"Founded in 1894, this family business has a long tradition so you know you're in good hands here. In the beautifully refined and elegant restaurant of the hotel of the same name, Iris Bettinger has made a name for herself with her set menu, which boasts regional, Mediterranean and international influences. After working at the Hotel Colombi in Freiburg and Käfer-Schänke and Mandarin Oriental in Munich, she moved here in 2007 – which makes her the fourth generation at the helm. Her creative touch is evident in her dishes, for which she combines excellent, often regional ingredients. The grilled pike-perch with pointed cabbage, walnut and guanciale is a shining example. The service is friendly and professional; the enthusiastic sommelier will talk you through the 250 wines on the well-curated list." - Michelin Inspector

A nice small hotel that is ready to take a step towards the guest. The location is as central as can be for such a small cozy town. And the personnel is super friendly and ready to help. Many thanks to Reuter!

Family hotel, very modern and classy with fine art on walls throughout. Large modern and airy room - only downside was lack of drawers or shelves in which to unpack, and lack of net curtains for privacy on street below. Next to church with bells, and excellent central location. Free water and biscuits a nice touch. Helpful and friendly staff at all times. Especially when husband was suddenly taken ill with gastroenteritis.. they called for a doctor appointment, a wheelchair was miraculously found and they wheeled him over to the practice for me. Were most concerned and caring. Bed extremely comfortable and cleaning staff cheerful and made place very pleasant and we were just thankful that if we had to fall ill, it was at this place. We didn't get to eat ath the restaurant but the breakfasts were very pleasant, easy meals. Done with attention to detail and the staff made us feel rather special.

We stayed at Hotel Reuter in summer of 2019 and really enjoyed our time. At that time we drove to Rheda, but would note that the hotel is in walking distance to the train station. The staff was friendly and the hotel offered the best breakfast we had on our 2019 trip around Germany. Located near the tourist office, we were able to rent bicycles that we rode to Gütersloh. It is also located near the green space that connects the two city centers (Rheda-Wiedenbrück). Our 2019 trip was focused on family heritage. Some of my family had owned a bakery where part of the hotel now sits. After telling the desk clerk this he reached out to the town historian that faxed us documents related to my relatives time in town. Amazing. Over Christmas 2022 we stayed in town again, unfortunately the hotel closes for the holidays. I hope to visit again one day.

Booked for one night as on business in the area, the room was clean, functional and decent bed. The restaurant for Dinner and Breakfast were excellent and the service pretty good also. Would certainly stay here again when next in the area on business.

I stayed at hotel Reuter while on a business trip in Germany , staff were nice , rooms were very clean and very spacious , we had dinner in the restaurant which was very nice , and breakfast was also very good the next day. My room looked out on to the church and yes the bells rang but it wasn’t a problem.
