"Rebstock offers comfortable, country-style dining rooms, attentive service and good regional fare including snail soup, pike dumplings and venison ragout. In summer the idyllic terrace offers views of the surrounding parkland and the Black Forest, while another attraction is the large selection of home-made cakes and pastries." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing place. Once you enter the building you can see and feel the history of it. At the same time it´s maintaned very well and kept up to date. So you won´t miss any luxury. You will also find a lot of friedly and helpful staff which fits to the familiar taste of the setup. The garden and welnness area are also absolutely staggering. Evrything is maintaned so well and fiits perfectly. There are a lot of small places to discover and enjoy. e.g. there is a play place for children below the stairs.|The restaurant is also a place you have to go. They serve tradiditnal dishes in a modern way. The waiters and cooks know theri job. Enjoy

We fell in love with this place. Its nestled amongst the vineyards in one of the most beautiful places in Germany. Great place to hike amongst the vineyards. The breakfast was amazing! The grounds are constructed in a whimsical fashion and never fail to deliver on oohs and ahhs... really fun and relaxing. I spent an afternoon just chilling by the pond and thought I was achieving nirvana. LOVE this place!!!

To start with a positive, the quality of materials used in the hotel room were good but hot summer weather revealed the absence of air conditioning as a major flaw. The evening meal was very good but the service was generally deficient and the kitchen bizarrely closed at 9pm and so evenings were somewhat truncated. This seemed to be more in line with local demands rather than hotel guests and there was difficulty in booking a table in the first place. We were told on more than one occasion (having given more than 24 hours notice) that the restaurant was full and it was only when we reminded the staff that we were hotel guests that we were offered a table. Unfortunately, local people seem to enjoy a preference for the main restaurant and hotel guests were placed in an overflow room which was used for breakfast. Last Wednesday evening (30/08), there was a total of four tables used and of course no ambience or atmosphere whatsoever. No apology was offered for this and so we cancelled the follow evening’s reservation. In general hotel staff were disinterested in us and apart from 1 staff member (Sandra Schmidt) we were largely ignored and usually waited a long time to order a drink or anything else we wanted. When the weather is fine it is possible to sit on the terrace but at other times the lack of a lounge or small bar means there is no place to socialise and order the occasional drink; again the focus seems to be on local needs rather than hotel guests. ||||Clearly this hotel began life as a restaurant with a few rooms above for visitors. Additional hotel rooms have been added in high quality buildings but the facilities and culture to match are lacking. The hotel needs a bar area and needs to consider how to include guests and locals so that guests are not shunted away in the breakfast area. The need for air conditioning for the hot weather is something we would recommend.

Great hotel, situated in a very quiet area, surrounded by nature.||||Staff goes the extra mile, which is quite unusual for German hotels. The hotel's gardens are well maintained too.||||We had lunch at the restaurant once and can also fully recommend it. Good breakfast buffet selection too.||||Couple other points worth noting though, which would have made me give it 5 stars:||||- They do not take Amex cards for payment (not for the restaurant or hotel stay bills);||- Surprisingly, they do not have any iron/iron boards guests can borrow. This is quite unusual to be honest;||- The rooms are well equipped toiletries-wise (e.g., slippers, etc) but some basics were missing (hair conditioner). My wife noted this.||- During the time of our stay (May 2021), there were some construction works in the back of the building near the gardens. Whilst these were intermittent, one could sometimes hear the not so pleasant construction works sound.||-Also, there is no elevator, which may be an issue for some.||||All in all however, fully recommended, especially if you can get a good deal.

We have stayed a total of three times here.||Charming area with amazing white wines. Close to Offenburg and Strasbourg. Excellent restaurants in the area.||Very clean. Nice rooms with interesting and very individual ambience. Spa area with sauna (clothing optional - it is Europe and not North America). Excellent included breakfast in a room with intricate woodwork. Very large variety of choices. We have not tried their restaurant. Lights in hallways are on sensors (With LED these days maybe overkill?). Beautiful walks in the area, even directly from the hotel. Amazing grounds, park-like, with water features.||We will be back.

A wonderful place for a romantic getaway (we took the 'Romantic Package', with afternoon cakes, truly fantastic dinners, and generous breakfasts). Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, and if the service was a little slow on the first evening that was probably just as well, with the quantity of food and drink being served! Beautifully maintained property with wonderful gardens. We will be back.
