Million

"A family - run establishment that cultivates tradition, both in its restaurant, where the classics are served, and in the nicely old - fashioned guestrooms." - Michelin Inspector

A traditional hotel which fits in well with Albertville. Su-Chen is an excellent hostess and chef Jose is a wizard with food. Highly recommend

Went there for lunch on a Sunday and had a great culinary experience. It was a slow day for them and we had the chance to exchange at length with both owners and the waiter. The food was amazing - by far the best cuisine of our trip so far. Each dish was delicious, with an exquisite presentation. We also had the chance to meet some local customers who gave us multiple recommendations on what to visit in the region. Overall, it was a welcoming atmosphere and we recommend this venue.

The manager Sue yen (I hope I've that right) and her team manage effectively and with a rare friendliness. The room was truly grand. Tall ceilings, separate toilet, large windows with effective shutters. Considered decor. Plenty of room for my morning yoga.🙏 Very quiet. A comfortable large bed. And the breakfast was filling and hot. No wonder professional cyclists choose to stay here when racing. They looked after my bicycle very securely. All for a very reasonable price. A 5 étoile experience.

We stayed for six nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is very charming with antique furniture giving it a warm and comfortable feeling, not at all corporate or chain atmosphere. The owners Su-Chen and Jose were very welcoming and hospitable as was Guillaume the manager. We had dinner in the restaurant on two nights and both times it was excellent.

We had a lovely dinner at the hotel while in town. The food was excellent and each item carefully prepared. The service was first rate and accommodating to the needs of our friend's young child. The cheese trolley was interesting with a variety of cheeses, most of which were from the local area. Although the price was on the higher side, it was most definitely worth the treat.

Million is one of our favourite hotels so we had a bit of difficulty understanding some of the negative reviews. Is it mismatched expectations? So here is why we like it:||Right in the centre of Albertville, but with own parking, it has all the atmosphere of a 240 year old hotel. ||France is full of good quality, cheap one night stop hotels, which we often use. So what brings us back to the Hotel Million? It is expensive, but we think it is value. The rooms are a good size, simply furnished with a large bed and modern bath/shower room. Breakfast is a traditional, simple French breakfast.||But is not the rooms or breakfast that bring us back. To get value from this hotel, you need to relax in the beautiful lounge over a drink or cup of tea, surrounded by wonderful paintings and ornaments, and then sample the Michelin quality food and service in the restaurant. For us it has become an unmissable treat on our visits to the Alps.

My wife and l stayed here for one night (Friday) as a stop over on our way to les Arcs the following day.||The hotel is set in the middle of town in a very quiet area, parking is easy. Front desk service was excellent, the rooms clean and the beds comfortable. The decor was that of an old wealthy 'Victorian' household.||If you want eat here then it is best to book as the restaurant has a Michelin*||This is a lovely place to stay!

We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the years. The last three times, we seem to have been in the same tradition room, i think that they are called, when going skiing. The hotel is welcoming, the room comfortable, Su-Chen is very nice, the waiters are excellent and food very good. In some ways, I would give it a 5 rating. What detracts is the price. The menu we chose for dinner had very expensive ingredients, but on the other hand was nearly the same price as the two Michelin starred Bateau Ivre near Chambery; there is no comparison in the experience. Similarly, although room prices now include breakfast, a bit of updating is overdue and the first floor smelled a bit musty.||It is comfortable with good service and food, but I think rather over priced for what you get.
