Les Caudalies

"At the helm of this stylish bourgeois establishment is an inspired sommelier, Best Craftsman of France, Philippe Troussard. His immense talent and the sheer scope of his wine list (over 1,000 references) raise the concept of food-wine pairing to an art form. The well-crafted recipes are the work of a skilful chef. The terrace enjoys a sweeping view of the grounds, the River Cuisance and the legendary Arbois vineyards." - Michelin Inspector

My wife and I stayed two most enjoyable nights here. Hotel is nicely located on the edge of the town and a great location for exploring the local vineyards and the Jura mountains. Bedroom was clean, comfortable and well appointed, Staff were all helpful and very professional. We dined in the pleasant dining room both nights and the food was superb, as was the service, especially the excellent sommelier. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation, it is a well managed and correctly priced establishment

Wonderful lunch experience! We were two couples driving to Arbois for some winery tasting. At the last minute decided to have some lunch. It was Ascension Day and we just showed up. The staff was wonderful, helpful and found us a great table with a great view on the garden.||Very nice restaurant. The price is REALLY low compared to the quality of the food, the service and the restaurant’s atmosphere and look.||We had a stunning Gastronomic lunch for 45 euros.||Incredible cheese « chariot », over 25 different sorts!||We took the 26 euros wine tasting option on top of that (one glass per course) since the sommelier was one of the best « ouvrier de France ». Great choice! The whole experience was just top of the art!||Thumbs up !!!

We have booked 2 rooms on the way to vacation in the South of France. Arrived around 17:30 and got our rooms. The hotel is situated in a very nice area with a nice garden and in the backyard the river was floating. The rooms are nice and well equipped - but also in the High end - Price wise. What is a pit negative is that on arrival we were asked if we already made a reservation in the restaurant - as they were fully booked. Personally I don't think it is ok, that the restaurant doesn't have capacity for all guests.|The breakfast buffet was very good with all you can expect for breakfast in France. |Despite I had a fixed Price for room including breakfast - I had to pay additional for breakfast. If this breakfast issue and the fully booked restaurant wasn't part of our experience - I would have rated it 4 - but having this in mind it has to be a 3.

We got a very warm welcome when we arrived at this charming hotel and enjoyed staying in our quiet superior room at the back of the main house with a partial view over the vineyards across a flat stone covered roof. Excellent breakfast. We ate a good 5 course dinner in the hotel one evening and really liked the optional wine package which was explained with knowledge and enthusiasm by the award winning sommelier. The hotel garden is a real asset in fine weather. About 8 min walk into the centre of town (a bit longer but calmer if you take the riverside walk on the right just before the bridge) and very close to Maison Pasteur and the rustic but enjoyable Taverne La Finette

Always have a good time over there. This is my go to when I am coming back in this region. The best food and wines you can taste in the country. I strongly recommend this place. Thanks

The restaurant hosted by MOF sommelier M. Troussard is simply perfect. No fancy dishes, just genuine, local saveurs. And wow, what a pairing with its great collection of Jurassien wine!

We stayed at this hotel in April, and had dinner there last Wednesday, August 16th. Dinner was delicious- local seasonal ingrediants. Sommelier, a meilleur ouvrier de France, chose original local wines that were superb, reasonnably priced and which went perfectly with the food. This is a great address.

Arrived on a Monday for a full weeks stay. Restaurant is closed Monday/Tuesday so front door and reception close at 7:30pm. You can still leave and enter through a side tower.|The room was very nice, comfortable bed, well cleaned every day.|It was warm in the room, but no airco at this time of year.|Breakfast variety small, but ok for me.|The restaurant is very good, but upscale and pricey. The sitting is medium to long. If you don't reserve you can only order a la carte, or so I understood.|Sidenote: not a single restaurant in the town opens before 7:30pm.|Overall i had an comfortable stay and would recommend.
