Mamma - Les Roches Brunes

"Clinging to a rocky outcrop, Les Roches Brunes is a feast for the eyes: the hotel overlooks the sea and offers a breathtaking view of the Château royal de Collioure opposite. In the restaurant, chef Antoine Cormoretto rustles up a mouth-watering menu that brilliantly combines Italian and local produce. A bohemian-chic atmosphere set to jazzy music. A truly relaxing interlude!" - Michelin Inspector

Les Roches Brunes (Collioure, Occitanie) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Overlooking the Baie de Collioure, in between Perpignan and the Spanish border, a spectacular little hotel hides in plain sight; Les Roches Brunes clings to the rocky hillside, enveloped in gardens and greenery. Its 15 rooms and three suites have been thoroughly re-imagined by its current owners, decked out in calming neutral colors and a style that’s both minimalist and warm. Terraces tumble down to the brown rocks at the water’s edge that gave the hotel its name; the hotel’s restaurant, meanwhile, is an attraction in its own right, serving Italian-accented fare accompanied by natural wines." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed here on a 9 day swing through Spanish and French Catalonia. What an excellent spot.||We had a suite on the top floor and at times had to kick ourselves out of the room (could sit on the balcony and stare at the sea all day) and explore the town. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. Zero complaints.||We had supper at Mamma as well the first night - a great meal. As was the breakfast each morning.||Highly recommend.

Absolutely breathtaking view—the highlight of my stay. Overlooking the sea and the harbor, it’s simply stunning and makes the whole experience unforgettable. The restaurant was also excellent—great cuisine, beautifully presented dishes, and a lovely atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience. The rooms were simple and comfortable—nothing remarkable, but functional and clean. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend, especially for the views and the restaurant!

Very good welcome and friendly staff. We had a great room with a large balcony on the sea. Very modern and clean and remarkably quiet for a hotel in a busy location. ||We ate twice in the restaurant which was good and the breakfast was good as well||Will return!

Collioure is wonderful village offering great swimming from the beaches, wonderful views and excellent shops and restaurants.|zit really does meet all our requirements for a mediterranean holiday.|Hotel Les Roches Brunes is the jewel in the crown. Perched on a cliff with fabulous views of the town and harbour of Collioure.|It does have its own access to swimming in the sea though perhaps a little challenging for some .|The walk to the town for shops, restaurants etc is a pleasant 10 minute stroll

The room was very basic. Small room, small bed and basic assistance at reception. Parking is very cramped and limited with no prior code for access supplied on arrival, we had to call the hotel for an access code on arrival. No coffee machine not even instant coffee on offer in the room. Kettle with 2 tea bags in a cup was put on the dresser table. The dresser table has no mirror just a window to look into the bathroom. The rooms are not sound proof and the hotel is very busy. We stayed in room 1 with a Terrasse that would be the only nice feature of this room. The view from the terrasse.

I loved this hotel! Impeccable service, wonderful taste in space design, and very delicious & unique dishes served by the restaurant on premises. Fantastic stay with fantastic views. It is my most beloved hotel during the entire year of travelling. Truly a gem!

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff! We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed the view. The front desk staff was so helpful and inviting. Great location to walk into town and far enough away to feel secluded. We had an end room which allowed for some extra space. Would highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights here and had a nice room with a balcony to the sea. Nice view and you can hear the waves at night when leaving the windows open. The room showed some minor usage here and there but was perfectly clean and service was good. Staff was friendly and the restaurant is overlooking the harbour. You can easily walk into town in about 10-15 minutes. They have parking but it's a bit of a squeeze, especially for larger cars (e.g. SUVs). They have their own access to the sea via some stairs, but no beach - you can swim tough and then relax on one of the terraces. The room fridge had free drinks and was refilled while we stayed, and there is a boiler and a capsule coffee machine. The food and wine was great, the breakfast was good - but two parts really need improvement: 1. the tea was undrinkable, because the hot water coming from the coffee machine uses tap water which is distinctly chlorinated. 2. coffee - which was available in two kinds of beans - one was ok, the other not so much. To be fair, I am a tea drinker and the tap water in my home town is excellent - and I have experienced disappointing tea and coffee in many high-class hotels. Still, it surprises me even more in a region and country that prides itself so much on the taste of it's food and wine (which both is great) - I can't explain it. Dear hotel management: if you read this - buy some better quality tea (not in these synthetic bags), get some coffee expert barista to configure your machine to the beans, and most importantly use filtered water for the machine. The drinking water in the bottles (both still and sparkling) for lunch and dinner was ok, and thankfully that was also provided in the rooms. Please do the same for breakfast tea+coffee. Internet / Wifi was also a bit of a challenge, my iPhone constantly had to reconnect and I had to re-enter the password every time, and when connected it was a bit slow. Decent internet should be standard.
