A charming and relaxing stay at Hotel Schwarzmatt We spent two nights at Hotel Schwarzmatt for a quiet weekend getaway and left feeling refreshed and well cared for. The hotel has a timeless charm, with thoughtful decor throughout that gives it real character. Our room was spacious and comfortable, making it easy to unwind after exploring Badenweiler. The staff were friendly and attentive, and everything from check-in to checkout was smooth and well organized. The spa area was a highlight, offering a calm environment that adds a nice touch of luxury to the stay. Breakfast was simple and typical of a European spread, with enough variety for a relaxed start to the morning. Not exceptional, but perfectly adequate. The dinner menu was small, but had what we were looking for: a great soup, salad bar and desserts! Definitely try the wine from this region when you are here. Overall, Schwarzmatt is a warm, welcoming hotel with plenty of character, ideal for a peaceful escape in Badenweiler. Would happily return.

We just stayed one night but had a great stay. The corner room felt very spacious with nice interior. Dinner also met more than our expectations starting with a nice buffet, good choices for the main as well as nice desserts. Service was great everywhere and the whole stay was a great value for the price.

Wow, the breakfast was amazing, really worth the price! We walked in at 10am and the buffet was very well served, the cappuccino and omelet were delicious and you could even help yourself with some prosecco! The service was 5 stars and the people very lovely. Thank you for this good moment. We will definitely come back God willingly

Excellent service and lovely breakfast! The interior has that charming “royal golden touch” — floral patterns, golden taps and light switches, in a style typical of German classicism. Surprisingly tasteful and well put together. Definitely recommend!

Everything was perfect during my weekend stay. ||The hotel has a warm, old-fashioned feel to it and is incredibly cozy and comfortable. But there was nothing outdated about the bathroom, which was modern, well-heated, with a huge shower that had perfect water pressure!||Guests are made to feel very welcome, when checking in thanks to the professional and kind welcome as well as in the restaurant where the staff are wonderfully attentive and friendly. Although the restaurant had a small choice of dishes (dinner menu) the food was delicious and very fresh.

The hotel is perfectly maintained and run by the sweetest staff. The property has a nice spa area with saunas and an indoor pool. It also has thermal baths close by. Its a great spot to get away from the city but could be a little boring for younger people

Excellent service - attentive and caring. I was there with my Mother - and we had certain specific requirements due to her age and reduced mobility. The Hotel staff paid special attention to our needs and were always friendly and polite. The food was very good (breakfast and dinner) and restaurant service was also very good. Our room was large and comfortable and well appointed. The style is old-fashioned, but we did not mind that. Overall - very good and recommended.

We were at the end of a holiday mainly in Malta and then seeing friends in Switzerland. As we were flying back to Scotland from Basel we looked for a conveniently located hotel. We could not believe how fortunate we have been in all respects. ||The hotel is located in the southern Black Forest and the drive, from the south, not on the quickest route was a wonderful way to approach the very scenic town of Badenweiler. It has so very much to commend it from its scenic park, Roman remains, Spa bath with views to go with it. ||But it was arriving at the hotel presented the best of welcomes. Set within walking distance of both the town centre and the forest both of which were visited in our far-too-brief s stay. Set in delightful gardens we received a warm welcome. The room was an upgrade to a beautifully presented room with balcony overlooking the garden. ||The cuisine we experienced from coffee and cakes, evening meal and breakfast were simply delicious with warm and friendly service. ||Apart from the walk in the forest and around the delightful town, we also enjoyed the use of the swimming pool and related facilities. What a well presented and relaxing place. ||As we were only booked for one night, we delayed our departure until after lunch. We will not make the mistake of just staying one night next time. ||A friendly and welcoming hotel were the family’s influence is always present.
