Hôtel restaurant La Terrasse

Visited the restaurant La Terasse. Staff was very welcoming, to our dog, too ( offered her water). We had a great meal ( choose the menu- easy choice, good value for 45 Eur, too. Had a great view overlooking the river. Great choice for a good summer evening! ( also, it was not very busy on a weekday, mid June).

The culinary experience at La Terrasse’s restaurant was equally exceptional. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming, with staff who anticipated our every need while maintaining an effortless grace and a few well-needed French language lessons. The meal began with a scrumptious asparagus entrée, a masterpiece of fresh, vibrant flavors that showcased the region’s finest seasonal ingredients. The pork plat that followed was a revelation—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with rich, savory notes that lingered delightfully on the palate. Each dish was a testament to the chef’s skill and passion for elevating simple ingredients into extraordinary cuisine. The combination of La Terrasse’s superb service, the enchanting tower room, and the exquisite dining experience, all set against the backdrop of Meyronne’s peaceful village charm, made our stay truly magical. This is a destination that captures the heart and soul of French hospitality. We cannot wait to return to this haven of elegance and flavor.

What a lovely experience! I can highly recommend the food, the advice on wine (with no overselling - just genuine advice) and the great atmosphere.

Loved our stay at this beautiful old castle. Our room had a gorgeous view of the Dordogne River and countryside. Dinner and breakfast were delicious however we didn’t like the fact that the woman who served us dinner made us feel uncomfortable about not eating everything on our plate! With a 3 course dinner , this is certainly not surprising and no reflection on our enjoyment of the meal. |However despite this, I would highly recommend staying here.

Superb three days at La Terrasse. Everything from our discussions prior to booking through check-in was excellent. Our room 17 was very comfortable and in good order. The view over the river was very nice. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel which was very good. Thank you to all involved.

This is a great place to visit. The hosts are super helpful and friendly. We dined in one evening and the food was amazing. Views of the Dordogne river on the doorstep, or out of the window if you have the right room. The chateau is a bit quirky, as old buildings often are, in that there are two parts where rooms are accessed. One part has a conventional staircase and the other is via stone steps in a tower. There is parking outside of the hotel which is adjacent to the church and Mairie. A large square enables plenty of parking spaces. Well worth a visit.

The views from the outside dining area are exceptional. The building has fantastic architectural features with an authentic old world charm? The meals had artistic presentation and phenomenal flavours. Rooms were of adequate size. Our room overlooked the courtyard on one side. Overall great stay.
