La Terrasse

"Do not worry, the Beast of Gévaudan is no more! However, if you are as hungry as the wolf, this place is for you. The chef, Cyril Tardy, cooks a contemporary interpretation of cuisine du terroir using good, very fresh, locally sourced ingredients." - Michelin Inspector

A bit more than a budget hotel. Great, spacious, room, that overlooked the main street. Bathroom with a view (of your room) with toiletries! (but no shower curtain, but a nice deep tub) and a hair dryer. Room also had a mini fridge. -Perfect after a long day of walking. Demi pension meal was lovely, with a real chef's touch, perhaps a smidge fancy for those who have walked much of the day. Breakfast was fantastic (again that chef) with excellent variety. Well worth it.

I don't know how they do their hotel ratings in France, but the dining room feels like a four star establishment. We only had the set menu for half board, but it was well done. Others seemed to have more exotic meals. Looks like a very efficiently run hotel. Rooms a bit old fashioned but very comfortable. Good heating.

Basic hotel with restaurant. Very friendly staff, but rooms and bathrooms are quite small. Evening meal was also very plain, but well presented. We were told there are few choices in the area, so were booked into this hotel. It met our needs, but was not memorable.

Stayed here for one night on the Chemin Saint Jacques. Helpful staff in all areas of the hotel. Warm welcome, room was adequate. Only downside was street noise, but to be fair we didn't close the windows!

This is a very nice two star hotel, slightly old fashioned in the best sense of the word - in that it it's friendly, civilised and offers a traditional French welcome to travellers. We stayed on the demi pension for two nights. The first night we had soup - a chicken dish - the fish alternative also looked very nice - excellent local cheese from a trolley and then a desert. The following day we thought we'd get the same but the proprietor asked if we'd rather have a piece of beef. That usually has a specific meaning in France but turned out to be two superb fillet stakes - just delicious. Breakfasts were also good being a buffet style with pasties bread etc but also pancakes, smoked salmon etc. Our room was pleasant too. Very friendly staff. Altogether a most pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful two days in this hotel while walking Le Chemin St-Jacques. The owner, Denis was extremely helpful and accommodating of vegetarian dietary requirements. The cheese trolley in his dining room is to die for, and he sources local produce, preferably organic. The breakfasts were very generous, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable.

A very nice well located hotel whilst walking Le Chemin de Compostelle. Excellent evening meal and breakfast, superb quality. Friendly staff and a good bar available. A lovely terrace to sit outside and see people go by. Special organic beers available.
