountains of De Ardesch. We were allowed to taste delicious champagne, fine wine from the region and an outstanding menu worked out to perfection. After a great dinner, we took a wonderful evening walk in this beautiful village and enjoyed a perfect night's sleep in their chilled, relaxing rooms. The icing on the cake was their wonderfully extensive breakfast with again plenty of local produce and their enduring generosity and hospitality. They called a taxi for our trip to the replacement car and helped us every step of the way. In short, an experience never to be forgotten. Hotel Capitelle is a wonderful hotel in a picturesque village. The room was very cozy and clean. Dinner was excellent and breakfast prepared with a lot of care and love for detail. Staff was very friendly and answered all of or needs with a smile. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Absolutely lovely. We spent one night at La Capitelle during our Ardeche discovery trip, and adored it. The room is simple but very welcoming and modern. The restaurant is charming and so is the family running the business. If you are around Mirmande, you should stop there for at least a meal. Don't forget to book - not many tables available ... and many guests!

La Capitelle is an easy drive from the autoroute. ||It is set at a perfect position in a beautiful village. ||The food and its presentation are outstanding. So is the service. The rooms are tastefully decorated and well equipped. Ludivine and Sylvain are excellent as chef and hosts and the whole ambiance about the hotel is very pleasant.

The staff were very good, and our room at the very top was clean and pleasant. The wooden shutters insured a good night's sleep. It was very windy so we had to keep the windows closed most of the time, and despite the heat our room was still comfortable. There were three separate areas with bedroom/deep bath, toilet, shower/washbasin. The only drawback was a smell of drains in the toilet.

Stopping overnight we experienced a very welcoming and comfortable stay in this village hotel. The views from the terrace are spectacular and enjoying drinks in the evening, followed by an excellent dinner (compliments to the chef) made this short visit very pleasurable. Breakfast the next morning was again presented with fresh local produce - a delight. The village too is interesting, being one of France's beaux village and worthy of a longer stay. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

We always stay overnight at La Capitelle on our journey from Calais to Uzés. Mirmande is a beautiful medieval village and the hotel is the best one. The rooms are pleasant and all have air conditioning, the restaurant on the terrace is very good and breakfast is excellent!
