We loved our stay at Hotel Ritter. Your booking provides access to all their spas. They have a basement pool with a whirlpool. They have several wet and dry saunas. Their roof top gives great views of the adorable village. Their breakfast is delicious with a variety of cold fish, fruits, pastries, homemade waffles, cereal, soft boiled eggs, sparking wine, coffee, yogurt, cheese, and more! The beds were very comfortable especially for European standards and the a/c in the room works well. The hotel bar always had great drinks that you can take out on their lower patio. The wineries in the area are easy enough to hike to and provide self service cash boxes. You can rent vintage cars from them. I really loved all the vineyards in the area. I’m not sure if their hotel restaurant still has the Michelin star or not but the food was good regardless. Such a cute place that feels both vintage (the original part is from the 1600s) and modern.

We booked one of their larger rooms with a private sauna and a cozy chilling area. The room and it's amenities were luxurious and very comfortable. We did not use the spa areas. The restaurant was busy and full. We went to dine at fabulous restaurant just across the street, which was delicious and deserves a separate review. Breakfast was good, nothing exceptional to mention. Check in and out were straight forward and great that they have plenty of parking around the hotel grounds. Dog friendly.

The room was okay, but not extraordinary. I had a small balcony that was very nice in the late evening. Incredible breakfast, but it was kind of busy and there was only 1 coffee machine so there was a line. But the food was exceptional. Attached restaurant (makidan) not so much unfortunately. Left the place still hungry and with very emptied wallet. There are some nice places to eat at walking distance though.

We spent our 2025 Easter holidays together with friends at the Ritter. The place is quite big and a true maze to find good way around. It has quite some wellness area but all in pieces around the different interconnected buildings and different floors. At the beginning a bit hard to find way without a proper interoduction during check-in. The gym I found too small. A very narrow and sticky room with some lost cardio equiment and a weight rack, could be much better. The rooms were ok, good standart with everything needed. Restaurant is quite high level with a good wine celler. Breakfast was very tasty with all kinds of excellent food. The bar, on the other hand, small and without ambient, lost in the reception area. |The area of Durbach is quite attractive, just about 15min from Offenburg and 45min from Strassburgh in France.|I found the Ritter quite attractive, pricewise ok, and run by friendly and motivated people. One can see that the place has been enlarged, refurbished and somehow expanded a few times. This makes it a bit conceptless compared to other wellness hotels.

The hotel is very cozy, clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere. The vegan menus were excellent; once again, a huge compliment to the kitchen. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the presentation of each menu was entertaining.

Hotel was excellent from staff to facilities. Only down side we could get a table in the restaurant and the bar menu wasn’t very extensive so didn’t eat. Spa was great and the breakfast was really good. The double room was a good size and had a nice view of the court yard. Very peaceful.

I stayed in six different hotels throughout Germany (Frankfurt, Hamburg, stuttgart, Munich, and Durbach) over a week for work, and Ritter Durbach was by far the very best hotel. I will go back to Germany and just stay here all week. Breakfast was delicious, comfortable dining room. Room was spacious and clean. And the service was top notch. From arrival to check out, it was the most pleasant time I spent in Germany. Many thanks, Ritter Durbach; I’ll see you again soon.

I needed a hotel near Strasbourg and did not want to stay in the usual overpriced chains that are there.||Discovered this place and it really is outstanding. Location is in a lovely vineyard village but a few mins to the motorways.||Room very good and large.. comfortable beds.||Breakfast fantastic and plentiful. ||The Spa is brilliant and it’s free… if this was the UK there would be extra charges. Great combination of saunas, str room, pool , jacuzzi and chill out zones.||And to top it all it’s brilliant value for money.||So all in all this is a real gem. Well done to the owners.
