Highly recommend this hotel! Rooms, views, service, spa, breakfast, and location were all amazing. Our room was in the guest house and the views from the balcony (in picture) were stunning. We paid to include breakfast and it was so worth it - locally baked fresh bread, locally sourced cheeses, meats, juices, fruits, and a chef who makes omelettes for you. The hotel bar - Espresso Bar - was packed and fun every night. The hotel is within walking distance of ski/snowboard equipment rental shops, the train, and the lift to Grindelwald-First ski slopes (where you can also buy your lift pass), among others. Another fun bar, Avocado Bar, is two doors down. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the spa! The spa, which is included in the room price, had a traditional Finnish-style hot cedar sauna, a steam sauna, an Alpen-style warm sauna with heated seats, a meditation room, an ice drench walkthru shower station, and a BEAUTIFUL warm (not hot) infinity pool outside overlooking the mountains. You could also schedule and pay for massage services. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, especially for winter/ski trips.
