"Vienna, even more than most European capitals, holds tight to its rich, storied history. And why shouldn’t it? For the most part, the same has been true of its hotels — but a new generation of hoteliers is wagering that you’ll get your fill of the classics everywhere else in town, and your living arrangements can safely be brought up to date. Hotel Sans Souci is as lighthearted as the name suggests — it’s basically “without a care” in French — and here in the contemporary arts district of Spittelberg, just outside the Ringstrasse’s zone of seriousness, a lighthearted boutique hotel is exactly what’s called for." - Tablet Hotels

What a lovely gem of a hotel! Also located in such a fantastic area. We could walk to the museum corner in about five minutes. The customer service was so great before we even arrived. They were very helpful and they were so warm and welcoming once we got there too. They helped us with everything - we were in a little bit of a pain. We kept changing things which is not our norm, but we were so tired from two weeks of travel that we just ended up wanting to change our trip around a little. We both ended up getting a spa treatment, which was fantastic in their beautiful spa. We loved our breakfast every morning. Our room was so pretty with high ceilings big windows, all white and a gorgeous large bathroom and we didn’t have one of the highest room categories. All the amazing things that this had going for it and still the service just takes it to another level. Top notch stay. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the Sans Souci Hotel in October 2025. We loved the location of this hotel as it was central to so much of Vienna. There is a wonderful watch and jewelry store across the street where we purchased so many items. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The rooms were nicely decorated and had great amenities. Breakfast was delicious. We loved everything about the Sans Souci and will definitely return here the next time we are in Vienna!

We enjoyed 3 great nights at the Sans Souci hotel. The location, service, amenities, decor et al greatly exceeded our expectations. The front desk and restaurant staffs were exceptionally good and catered to our every request. Daniel was an absolute joy to visit with and is a valuable asset for the hotel. The only thing we would change is the ability to make coffee in our room. There wasn’t a coffee maker and we had to call every morning precisely at 7:00 to have coffee delivered to our room. Given the level of this hotel, it would seem that a coffee maker would be present. In any event, a very momentous stay. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent experience at the San Souci Hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very good location, near the museums, the centers of sights and the local transit stations. The room was spacious, comfortable with full amenities. The breakfast service was commendable as were the offerings. We would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Vienna.

This boutique hotel made our anniversary celebration stay in Vienna extra special. The location was great with easy access to all transportation. The service was fantastic, from the front desk, to the wait staff to the “free coffee on demand” via room service. The rooms were clean and bright. Breakfast was amazing and loved the specialty cocktails. Highly recommend.

It was a family trip to Vienna, taking my 87 year old mother back to Vienna, who lived there 77 years ago. ||When emailing the hotel initially, with questions about the hotel and rooms, they were very responsive and helpful. We wanted rooms very near to each other, so my mother felt comfortable & reassured we were close. That is exactly what we had, my husband & I being next door to her, in our own suite area. We dined in the restaurant on our first night, the food was delicious, with breakfast also being delicious & plentiful. We found all the staff polite, friendly & extremely helpful. ||We would definitely return to the hotel & Vienna, as we have much more to explore.||Thank you to all at Sans Souci for a very enjoyable & comfortable stay.

An unforgettable stay in the heart of Vienna! Hotel Sans Souci Wien is truly a hidden gem combining art, design, and warmth. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. The lobby felt like stepping into a private gallery — every corner was thoughtfully designed with art pieces by Roy Lichtenstein and elegant touches by Philippe Starck’s YOO team. We stayed in the Master Suite, and it exceeded all expectations. The Vi-Spring bed was incredibly comfortable, the marble bathroom with a freestanding tub was luxurious, and the entire space felt both cozy and refined. Breakfast at Veranda Brasserie was another highlight — from the champagne service to freshly prepared dishes, it was a perfect Viennese morning. The 20-meter indoor pool under crystal chandeliers and the Sans Souci Spa made it easy to unwind after a day exploring the MuseumsQuartier, which is just a few minutes’ walk away. If you’d like to see the full experience — from the suite tour to breakfast and spa moments — 🎥 you can watch my detailed video review on FrauHwang TV’s YouTube channel.

Yelp
This was a fantastic place with a wonderful staff. Each morning we were greeted with a choice of nibbles presented on a 3 tier tray. We had choices of variety of pastries and order of breakfast. We left a wallet full of cash accidentally and called after we left for Prague. They had it mailed it to Texas and when we got home it was there fully intact. Wonderful staff and nice central location by the museum district

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful in every respect. Just classy and stylish in every aspect and in very central location. The rooms are top modern (including top-of-the-line toilet seats with different programming, options), yet with a tasteful combination of old and new. Everybody in Vienna seemed extremely polite anyway, but the staff here surpassed everyone. After a wonderful sleep, the morning started with the perfect breakfast with a combination of buffet and à la carte items. If only the stomach was bigger and there was no calorie concern, I would've continued eating for the rest of the day. In the soussol, there were spectacular facilities for spa and fitness to come out steeled and softened alike. Definitely a place to come back to, and to recommend to others.

Yelp
We stayed 4 nights in June. The staff was personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the dining room lovely. The servers were courteous and friendly. Any issues that arose (children playing in the halls at night) and special requests (an early breakfast on checkout day) were handled quickly and professionally. Loved the location near the old town and the Underground. We would definitely stay there again!

