"This family business has been going for three generations. The dishes served in this chic, modern restaurant are made with preference for regional produce and sing with freshness and flavour. For a bistro alternative, Karl Benz Stube has a short menu featuring traditional Swabian fare. There are also suitable spaces for special occasions available and practical guestrooms with contemporary decor. Tip: the "Kultur & Genuss" events." - Michelin Inspector

The staff is super kind and welcoming, both to us and to our dog. We were booking the room in about 2 hours before arrival (right on the way on autobahn), and all confirmations and negotiations went well. Although, their parking was full, the staff kindly proposed me to place my car on their own parking spot, it was kind. Our room was on the attic, so we had not many neighbors around and the night was quiet and peaceful. It was a bit cold in the room, so we used the heater they provided in the room. We thought we will leave early morning to have breakfast somewhere else, but in the morning decided to try their breakfast. Fortunately, it was easy to negotiate at the reception, so we saved some time having quite a good breakfast at their restaurant. Cons: 1. A bit expensive (but it was a last minute reservation). 2. No parks around to walk the dog.

We stayed here on our way to Italy (family of5) when our car broke down on Saturday evening. The hotel was fantastic! Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful. It was easy to get to Stuttgart by bus and train, and we loved visiting the Mercedes Benz museum. Breakfast was great with lots of tasty options like fresh pastries and local cheeses. The dining area was bright, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was in a quiet area, perfect for relaxing after our busy days. We even enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant, trying some local dishes. Overall, despite the car trouble, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to come back next year!

Stayed here during travel. Parking is next to the hotel with alternative parking a bit further away.. Electrical vehicle charging is available(hotel parking) but is excitement slow Service is good, friendly staff. Room is relatively small but clean. We also had dinner which was good we sat outside and had the Curry and creme brulee. Recommended choice. The village is extremely small, not really a lot going on but for a one night stay this is good.

We stayed in the older part in the rear of the property known as "Haus Im Garten".||Despite its age and the brown carpets (they were fashionable once!), the room was good and the balcony refreshing to sit out on during a warm evening. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and functional. |The place at the back is an ideal low cost stop for families. Free parking and easily found and not too far from the Autobahn for those travelling through like we were.

I visited the area for training with my local company, which is headquartered in the vicinity. The property is a family-run combination hotel, restaurant, and bistro.||The bistro:|I was able to try a majority of foods (multiple meals) from the spring menu, which ranged from local Schwabian Deutsch entrees to other classic entrees. All items were expertly prepared with excellent flavor, friendly staff, and "welcoming" atmosphere.||The hotel:|My room featured a comfortable bed, work desk, tv, Nespresso coffee maker, sitting area with table and two chairs, and distant view of some of the Schwabian alps (on clear days). ||The breakfast: the breakfast was buffet-style, and included eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, local cheeses, brotchen, muesli, yogurt, and additional bakery items. It quickly became the highlight of my mornings.||The area: Köngen is a rolling hill town with excellent areas to walk. Near to the hotel is a small plaza with supermarket, kabob house, bakery, ice cream, pharmacy, bank, and other restaurants as well. ||Overall impressions: the staff was very welcoming. I had an issue where the airlines permanently lost my luggage. The entire team helped by suggestions, as well as proactively watching for my luggage to arrive. Overall: great!

I stay here every time I have business meetings near by. Staff is very friendly and polite. Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast had a good selection every time with lots of fruits and veggies, organic marmalade and good quality bread and cappuccino on the house. Ideal for a good start of the day! No air condition though, so it's quite warm when the weather is hot which probably doesn't happen that often. They didn't have mosquito killers to offer after request. But other than that I only can recommend this hotel. Quite, clean, tidy with good quality food! Best choice in town.

The renovated rooms are really comfy. Even though the hotel has only 3 stars, you feel like in a four or even 5 star hotel. Great service. Soft mattress. Very clean. Spacious bathroom. Breakfast has healthy varieties as well. Good internet connection. Parking right next to the hotel. Thank you for making my stay so easy.

Good access by car or public transportation. By train to Wendlingen, one can take a bus to the Rathaus in Köngen (neir the hotel) or without lugage a 20-25 minute fresh walk can do the job. Köngen is a small, quiet town. A small center hosts some shops, bakery, supermarket and several restaurants. Hotel room was clean and offered me a comfortable bed. Bathroom was small, but clean and not outdated. Internet (free) and TV was working properly. My room did not have a mini-bar to keep some drinks cool. Near the hotel is a supermarket, where one can get his needs from 8am to 8pm. A bank (ATM) is also around the corner. Breakfast in the hotel is good at a fair price. Alternative, one can find bakeries close by. I did visit the bistro several times, where very good food can be find at reasonable prices (smoking allowed). During summer times, the rooms might get a bit hot; there is no airco.
