Hotel Schloss Mönchstein

We started our trip in Budapest and ended at the Hotel Schloss Monchstein and what a fabulous way to end our vacation. From the moment we pulled up, we were greeted by Alessio with 2 glasses of champagne which was a perfect beginning to the "over-the-top" service that we received during our stay. Every associate we met, received us with a warm, friendly greeting, always remembering our names, and a desire to assist in any way possible. I sent the hotel a couple of e-mails prior to our stay and each one was answered quickly, with a thorough response, even by the Night Auditor (as we have an 8 hour time difference). The turn down service was always presented with a moist, delicious Bundt Cake, such a nice touch. The property was immaculate, while we didn't get the chance to dine a the Glass Garden, I would highly recommend Osteria Cavalli, just a short taxi to town and the Italian Food and service were fabulous.

We had a really wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful. The location is really fantastic. The Tower Room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptional, friendly, and very attentive. We would absolutely stay here again without a second thought.

Have been lucky enough to stay in many five star resorts in Europe. This hotel is as good as any. From the wonderfully personal check-in to the people who make this small, elegant boutique hotel, run like a top.|Our room with the terrace had a wonderful view extraordinary artwork was huge and had a delightful bathroom with two large sinks.|The food was superb in the small spa was more than adequate.|The setting is at the top of the hill in a lovely forest|If you are visiting Salzburg, you cannot go wrong staying here

This hotel treats you like royalty from the moment you walk in the door, from skipping the traditional check-in and giving you a glass of champagne and a sit down in their lovely bar while they do the work, to giving you the most friendly welcome from all staff. We had the privilege of being upgraded to the castle suite free of charge, which was abundant in size, with the most beautiful antique character and sky high ceilings. A beautiful double size bathroom with full walk in closet and ice cold air conditioning. Not to mention the property has the most beautiful gardens and color. Access to town by foot is easy with the museum elevator to the lower level (free with card provided by hotel). The hotel restaurant food is 10/10. This was one of the higher cost hotels we stayed during our honeymoon but we found it was worth the cost 100% compared to the others due to the level of treatment and service. If you plan to splurge on a hotel in Salzburg this is the one you must visit. Cannot wait to come back!

Salzburg is a ok town. Until you show up to the Schloss. What do they have? Great pool. Grab a couple aperol spritzes and go for an underwater breathing competition. Great breakfast. Skip the serve it yourself buffet and Order an omelette and some crepes. Great town. Take the elevator and walk to La Stella. Order the bolognese, the feta cheese pizza, and the tiramisu. Drink wine and take the long way back. Draw a bath, walk around in the robe, and fall asleep reading. Salzburg is now your favorite town.

We loveeeeed this hotel! We went to Salzburg in early June for a few days and this hotel was great. The room was very spacious and they upgraded us to a bigger suite upon arrival. The pool was nice and was not crowded at all. Our breakfast was included and was great — it had lots of options and the service was quick. The hotel gave us tickets to a lift, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The lift will take you to the main shopping / food area in Salzburg. It was super convenient to get around so we only needed an Uber a few times. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to go back!!!

We were so excited to get to the hotel as we had high expectations, and it exceeded them all! The hotel is simply beautiful, but their staff makes a stay there so worth it. From the moment we arrived we were treated like a king and queen. You are welcomed with champagne or whatever beverage you prefer while they took your luggage to the room. And then Linda made sure we had restaurant reservations that we wanted in Salzburg. That extra bit of care as it was Christmas time and many places were booked up. But, she got us into a fabulous Italian Restaurant that had the best homemade pasta we have had. ||Each morning the wonderful staff working the breakfast area always made us feel special, and what is even better they treated everyone like they mattered. And wow, the dinner at the Glass Garden was amazing. Truly 5 star. ||We had so many wonderful interactions with their staff, that I hate to list in case we miss someone, and we sadly don’t have all their names. But, the young lady that ran the bar and seemed to work 24 hours a day was exceptional. Always sweet and helpful. The crew that managed breakfast was simply the best. The reception staff, including Linda, were world class and such an asset to the hotel. ||We HIGHLY recommend staying here if you can. Spending Christmas in this castle is a special experience and memory.

Beautiful rooms and facilities, great location, and impeccable service. What a gem of a place ! It was like a dream. The breakfast included is 10/10 delicious and the restaurant for dinner was possibly a bit experimental for some but still very well done. I hope to be back one day !

This is a hotel out of the world. The setting is enchanting. The staff are very friendly. They gave me one of their nicest room with stunning view of Salzburg. I am a sucker for wonderful views and it made my stay very memorable.

Beautiful views; lovely walk to Old Town. Excellent beds, bath, linens, & restaurant. Friendly & helpful staff from welcome drinks to packing gourmet picnic lunches. Tip to hotel: Muzak is awful; Mozart would be a vast improvement.

This hotel was fantastic! It was beautiful inside and out and the staff was top notch. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us on every request. The breakfast was delicious and there were many options. The spa was beautiful and relaxing.
