Hôtel Sezz Saint-Tropez (Saint-Tropez, French Riviera / Provence) 4 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"While many hotels in Saint-Tropez look back — either to the Sixties or to the turn of the 20th century — Hôtel Sezz trusts that the town’s signature glamour isn’t tied to any one historical period. This ultra-chic luxury boutique hotel is the result of a partnership between hotelier Shahé Khalaidjian and designer Christophe Pillet, and a truly inspired one; though its visual language contains a wealth of retro references, including splashes of color that are subtly but surely Provençal, Hôtel Sezz Saint-Tropez is a fresh perspective on this classic destination." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Sezz | Best places to stay in Cote d'Azur

"No expense was spared in creating this idyllic, architect’s-dream hotel, immersed in a two-acre Mediterranean garden in Saint-Tropez. A short walk from Canebiers Beach and 3km from Saint-Tropez centre, the hotel’s boxy white rooms have floor-to-ceiling French windows, filling them with light and opening onto private garden terraces equipped with outdoor showers and loungers. The pricier ones have plunge pools, too. Then there’s the picture-perfect heated pool, surrounded by palms; the hedonistic Cinq Mondes spa, a Dom Perignon champagne bar and an exceptional restaurant. Free shuttles will drop you in Saint-Tropez centre and its spot-the-celebrity beaches, such as Pampelonne – so you have the best of both worlds: a buzzy local scene, with peaceful comfort back at base. Hospitality by the staff is second to none. You are treated as one of their own. Even if there are 2 or 3 others at reception (hardly happens) you get each members' fullest attention. The women at the reception are exceptional and extremely friendly and the concierge can get it done! The shuttle drivers to the beach and town are patient and reliable. The place is excellent, stayed 3 nights during the off season and it was fantastic couldn't have been happier and more relaxing. Cabins are as pictured, clean, spacious, with much light in the day. The grounds, pool are what you see, elegantly designed and very nice. Thank you, hope to be back.

Three words! Fab-u-lous! From the moment our luggage was taken from our cheap rental car until the moment they were returned, we were treated like royalty. Rooms were nicely done with an outdoor shower & secluded outdoor lounging space. The pool was well-designed with separate sections for more privacy. The shuttle into & returning from town was a welcome amenity, since all I remember from my last trip to Saint-Tropez was the horrific traffic. The “icing” on the cake was the bag of waters & treats that were placed in our rental car as we said “au revoir” (goodbye until we meet again).

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The concierge services are off the charts. We have been traveling for 40 years and we can’t think of better concierge services than what we received at this hotel. The concierges planned everything for us: Beach clubs, lunches, dinners. Everything was great that they planned. They even went into town to the Monoprix to pick up a new suitcase for us. The hotel is very nice and we had a nice room (although the curtain for the back window never worked properly), they have a Michelin star restaurant whose food is amazing (but, with wine, quite expensive), they have a beautiful pool, a very impressive breakfast and a super nice staff. But the major reason to stay here is the all-star concierge staff.

We had the best time at Hotel Sezz for our wedding anniversary. Lovely and attentive staff, great food, and the pool area is so relaxing. Plus the hotel is very close to the village and the beach. A perfect location and stay. We can’t wait to return! ||Merci et à la prochaine!

Hotel Sezz is the best place to stay in Saint-Tropez. Located about 10 mins away from the bustling downtown area. Every single staff member provided superb service. Also, they were all very attentive to our needs. As a foodie, it was a dream come true staying at a hotel with a Michelin Star Restaurant 'Colette'. The Chef's table experience was remarkable. Chef Philippe made our experience very special with a savory, mouth-watering surprise menu and exquisite birthday dessert. We also enjoyed a two hour spa ritual that was the most relaxing experience we've had in France. We highly recommend Hotel Sezz for your trip to Saint-Tropez. With all the amenities and how comfortable and beautifully designed the guest rooms are, you won't want to leave the hotel.

