Hotel-Restaurant Schwanen

The treasury in Metzingen, been here for 70 years, among the top 20 conference hotels in the "250 Best Conference Hotels" rankings. Now running by the 3rd generation, it equipped with a 4-star boutique hotel, a gourmet restaurant, and a trendy bar, all in one here at Metzingen. We came here to have dinner, I ordered their 70-year Schwanen menu, which includes Fladle Soup, Swabian Roast Beef with Onions, and ended with Apple Fritters as dessert. All three dishes are classic, especially the Apple Fritters, the apple was so fresh even after deep fried, and it totally goes with their sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Plan to come back to stay here when next time family is in town, looking forward to it!!!

We like to have brunch here every time when we visit metzingen outlets. Very friendly service people, fresh foods, comfortable and quiet atmosphere.

All hotel staff I came across were very friendly and helpful! The rooms are a bit old school, the beds are ok but the sheets and or duvet aren't my favourites. Also you can't adjust the temperature in the room and with the duvet sometimes was too warm and if you took it out too cold. Breakfast was very nice and overall I would gladly stay here again!

We stayed in this hotel and it’s not the first time. It’s simply great and the service is friendly and hospitality is great. The rooms are perfect and you feel very comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and were sitting in the terrasse. Very beautiful and the food was very good. Variety of choice and great wine card. Can only recommend when staying in Metzingen and enjoying the Outlet City.

I went to their restaurant and had a tartare steak. The meat is fresh and the spices in the tartare is very good, there is also a fancy looking egg yolk on top of the tartare. The texture is almost like meat paste with little to nothing to bite, this is good for people that like soft food. There are no weird smell at all on the tartare and it goes well with wine. Besides that I also ordered the creme brûlée and it is incredible, very sweet just how I like it. Lastly, service is good despite being busy and I went in without reservations.

We selected this Hotel as a "stopover" en route to Austria and because of the Outlet stores in Metzingen.|The first pleasant surprise was the friendly telephone support we received when we called-in a late arrival. |This was followed by an offer to reserve a table at their restaurant, which turned out to be a huge surprise. The meals were excellent and the service impeccable.|'The rooms were clean and comfortable.|Finally, the team was "tested" as our son had forgotten his bite plate (orthodontic) in the room. The room staff had retrieved and recorded it, and we were able to get it returned via DHL collection within days!|Our compliments to an excellent Team! We shall certainly recommend this hotel to all our friends and hope to return soon.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 5 years because of its location. My company has a corporate account with this hotel so we would expect a better pricing. However the opposite is the case despite the best price promise when you book directly. This however is minor compared to the poor attitude and rude behavior of some of the front desk staff. Customer care and assistance simply is not a priority. We stayed for two weeks and were asked to change rooms twice because of conflicting bookings. We finally decided to leave two days earlier because of this inconvenience and were charged a hefty cancellation fee. Parking is at a premium and front desk chases you away if you park in a non designated area also it is completely legal. The restaurant is average at best. The menu is boring and hasn’t changed much. Obviously business must be good as there is no effort to please the customer. One of the biggest issue is that you don’t know what room you get. Some have AC others don’t. Church bells ringing early mornings and street traffic are a nuisance and room service is a hit and miss. In the future I will avoid this hotel and have other visitors we host directed to better nearby hotels.

The restaurant is EXCELLENT ! I rarely still get impressed by restaurant food, but this place as a very pleasant surprise. great price/quality, great quality, friendly staff. Can fully recommend the tuna steak.

The hotel has a patio if the weather is nice. The Risotto was delicious but I forgot to take a photo. Service was good and staff was friendly.

Really good food, the service was great and the ambiance too. I especially liked the burgers that they have to offer.

If you come to visit the Outlet city this is a must to get traditional local food. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Menu is excellent, local and reasonable priced. There is a small patio so you can even sit outside. I highly recommend the Maultaschen which is a local dish.
