Hotel San Anselmo

Hotel San Anselmo is a beautiful hotel situated in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to everywhere you’d want to go. Our stay was perfect in every way. The breakfast was fabulous, with a great variety and quality. The staff, from the cleaning ladies to the receptionists and everyone in between, were excellent—always friendly and helpful. The hotel is very dog-friendly, and we felt incredibly welcome. Our room had everything we needed, including a balcony, bath, and shower. We also had a secured parking space, which was very handy. The hotel features a small garden where you can enjoy your breakfast, adding to the overall charm. Overall, we give Hotel San Anselmo a 10/10 and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a delightful stay.

We just arrived, and the service has been exceptional. Although we arrived early, our room was prepared quickly while we enjoyed a cappuccino on the terrace. The hotel is charming in a quiet neighborhood that is conveniently located to many tourist sites. The room with en suite bath is large by European standards. This is the second time my daughter has stayed here, and I am glad she recommended this hotel for our current visit to Roma.

This was a very disappointing stay after reading the many positive reviews. However, the location is excellent, the neighborhood is quiet and the surrounding area is beautiful. We received no instructions for the room, the city or anything else upon check-in. This was in stark contrast to the other places we stayed on this same trip in Italy. It was early for check-in when we arrived and we were grateful that we could have access to our room, so we didn't think much about it, dropped our things then left to explore the city. Upon return, we had no idea how to navigate our very hot room. It was then that we were curtly informed of several of the "features" of the room. This would have been very helpful to know upon check-in. The room and bathroom were both small and uncomfortable. The bed was very uncomfortable with two hard pillows and two equally hard pillows provided in the wardrobe. The entry to the tub/shower was difficult to navigate which would be an issue for some older individuals. In addition, both my husband and I felt a clear disdain from the staff. I went to the lobby bar before going to dinner. The bartender was clearly annoyed at having to serve me. When my husband came down (about 30 minutes later) and ordered a cocktail off their menu, he watched the bartender pour about a quarter of a shot of rum (the only alcohol) in his drink. We decided it was a good recovery drink from the hot day. We are convinced that they do not like Americans, so if you are not from America, hopefully you may receive good service here.

It's close to some landmarks so good if you want to see a lot during a short break, not too far to walk for the metro either. The service was great and our room was very large & pleasant to stay in. The area is quiet which we appreciated - it's up a bit of a hill depending on how you approach it but apart from the first time with bags this didn't bother us (& we could have got a taxi had we been that fussed).

This hotel is an absolute gem. If you wanna get away from the hardcore part of Rome in all the tourist, this is the spot nicely appointed decorations, very unique lobby crystal chandelier, the spiral staircase and the outside gardens made this absolutely a joy, breakfast Was far above what we expected plenty of meats. Cheeses something for everyone. The pastries the juice and of course your own personal server. Bringing you as much cappuccino and espresso as you care to drink. Their sister property around the corner. What's a wonderful dining experience? Quiet in the gardens, outdoors. It made for a very nice romantic night.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Rome in a very quiet neighbourhood. Rooms with a lot of character and modern comforts. Nice outdoor seating areas. Excellent breakfast and a bar to have a drink.

Great hotel in a lovely part of Rome. The breakfast, staff and rooms are first class and you are only a 15 minute walk to the Circus Maximus with the Pantheon and Coliseum only minutes further on. The square is very nice, and a charming area to walk into the centre with views across the city as you go.

A super boutique hotel in a very quiet area. However, close enough to all the amazing sights of Rome. Many accessible on foot within 15minutes. |The staff are professional, polite and accommodating at all times.|We were given a lovely room with terrace and fabulous view over the rooftops. The room was clean and very comfortable.|Breakfast was as expected, continental and plentiful.