Just had a 3 night stay here. Free valet parking on arrival, complimentary welcome cocktail by the pool as we waited for our room to be ready to check in to, which they managed an hour ahead of the 4pm check-in time.||Manon at reception was very personable, friendly and polite.||Room was large, bathroom very large and our private pool/garden area generous in size.||Yannick the concierge was fantastic. He's definitely earned his Golden Keys.||One highlight was the 'shuttle service' into town and the beach clubs. Typically this means a mini-bus at most hotels but not Hotel Sezz. It is literally a 7 seater deluxe van ready and waiting to transport you free of charge whenever you wish to go, and privately. Adrian our valet/driver pretty much took us on every trip in and out of town and was a really nice guy. Every time we called for a pick up back to the hotel, they always arrived within 10 minutes of our call. Very good service.||The only negatives in my opinion was that twice staff passed through our private pool area/garden unannounced. There (to my knowledge) also aren't any doorbells or buzzers at the front door to alert to the staff arriving to service the rooms, so on two more occasions we looked up to see staff peering through our front door to see if we were there or not. A little unusual for a hotel of this quality. There also was no Smart TV (that I could see) so unusual again for a hotel like this not to have access to streaming services/Sky TV etc. This side of things did seem a little 'dated' although that said, I could have been doing something wrong.||Communal pool area great and we would have been most happy here without the need to have booked a villa with a private pool as it wasn't overcrowded. Love reading in the compendium that if guests 'claim' a sun lounge and don't use it for 20 minutes then the hotel reclaim it. I have never seen this before but think it's great and stops the notorious travellers who stake their claim first thing in the morning then spend hours elsewhere, before returning to their sun lounges much later in the day. Good initiative Hotel Sezz.||

We have just concluded our most recent stay at Hotel Sezz and, once again, have had the most fantastic experience. From start to finish, I could not fault anything. The hotel is beautiful and modern, spotlessly clean and no detail has been missed. The staff are polite, attentive and very professional. Nothing is too much to ask. I must make a special mention to Maxime and Yannick, the two concierges. They are simply the best concierges of any hotel we have ever stayed at. Extremely knowledgeable about everything and everywhere locally and can pick up the phone to a contact anywhere, at any time and make any arrangement. St Tropez is a personal favourite destination for us and we would never consider staying anywhere other than Sezz, as they offer a totally perfect experience. We look forward to returning again next year.

Google
Nice hotel, well located away from the bizz but near enough to easily access the beach clubs and St Tropez town.|We stayed four nights. Unfortunately breakfast felt like a chore; they were very understaffed so the tables were not laid or cleared away as efficiently as you would expect. Also felt the service around the pool for drinks could have been more attentive. We also had to ask for toiletries to be replenished in our bathroom on two occasions. Overall an average experience however the staff were all very friendly and helpful when available.

Yelp
My wife and I wanted to have a great meal while we were in St. Tropez and this place came highly recommended. We were promptly greeted upon entry and our hands never touched a door from when we stepped foot on property. We ended up doing the larger 7 course tasting menu with a wine pairing. Unfortunately, they were out of oysters so they had to pivot but provided us a spectacular dish as an alternative. The food was fresh and unique, we also enjoyed the wine pairing, which massively compliment the dishes. There's maybe enough seating for 25 people, so it's a small and intimate setting, next to a beautiful pool. Everything was 5 star but I did feel that there was one aspect that really rubbed me the wrong way. When we stat down we were each "offered" a glass of champagne. Sure, why not, but when I looked at the bill the "offered" glasses of champagne were €50 each. Mind you this meal was nearly €1000 euro total with tip, so it's not about the cost, more how it was presented. I likely still would have purchased the glasses of champagne but when someone comes and say "Would you like a glass of champagne to start?" there an assumption (but you know what they say about that) there's not going to be a charge associated with it. I felt we certainly got what we paid for, but don't offer a glass to start and then tack another €100 on for the first two small glasses of champagne.

Yelp
Stay at the hotel apartment on Bd Orangiers to accommodate all seven of us. This is a five star hotel yet in the apartment the dishwasher was full of dishes -luckily clean. So I put them away. The remote system to open the entrance door from the living room in order to see who was at the door - inoperative. The remote to open close curtains in master bedroom (one of 3) inoperative. The minimalist architecture & interior design was very impressive & cool but not utilitarian at all. Nowhere to hang wet used towels & no maid service during our stay. They did provide plenty of extra towels but again used towels not picked up. No shelf in showers of any of the three bathrooms so shampoo bottles had to sit on the floor. Obviously the designer of this apartment was a man who is clueless what women or a family require. Cannot charge anything to room while there as any charges must be paid on the spot. But that apparently is a rule not to do that without prior approval. Our concierge, however, Linda was a delight. She brought us breakfast in the morning. She took care of our laundry delivery. She was available to be called at of any hour of the day/night when one of our plugs blew out and plunged entire apartment into darkness-She was available to help so we couldn't ask for more than that she was terrific!! Do stay & enjoy this beautiful 5 star hotel in St Tropez. The restaurant food is fabulous & well over 1000 euros for dinner but Michelin star quality it is!

