Le Landemer

"This fine stone house with a schist roof has an undeniable charm. Inside, a youthful, sociable Dutch chef cooks up dishes that cater to the modern palate, soaked in creative flair and with a focus on local produce, notably fish, vegetables, wild herbs and flowers. Precise and confidently prepared. Lovely guestrooms with a sea view." - Michelin Inspector

Stayed for two nights. It is a nice simple place by the sea with beautiful views. We had booked in advance a dinner at it’s restaurant and it was truly memorable. Superb dining with beautiful views!

Google
a great location, very nice rooms directly on the sea, and an excellent restaurant, the menu of the restaurant was worth a review by Michelin ;-)

Google
An amazing view and beautifully appointed rooms, but we came for food and were not disappointed. Easily comparable to Michelin-starred restaurants. I would say deserts were not quite as amazing as the rest of the meal - is there a pastry chef? - but not enough to detract from the five star rating

We stayed in this hotel 34 years ago, as a young engaged couple. The hotel now has other owners but it was nice to find the same kindness that welcomed us in 1989. This time we didn't stay or have lunch but they found us a taxi and offered to wait for it in the outdoor area, also providing us with water free. A piece of our heart will always remain in this corner of Normandy and within the ancient walls of this hotel.

From Laurent's first warm greeting, we were treated kindly and considerately. The staff is terrific. We loved seeing that wild part of Normandy, being in that quiet place of beauty at your pleasant, understated hotel. Our room was comfortable. We wish the shower was more self-contained so water stayed in it. The food is interesting and a delight. Overall, you offer a wonderful respite in a stunning location. Merci beaucoup!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Le Landemer. The views from the hotel were spectacular and we enjoyed the laid back feeling of the area. Dinner was lovely with so few tables looking out at the water. Breakfast was amazing. This property is a hidden gem. We are so glad that we were able to spend two days enjoying the area.

In an excellent location with stunning views of the sea and with access to beautiful coastal walks, this charming hotel is very well managed and very welcoming. We enjoyed a "degustation" dinner that was memorable for its fine cuisine.

Location marvellous and fabulous views from dining room. Room spacious and clean - only slight criticism being that the shower could be more powerful. Food delicious and beautifully prepared with a good service. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
What an awesome place facing the Atlantic Ocean. It's located in the hotel lobby, only couple seats available, reservation is necessary since it's popular and Michelin guide restaurant. The lunch set menu you can choose from 6 course menu or 3 courses menu. There are not a lot to choose from from the menu only two in each course but all of them looks really good. We are table of 3 and we get to try most of the menu. They brought out free a small plate of 3 samples appetizer while we were waiting: including quail egg, mesh-mellow with nuts , sausage, then a second free second appetizer crab soup. Those offered for free before our order. I started my meal with smoked salmon, followed by a white fish dish, and a milk chocolate dessert. And I got to try the roasted pork belly which was my favorite. Service was excellent, space was tiny so even it's a full house we still got our great service

Yelp
The hotel is fantastic, rooms are small but the view is fantastic and there's a path allowing you to walk down by the water. Service was great, and breakfast was surprisingly worth the 15.5 Euros per person - very good. Dinner unfortunately was average at best, and with this location you're pretty much stuck on site for dinner unless you want to drive home after dark on the small, windy roads potentially after wine. If you're really into food, I would unfortunately have to advise eating elsewhere after overcooked langoustines & fish and uninspired vegetables, plating, etc. The wine list is small but very well chosen however. Overall the location is so amazing that I would consider staying here again but book early so you can get the end room with a deck and 90 degree view of the water plus a window on the side you can open to hear the waves all night. I'll have to figure out better dinner options though.
