Absolutely beautiful set up. Really beautiful place, the locality is absolutely charming and the staff are absolutely amazingly wonderful, as is the fellow who owns the hotel, who is also head chef and does some extremely well executed dishes indeed. The steaks are beyond reproach, as is the deer ragout. I had a wonderful 10 or so days there.

Cozy and charming historical hotel with excellent restaurant and extensive wine list for very competitive price. All members of the service made us feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommended for a couple of days retreat exploring the area.

We met some old friends from the US on our Germany trip here. Had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant with great wine. Our top floor room was absolutely perfect with large door like windows that opened to the sky. Just beautiful 😍

We like to stop over at this hotel on our way to the south. The owner cooks with fresh local ingredients, we love his kitchen. The newly decorated rooms are very nice. The bathroom is small but functional. The personnel is very kind. Good breakfast

An absolute treasure! Hotel Lamm is a lovely spot with gorgeous exterior. The rooms are beautiful, incorporating contemporary alongside rustic furnishings with super balconies.. The bathrooms are immaculately clean (my to go to criteria!) and modern. Now to the food! The evening meal was exceptional. The attention to detail and welcome to my British guests was overwhelming. The continental breakfast was had everything and 'a no rush' fee'l', Everyone we met were so welcoming and friendly, and incredibly professional. One small point, its no big deal, but there was no kettle in the room for your wake-up morning coffee. However with all the fantastic service and gorgeousness his boutique hotel has to offer, it pales into insignificance. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful hotel and restaurant. Our room was amazing. It was a grand suite on the 3rd floor with these huge windows that overlook a meadow, woods, a horse barn, and town. Everything in the room is updated and modern, including the bathroom. Just beautiful, and comfortable, and very quiet. ||There is no air conditioning but they provide a fan in the room. We were also there in the fall (September) and could open the windows and the room would cool overnight. ||We also had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Both were excellent and the service was as well. The dinner was gourmet! I would highly recommend eating here, even if you are not staying here. ||Great find in the northern Black Forest. |

First impression are of a traditional German country hotel (antlers turned into lamps, lots of wood), but the rooms are really good, roomy, contemporary. The restaurant is excellent, with a mouth-watering wine list. They are a 'Vinothek', and it shows in a list of great wines (with corresponding price levels). Enjoyable service too. The room that I had was not suitable to get any computer work done: no desk.

The views from this sweet little hotel are gorgeous - it overlooks a country landscape. The service is amazingly good - the staff were super accommodating to my food allergies and the meals were delicious! It was the perfect quiet retreat for our family.

The only down side is that the property is in a sleeping village, completely removed from any shops, pubs or points of interest. But my week's stay there was punctuated by restful sleep, delicious breakfasts, two absolutely spectacular dinners, lovely quiet surroundings, and very helpful and attentive staff. The old fashioned charm, successfully updated with modern comforts, made for a very enjoyable stay on the edge of the Black Forest. The higher elevation guaranteed snow almost every night - so waking up and driving through the forest roads and open fields covered with the fresh coating of white was such a nice way to start each day -- of course the fact that I did not need to shovel nor clear the snow off the car was a big factor in my positive attitude :-) Ask for a room at the end of a hallway - it will be more quiet than near a hallway door or the elevator. I changed my room - and the staff was quite accommodating. Very few people speak English, but the owner does, and goes out of his way to ensure his guests enjoy their stay. One negative is the poor wifi signal at the property.
