Hotel Schloss Mönchstein

What a wonderful experience to stay at this beautiful hotel. Just being here made you feel like royalty. From being greeted with champagne upon arrival to stepping into our fairytale room every detail was perfect. The views are amazing and dining at The Glass Garden was an incredible dining experience. What really makes this hotel, though is the incredible staff who are always happy to do whatever it takes to make your stay more enjoyable and comfortable. Every time you stepped into or out of the hotel, you were greeted by someone who took the time to talk to you and ask about what you were planning or had been doing for the day. They always seemed sincerely interested and happy to make suggestions. Truly every detail of our stay was perfect! This absolutely is now one of my favorite hotels that I have stayed in. Thank you to all the staff for this special stay.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Schloss Monchstein. The hotel was lovely and the service even better. The front desk staff was so helpful with recommendations for dinner and activities during our trip to Salzburg. They also had passes for guests which allowed you to use the elevator to easily get from the top of the mountain to the old city which made it so easy to explore. We stayed in the Tower Suite and had amazing views of the Altstadt and Alps from our windows. Cannot wait to stay again during our next visit to Salzburg.

What a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday! The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more thoughtful. From the welcome champagne through to the delicious birthday cake that was brought to our room. ||We had an absolutely outstanding dinner in the hotel restaurant. Their accommodation of dietary requirements and still delivering delicious food was much appreciated. Definitely the best meal of our trip. ||The rooms are lovely, and the team were very helpful when we needed to change rooms to due to bedding configuration. The only small hiccup was some more attention to detail needed on room servicing, minor adjustments would enhance the overall experience.

Perfect location atop the mountain with panoramic view of the city. Rooms meticulously clean . Friendly atmosphere and willing to go out of the way to ensure a relaxing, worry free experience from reservation, arrival to departure! 5 star experience for breakfast from spread to service! Amazing nature walk through the property and a well equipped, clean workout facility. It’s not just a stay, it’s an experience and the price is well worth it!

From the minute we walked into the lobby, we were warmly welcomed with warm smiles and an eagerness to make us comfortable. The property is exquisite and feels like sheer luxury but not pretentious. Helga escorted us to our room and pointed out all the nuances. What a personal touch! Our room was divine and tastefully decorated. We would love to return for a longer stay and enjoy the spa and pool.

I‘d guess one of the best options to spend time in Salzburg. Enjoy the view from the top, easy access to the city centre (10min walking - tickets for the elevator are available at the reception) and especially enjoy the hotel and the splendid service. We did and had a remarkable and well remembered weekend there. From the minute of arrival until we left we’ve felt well rested with lots of hospitality. Btw the Turm-Suite is very nice but if you like it more spacy then it’s also a little small (we loved it) but with great views!

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. We pulled up to the hotel and Felix was there to greet us with a smile and 'happy birthday'. We arrived on my birthday and they noticed! We were offered welcome drinks as check-in details were completed. Our room was gorgeous. Giant bathroom with a tub, shower, and water closet. Beautiful little patio. Turn down service was such a kind-hearted touch with 'evening thoughts' and a chocolate.|We booked the six course dinner at the Glass Garden. The meal was so thoughtful and inventive. Ricotta ice cream with red onion? Divine. Cheesecake with chervil and chickpea granita? Beautiful. Our server was so wonderful. I wish I had gotten her name because she was also working the breakfast room the following two mornings. Her name began with a 'V' and she was absolutely lovely.|We asked about leaving our car in the garage after checkout and Felix happily obliged and offered funicular tickets for the fortress. Every hotel needs a Felix. He made our stay so comfortable and welcoming.|The best thing about Schloss Monchstein is the staff. Not only will they provide excellent service, but your needs as a guest are anticipated. It is next-level service.|We cannot wait to come back and will absolutely recommend this hotel to friends.

Fantastic staff. Concierges both, Samantha and Felix are stand outs. They are both great problem solvers even when the challenges are not involving the hotel, such as car rental or concert tickets… Whatever you require to make your stay relaxed and unencumbered they will volunteer their capable assistance. Lovely and relaxing place to hang your hat when in Salzburg.

This is a hotel out of the world. The setting is enchanting. The staff are very friendly. They gave me one of their nicest room with stunning view of Salzburg. I am a sucker for wonderful views and it made my stay very memorable.

Beautiful views; lovely walk to Old Town. Excellent beds, bath, linens, & restaurant. Friendly & helpful staff from welcome drinks to packing gourmet picnic lunches. Tip to hotel: Muzak is awful; Mozart would be a vast improvement.

This hotel was fantastic! It was beautiful inside and out and the staff was top notch. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us on every request. The breakfast was delicious and there were many options. The spa was beautiful and relaxing.
