We visited the hotel with friends and had a very nice stay overall. The rooms are newly renovated, and the view is absolutely stunning. We chose this hotel specifically to relax and enjoy the spa and the pool. I had visited in the past as well, which is why I decided to come back, as my previous experience had been very positive. However, this time the pool area was full of children who were screaming and playing loudly. At one point, a woman was teaching her child how to swim in the pool, which is clearly part of the wellness area. The atmosphere was chaotic and far from relaxing. This is simply not a space meant for children. We were genuinely disappointed, as we couldn’t relax at all. For this reason, next time we wouldn’t choose this hotel for a relaxing wellness stay.

We stayed at Hotel Spinne and it completely blew us away. The views alone are worth the trip...stepping onto our balcony and seeing the Eiger right in front of us felt unreal, like a postcard come to life. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and comfortable, but what really set this place apart were the amenities and the people. The spa is next-level: sauna, steam room, relaxation spaces, and the infinity pool which is heated, outdoors, staring straight at the mountains. Floating in the pool while staring at the Eiger is something we’ll never forget. Every single staff member we interacted with was warm, helpful, and genuinely seemed to love working there. That kind of positive energy makes a huge difference and adds to the whole experience. The included breakfast was also phenomenal! We tried a couple restaurants in the area for dinner but nothing compared to the hotel's restaurant...my mouth is watering with the memory. Our waiter, Philipp, was awesome! If you’re considering staying in Grindelwald, stop considering the other 3 hotel choices in the area and book your stay at Hotel Spinne. Between the views, the spa, breakfast, restaurant and the hospitality, Hotel Spinne is pure magic. We will definitely be staying here each time we visit!

We loved our 6 night stay at the Hotel Spinne, the first week orf September. Great, friendly staff, nice breakfast and awesome outdoor dining. Our room had a nice balcony with a great view of the Eiger that we used every day to enjoy local wine and cheese, after each very full day of adventure. The location is great. 5 minutes from the train, a bus stop right outside the door a Migros market across the street and Grindelwald First a short walk. The warm outdoor infinity pool overlooking the mountains was fantastic. We highly recommend the Hotel Spinne and are looking forward to returning in the winter to enjoy some skiing.

A brilliant stay at hotel Spinne. The rooms are fantastic and the view from our balcony was stunning. The infinity pool as other guests have mentioned really makes the hotel stand out as exceptional alongside their excellent spa facilities. Very good breakfast and all staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Grindelwald.

Hotel Spinne was perfect for our stay. The rooms were well sized and had everything we needed. The location was very central, easy walk to the train station and the bus station was across the street. The breakfast was amazing! Many options, homemade omelets and served early every morning. The spa was very nice, clean and well kept. The star of the show was the infinity pool with a view of the Eiger, just wow! We will definitely be staying again!

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Spinne in Grindelwald. Special thanks to Zuzana and the team for their prompt and helpful communication—even through the Booking.com messaging platform. Since I wasn’t using international messaging or phone services, their quick replies made everything smooth and stress-free. Compared to other hotels that often take 24–48 hours to respond, Hotel Spinne stood out with their efficiency and care. Highly appreciated!

Very very good hotel. The infinity pool looking out to the mountains was a particular highlight. The breakfast was lovely and the options perfect for a full day of hiking. We could have such a big breakfast that we often could skip lunch which was obviously a nice saver. All the staff where lovely and couldn't be nicer and more helpful. We went to the attached restaurant one evening and the food was very nice. It's perfectly located within the middle of Grindlewald and allowed us to do multiple hikes but travel to nearby areas too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area

The views of the Eiger can't be beat from the hotel rooms. It could use a renovation as the rooms, furniture, and bathrooms look dated. But, the service was exceptional. People working there are very friendly. Great breakfast with an omelette station. Very short walk to the Grindelwald train station and Grindelwald First.

Yelp
Wow what a gem! We were in Grindelwald after a long day of hiking and in the mood for some pizza. We noticed the terrace of this hotel restaurant overlooking the mountains and walked up and scored tables outside. We ordered a salad and a meat based pizza. The salad was fresh and refreshing. The pizza was excellent on the level of pizzas we had on our 10 day travel through Italy. Service was very friendly. Will try to stay at this hotel in the future.

Yelp
Amazing unassuming place in the hotel- we've been to Grindelwald 6 times now from the US and had never tried this hotels restaurant before this week!! What a great place- great service and terrific food. We had the pasta bolognese and a spicy salami and olive pizza with a house salad and house dressing. Also a great Portuguese wine by the glass. The prices are very reasonable for the area with extremely generous portions. We loved the cozy vibe of the seating near the street and the chef making the pizzas and sauces right there- we will definitely be back on our next trip!

Yelp
Loved the Mercado and Bistro at Hotel Spinne for Italian! We were very lucky because they had an opening around 7pm on a Saturday... but I'd definitely recommend making a reservation because all of the tables were full by the time we left. Very nice atmosphere and all the tables are far apart which is nice because it keeps the room quiet and open. My friends all got different pizzas and loved them... I ordered the spaghetti bolognese and was a big fan! Portion was huge, so come hungry. Afterwards we ordered some ice cream which was also phenomenal. The prices were super reasonable especially for how big the portions were and how good the food was. Our waiter was very nice and was able to answer all of our questions about town and so. A great spot for dinner in Grindelwald.