Yelp
If there were more than five stars for a hotel, the Sans Souci in Vienna would receive it. Not only is it beautifully appointed and perfectly located, the included breakfast is beyond compare (Laurent Perrier champagne!) But the most remarkable aspect of this elegant gem, just off the Ringtrasse, is the attentive staff. They handled our every wish. We arrived in Vienna with no schedule, and no plans, but asked them to orchestrate a three day adventure for us. Immediately they procured third row seats to the Opera, a personalized Vienna historical and cultural overview tour of all the important sites and gardens, a horse drawn carriage ride enhanced with more champagne, and dinner reservations at three varied and exquisite restaurants. (To some people, a horse drawn carriage ride might be hokey, but I highly recommend this for Vienna as it allows you to absorb the architectural beauty of Vienna at a slower pace. The guides are very knowledgeable as well.) One night happened to be our anniversary, and they arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be waiting at the restaurant to mark the special occasion. Also, I must tell you about the one episode that blew my mind: we left/forgot our opera tickets in the room, and only discovered this at dinner shortly before curtain call. The staff at the front desk, especially Annika, was able to find the tickets in my room, scan and then email them to me. It would have been impossible for me to hail a taxi, get back to the hotel, grab the tickets, and make the opera on time. it was outstanding customer service, and Annika, Ulrich, Peter, and really the entire staff is to be commended. I also especially loved the coffee service which arrived almost as I hung up the phone requesting it!. Thank you, Hotel Sans Souci, we now feel like we have discovered the perfect way to experience Vienna, and you were responsible for it.

Yelp
The Sans Souci is now my favorite Hotel in Austria and one of my favorites among all. The staff is incredibly forthcoming and friendly, the rooms are luxurious and clean and the Spa is great. These guys truly made our stay special. The location is amazing, sitting next to the Volkstheater across from the Museum Quarter in walking distance to all of downtown. Subway station is across the street, giving you access to just about anywhere.

Yelp
Traveling through Europe with my lady and some friends, we decided to spend some time in Vienna, so we spent 3 nights in this excellent Hotel. + Exquisite 5 Star spacious room. + Royal room service & Front Desk. + Very comfy bed. + Gourmet food. My lady loved their Spa. We'll definitely revisit for a much longer stay.

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel - genuinely a great stay and comes with so much extra (very pleasant!) service. The housekeeping team are on it like Sonic. I swear every time we left the room they were in there, folding and changing things! The staff are very knowledgeable, and the location couldn't be better: it's next to an underground station, right on a tram line, a short walk from the city center and has a Spar next to it in case (like us) you absolutely need energy drinks to do morning things. I did find it pretty amusing on the way in that the walls around the reception are white-padded. I was wondering if their applications had something like "You don't have to be crazy to work here, but it helps", but I figured it's probably best not to say anything. Excellent hotel!

Yelp
Could not have had a more pleasant stay. Despite the fact our room had a view of an air-conditioning unit, the outstanding location, professional and courteous staff, sophisticated decor, and delicious food (even the breakfast buffet is outstanding) made the Sans Souci the perfect end to our fall vacation. The Sans Souci is on the ring about 15 minutes walk from Stephansplatz and next to Vienna's "MuseumQuartier". So you'll have no trouble finding ways to amuse yourself during your stay. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that, in the not terribly likely event we're back in Vienna in the near future, we are already planning a second visit.

Yelp
We booked this hotel based on the effusive Yelp reviews...lets just say that after spending two nights here I completely understand the enthusiasm! This was an extremely pleasant hotel stay. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the rooms spacious and well appointed. The bed...the bed was comfortable beyond belief. I also loved the heated bathroom floor. It made those chilly Vienna mornings so much better. The free breakfast buffet was also expansive and very tasty. The location of the hotel cannot be beat either. Loved it!

Yelp
This hotel is truly a gem with a perfect location by the museum quarter. Walking distance to the center of the city. Subway is 100 feet away. Service is top notch and the rooms are modern and elegant. On top of that it has a spa and pool. You could not go wrong with this hotel and the morning breakfast is diverse and very good.

Yelp
This 5 stars hotel is perfectly located near the area of museums and very close to numerous lines of bus, tramways and metros. This is the perfect location to discover Vienna. Rooms are wide (min 30 sqm), very clean, well equiped, with a very comfortable bed. You will enjoy your stay there as it is very calm, and the staff is doing his best to answer your requirements. Notice that breakfast is included in the fare. It consists in a very nice and complete buffet, and you can even order eggs without extra fee. There is also a sauna, a pool, a fitness center and a spa in the hotel. We recommend this address without any doubt.

Yelp
This hotel has exceeded every expectation we had. The rooms are immaculate and nicely furnished with the little extras. The front desk and concierge staff are lovely and speak a whole bunch of languages very graciously. A compliment to Andreas who asks the right questions so that he can make the right things happen for us. Changes and accommodations are taken in stride. The housekeeping staff was very kind despite our sleeping every day past normal cleaning time. To a certain degree this is expected of housekeeping, but the attitude makes all the difference. These people are just nice. The food in the restaurant and bar is excellent, including the breakfast and Sunday brunch which come with the room. They've a garage for the car, which is good because it's extraneous; every part of the city can be accessed by the metro, a stop for which is half a block away. Several museums are across the street. Book here without worry and have a lovely stay.
