Sterenn

"This pleasant restaurant perched on the Pointe de Penmarch serves cuisine that is rooted in the local area and made using top-notch ingredients. The chef puts a lot of effort into meticulously plating his dishes, particularly when it comes to the fish. For dessert, it's all about tradition and savoir-faire, eg the buttery kouign amann, served warm, is nicely caramelised, and soft and crispy at the same time. Lovely views over the bay and Eckmühl Lighthouse." - Michelin Inspector

Lovely hotel, on the seafront, with a fabulous view. I had a room on the second floor with no lift. Hotel recently renovated with a nice bathroom, pillows quite hard, but room comfortable. No kettle in the room, but I loved the fantastic view and lovely sunsets on the sea from my window. Very good breakfast, very fresh with lots of choices. Good restaurant. Staff professional and very helpful. I forgot a jacket in the room and they sent it back to me in London. |A great hotel in a great location.

After several meals here over the years, our last was the best. Superb cuisine. The best view of the sea of any pays bigouden restaurant. Beautifully redecorated dining room. Servers are fine but could be a bit more cheery.

What a view from rooms looking out to sea; great to hear the sound of surf all night.|Comfortable bed, and bathroom good.|Excellent dinner in the restaurant, though limited choices. Dishes tend to be quite rich.|Dining room overlooks the sea,....beautiful. God car parking.

It was our worst restaurant experience in France. Although the food was good, it was a very uncomfortable place to be — the waitress was cold, almost hostile. We wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Great food and good value at 35 EUR for the Dulse menu (appetizer/main/dessert). Friendly and relaxed service. Featured in Michelin’s 2023 guide, which is well deserved. The sea view is wonderful as well. Tip: after dinner, go for a walk by the coast and watch big waves crash on the rocks.

Stayed one night in this hotel by chance when my flight was cancelled. Great find, right on the sea. View from our room was spectacular. The room wasn't huge, but it was certainly adequate and very comfortable. Bathroom was very modern. Hotel staff was especially friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent- clearly a serious chef at work. The dining room faces the sea and there are some tables outside on the terrace. The breakfast buffet was also of a high standard. Would definitely come back. (There's no elevator, but staff helped to take up our luggage).

Well, what can I say? We turned up a day late – all my fault, but were greeted with great friendliness by Madame and her staff. We were given a fabulous room with views of the sea to die for. The rooms are immaculate but don’t expect tea making facilities! This is a top class “French” hotel.||The situation is quite unbelievable – we were there in cloudless blue skies and a howling gale but the views from our room and the rest of the hotel are quite staggering whatever the weather.||The food is probably the best we have eaten in France and we have been to a LOT of places. So fresh is the seafood that it almost jumps off the plate, all served with wonderful quiet efficiency by the hosts – they are too nice to called just staff. We just loved the place. We went in a 50 year old Lotus Elan made of plastic so sea air does not worry it but if you have an old Jaguar park it somewhere else or it could be a pile of rust by morning so close is the sea!||We will go back as it is a truly wonderful place to stay – top marks all round.

We paid a bit extra for a sea-view balcony room and it was worth every penny. To go to sleep to the flashing light of the nearby lighthouse and then to wake up in the morning and watch the fishing boats coming back into the harbor was priceless. Rooms were clean and functional and this was one of the few hotels where the WiFi worked flawlessly. Helpful staff and ample parking.
