Casa Arcas

"This restaurant occupying a small rural hotel in the Benasque valley, not far from Candanchú station, is truly delightful. The couple in charge, Ainhoa Lozano and David Beltrán (the latter known as Tauste), show consummate professionalism and enthusiasm gained through working with master chef Martín Berasategui. The dining room, with its open fireplace and fine views, is the perfect setting in which to savour creative cuisine featuring intense flavours showcased on menus that take guests on a mouthwatering journey through the mountains. These include a special menu for guests staying the night, alongside two other hiking-inspired options entitled Sendero PR-7 and Gran Recorrido GR-10." - Michelin Inspector

I drove several hours out of my way to enjoy the scenery and to sleep and eat at the property. Very much worth it. Wonderful dinner. Thoughtful food and wine. And had a lovely short walk around the area before continuing on my journey. Highly recommended for both sleeping and eating.

We stayed here in August 2021. We went hiking in the mountains near the Cerler Ski Resort on the first day (highly recommend) and went white water rafting on another day. Both times, we came back to the hotel tired but happy. This hotel is an incredibly welcoming, warm, and relaxing place to stay. Ainhoa is an ever- present person at the hotel. I honestly don’t know when the woman sleeps. She is friendly, engaging, and very approachable. We ate dinner here on the second night. And WOW! The dinner was amazing! I can definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who plans on traveling to this part of Spain.

Lovely 7-plate set menu. We enjoyed every plate. Dessert was particularly stellar. Really nice experience. We'll definitely be back.

The owner is super friendly and will cater to your need. Amazing quality/cost benefit. We have stayed in many 5 stars in Spain, and this hotel fares best in quality/cost. Beds in 5 stars were often not as comfortable as the one in Casa Arcas! Food was almost star Michelin standard, while being authentic. Rooms on the back are super quiet. Beautiful little lane to walk directly to village.

We are in the midst of an over three week trip to northern Iberia. We have stayed in a spa overlooking the Douro River, spent several nights in Santiago de Compostela (and its coastal environs), eaten our way along the coast to San Sebastián and spent one night in the French Pyrenees town of Cauterets. All along, we enjoyed comfortable lodging, pleasant hosts, and wonderful food, BUT THEY ALL PALE IN COMPARISON TO OUR ONE NIGHT STAY AT CASA ARCAS.||The unassuming stone facade of Casa Argos (at marker 51 on road A-139 between Benasque and Castejón de Sos) doesn’t begin to suggest the delightful interior with its sitting areas and comfortable rooms with balconies overlooking a quiet garden and stunning views up he mountainside. Our host was welcoming and proudly showed us to our rooms, passing through an upstairs library and game room. Our rooms were well furnished in a rustic style with a very comfortable bed and balcony. All of the hotel was immaculately clean.||The breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of flavorful options, including fruit, yogurt, charcuterie, cheeses and breads. We also ate dinner in their restaurant, and we have reviewed it separately in the restaurant section.

It's easy to drive past this little, boutique-like hotel, located besides a small petrol station. If you look for a place in the Benasque area, however, it would be a big mistake not to stay in this hotel. The place may not look very special from the outside (because of the adjacent petrol station), but it is. The owners / staff are very friendly, the hotel is very tasteful decorated (not by an architect, but personal decoration), it has a cosy, warm atmosphere and a nice terras at the backside, where we enjoyed an ice-cold beer with some cheese every afternoon (we stayed 3 days). ||The dinner is very, very good; don't go out to have dinner somewhere else - you would miss a fantastic dinner and a good wine list with remarkable (low) prices.||If you go out hiking for the day (as we did), ask for the lunch boxes - just for 6,60 Euro, you will get a (large) lunch box. There is only one word for this hotel and that is "fantastic". This hotel really is the place to stay, if you are looking for lovely atmosphere, quiet place, good food (and wine), and friendly staff.

Great little Hotel with an outstanding kitchen. The chef served meals with local grown/made ingredients. The staff and owner gave an excellent service and guidance for our stay, and they gave us lunch boxes for our walks. A place to put on the tour map to come back to.

Nice and cozy restaurant venue, well distributed in terms of privacy and the perfect amount of noise.||The menu is technically amazing, well balanced and easy to understand. Fun and delicious dishes, good and charming service. Interesting wine menu!!! A must if you are around the valley.