Yelp
We were passing through and wanted lunch. The woman at the entrance counter said to sit at the table, and we could have drinks until lunch (about 45 minutes). The waiter, however, immediately stopped us, directed us to the lounge area. That is of course fine. We ordered still water, and he brought us sparkling. I ordered a cafe with grappa, but he brought me a cafe with amaretto. It was still delicious. Honestly we wanted to try the food, but we just left. The waiter was more or less indifferent, a little curt. It actually seems normal for the Swiss. We had to find him to get our check. Sad we didn't have the dining experience we wanted. We went instead to Lauterbrunnen which, to me, is more beautiful. There were little to no businesses or shops open (late March), but the views are incredible.

Yelp
awesome location, awesome views, awesome buffet. The room is cozy, clean, and traditional style. We lucked out and had a little balcony facing the alps and city view. It was majestic. The buffet was plentiful and offered lots of room to sit and look at the amazing scenery. One final plus is they have parking across the street in another parking lot. I think it was only a few euros more, 5? 10? much less than what hotels charge in the city at least.

Yelp
Hotel Spinne is the hotel you want to stay at in Grindelwald. ROOM It feels like you're staying at the most welcoming but at the same time luxurious cabin in the middle of Switzerland. Our room on the first floor had just the most jaw-dropping front and center view of the Eiger mountains. You just can't beat the feeling of being able to walk out to the balcony and your backyard is the snow-covered Swiss mountain ridge. Being able to go out and sit on the wooden chairs and using the table made of a tree ring is the kind of rustic and quaint comfort you want while being able to soak in all of the natural beauty you're afforded. Inside you'll have a comfortable and plush bed in a very spacious room with all wooden furniture. The decor should be in an interior design magazine because it is log cabin chic. The restroom is modern and This is the kind of stay that embodies a full experience in Switzerland. SPA As far as amenities goes, Hotel Spinne is first class. You won't believe how nice their spa area is and access to the spa is included. It is a modern and vibrantly lit spa on par with many spa/lounges in Los Angeles. What is truly impressive is just how many features the spa includes. There's a eucalyptus steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and another sauna that burns cardamom and a combination of herbs. The coolest (pun intended) part is the ice bath pathway. You get to walk through a block of ice! Then a shower of icy water finishes off the experience. It is invigorating and great when you've spent the entire day hiking and need to cure those aches. When you need to hydrate there is fully stocked herbal/floral teas and water pitchers ready. It was the ultimate relaxation experience and a haven for tranquility. SERVICE The concierge is tremendous and want nothing but the best for your stay. They give you everything you need upon check-in so that everything is comfortable. They provided us with a number of adapters for our electronic devices, were thorough with housekeeping, and were honest! We left euros on our nightstand and it was right where we left it. Fantastic service all around. BREAKFAST The breakfast is easily one of the best breakfast offerings I've had. It is set in a beautiful and regal dining area. You could easily spend hours leisurely enjoying all the top-notch food. You'll find fresh bread constantly refilled which includes some croissants topped with sesame seed that are to die for. Their loaves of bread are equally delicious. The fruits are diverse and cut in the perfect serving sizes which not many hotels will take the time and effort to do. I really enjoyed their cheeses of which they have almost every single kind you can imagine all on a platter accompanied with cheese knives. There was a brie type cheese that was the most buttery and smooth cheese I've tasted. Those are some happy Swiss cows producing these cheeses for sure. Finally there are numerous beverages such as their fresh fruit juices including an apricot juice that was amazing. Can't say enough about their breakfast because it was so good. LOCATION Right by the wonderful C und M cafe that you'll likely be visiting more than once because of the great homemade meals. It is a mere 5 minute walk the other way to the train station and on the way you'll pass a Coop and a Laderach chocolate shop. CONCLUSION Hotel Spinne somehow manages to seamlessly blend the homeliness of a cabin with the modern comfort of a 5-star hotel. The surrounding natural beauty could not be closer and just makes this a must-stay hotel if you want an unforgettable and uniquely Swiss experience.

Yelp
Such a beautiful hotel! And amazing views of the Eiger mountain! My wife and I just spent our honeymoon there a couple days ago and are wishing we had spent more time there. We had a pleasant stay and everyone there was so hospitable and nice. I got sick during our honeymoon so I spent a full day inside the room which was not too bad given the beautiful scenery. Also, I think I booked a standard room but we were placed in a room with a magnificent view of the Eiger mountain - I'm not sure if we were upgraded for free but we really appreciated it! In addition, they were able to help us purchase Jungfrauroch tickets at the hotel which was very convenient. Also the breakfast here was super delicious. Bacon, eggs, cheeses, pastries, you name it! We quickly learned that Switzerland is super expensive when it comes to food and having breakfast here pretty much saved us from eating lunch too since it was so good and we ate so much of it. Overall, 10/10 place. Would come back in a heartbeat.