Yelp
Sezz is a true gem. My husband and I are luxury travelers, and since this was our first time in St. Tropez we did extensive research when choosing our accommodations. In the end we narrowed down our choices to Hotel de Paris, Byblos, Sezz, and Cheval Blanc. Originally, the main reason we picked Sezz was the kind, professional, and courteous way with which they replied to our concern about smoking at the hotel. My husband and I ABHOR cigarette smoking and are highly allergic, so, being that culturally smoking is highly accommodated and accepted in France, we were legitimately concerned for our comfort and well-being. Before choosing where to stay, I emailed all four hotels named above to get a feel of the tone in the responses I would receive regarding my concerns and my desire to be in a smoke-free environment that would offer refuge from all the smoking I would encounter at beaches and on the streets. Sezz was BY FAR the more professional and courteous hotel, assuring me that there is absolutely no smoking indoors anywhere, and that the comfort of their non-smoking guests are a priority to them. We had been on a yacht for a week prior to our arrival, and had shopped so extensively that we had to rent an SUV to drive from Nice (where we disembarked the yacht) to St. Tropez. Sezz offers complimentary parking, and a complimentary and really easy to use and accommodating shuttle service to and from the town center that is located just about a mile away. They take you and pick you up on demand. The staff, especially the concierge staff, was INCREDIBLE. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, confirmed all of our dinner reservations and gave us important tips and advice on how to book our beach club. Everyday we went out of the premises they would ask where we were headed and ensure we had everything we needed, including beach towels and a beach bag. It was the best 5 star service I ever receive in any hotel - and that says a lot considering how much I have traveled and where I have stayed. Their restaurant on premises (Colette) is GREAT. I will review that separately, but just know you will be greatly satisfied with the flavor, creativity, presentation, and quality of the food as well as the mixologist and the service. The SPA is small, but offers incredibly high quality services, such as a refine body treatment that truly works in slimming down your silhouette. They also have complimentary use of their steam room and Jacuzzi spa. The pool is GORGEOUS, heated, and with enough chairs to accommodate all guests - the hotel was full but we always had a place of our own to lay down and sunbathe. The rooms are private and like little bungalows. We were given an upgrade (without asking for one) upon arrival, and were very happy with the size of our room, the outdoor shower, and the little garden in the back. My ONLY complaint is the location of the toilet (in a closet right by the bed and completely away from the bathroom itself) and the lack of storage room. We were unable to unpack even 1/4 of our clothes due to lack of storage to put them in. But the truth is we also had a lot of things given this was the second half of our trip to southern France. We ended up visiting all three properties previously mentioned and either eating there or using their spa services (Byblos, Hotel de Paris, and Cheval Blanc) and we were VERY HAPPY that we picked Sezz. The other hotels could simply not compare. There is no hotel in St. Tropez or its vicinity that offers a better refuge, especially to non-smokers and English speakers, than Sezz. No staff is kinder or more accommodating, no hotel is more elegant and well-appointed, no air is purer or more filled with just oxygen than Sezz. There is one recommendation I offer though: we understand that Sezz has a champagne bar that sells alcoholic beverages by the pool. We had been gifted a bottle of champagne from the yacht that we wanted to enjoy by the pool, and there was no sign anywhere that said that was not permitted. The menu said nothing about a corking fee and there was no reason for us to feel that would be imposed given that this is a hotel - not a restaurant - so we should be able to drink our own bottle. But when we tried, we were notified by the mixologist that if we drank our own champagne by the pool he would have to charge us a fee. If that is the case, that rule should be clear and posted everywhere -and it wasn't. Having him come up to us was not only surprising but embarrassing, and frankly would not have happened had the rule been stated somewhere. Overall though, we would certainly stay at Sezz again. What a find!

Yelp
This place is paradise! It is what it is. Room was just magnificent, with an outdoor shower and a terrace with your own private garden/coffee table. Staff will pamper you no matter what and the complimentary shuttle will take you to the beach and to the center of town whenever you want to. 5/5 in every aspect. Will be coming back for sure!
