"Brazilian chef Mateus Marangoni concocts unusual menus rich in exotic notes, in tribute to his South American upbringing and time spent in Spain. The food is balanced and fresh; in fine weather, meals are served on the patio, opposite Sainte-Victoire and Vauvenargues Castle." - Michelin Inspector

"Fine art enthusiasts may be familiar with Mont Sainte-Victoire, a series of oil paintings by Post-Impressionist master Paul Cézanne. The series depicts one of the most iconic mountain ranges in southern France, and while the paintings are obviously breathtakingly beautiful, it’s a whole other story seeing the mountains in person — which brings us to Hotel Saint-Victoire and its front-row views." - Tablet Hotels

Great stay — modern, clean, and convenient We had a great experience at Hôtel Victor. The service was friendly, and the rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. The pool area was especially beautiful and relaxing. We didn’t try the breakfast, so can’t comment on that, but the hotel is very conveniently located, just a short drive from the center of Aix. Perfect for a peaceful stay close to the city. Would definitely return!

This is a beautifully designed modern hotel located in the countryside of Vauvenargues, which is a small community about a 15 minute drive from Aix en Provence. We stayed 5 nights and were impressed by the entire staff, which is super-friendly and professional, from the front desk concierges to the dining room staff. The rooms are very modern, with beautiful wood paneling and large wood closets, and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is small, but has a large modern sink and wonderful, luxurious shower with both a waterfall feature and adjustable handheld feature. Water pressure was perfect and hot/cold water temperature was very easily controlled by the modern fixture. The bathroom also has a towel warmer/dryer, which was very convenient. Our room had double glass doors leading to a small balcony on the second floor, which has a simply extraordinary view of the nearby mountainside and the Chateau of Pablo Picasso, which are just beyond the hotel's lovely pool. We were very pleased to find that our balcony doors also have a mechanized shutter that can be used to block out early morning sunlight from the room. The dining room is small and simple, but the staff are very attentive. Breakfast, which is made to order, was fresh and very good, and the chef's dinner tasting menu is extraordinary. Overall, for a small hotel in the countryside of Provence, we found this to be an extraordinary experience.

We loved this hotel, especially for the value. Amazing view of the mountain and the rooms were very modern and clean. The pool is beautiful and it’s a nice quiet atmosphere. The most amazing standout was the restaurant. This was the best meal we had in France. The chef does a French / Brazilian menu that is truly spectacular. The Hake with banana is one of the best things I have ever had. Also an amazing value for the tasting menu. A great place to spend the night in Provence!

The service and the food are from a 5 star hotel, there is no doubt. They could improve the furniture in the restaurant, such level of food and service deserves more environment and beauty. If you want to disconnect is perfect because Vauvenargues has nothing to do.

Beautiful hotel, new and comfortable, amazing kind & exceptional staff, who also upgraded me a room when the hotel was not so full. Beautiful Beautiful views of the Château Picasso, owned by Jacqueline’s family :) Really brings new life and visitors to the memories of Picasso Château. Happy this hotel is there and will definitley come back.

Beautiful hotel boutique with an amazing view of the back of Mount Saint Victoire. The rooms are nice and clean though the walls a bit thin. The Brazilian chef makes magic with the food served.

Excellent small hotel in the heart of Provence situated 30minutes from Aix en Provence. |Wonderful views of the Mont Sainte Victoire from the terrace. |Very helpful and friendly staff. Service was discrete and attentive. ||The hotel offers different room configurations but all overlook the Mont Sainte Victoire and the resting place if Picasso. The family chateau is not open to the public unfortunately.|The room we stayed in was well equipped with a modern ensuite bathroom and Italian shower. The bed was extremely comfortable.|The hotel offers an outdoor pool also overlooking the mountain. |The restaurant features a franco-bresilien menu with a vegan and childrens option. The flavourrs and originality of the dishes makes it a must. The breakfast was excellent and the food is made to order arriving quite rapidly. |We spent 1 night there but will definitely going back. |
