Hotel – Spa – Restaurant Sonnenhof Lautenbach

The hotel is small but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Spacious rooms with a balcony. The spa is very good too. They have the option of wearing a swimsuit.||The cleaning service is very friendly. And most importantly, the hotel management helped us with the shipment of belongings that we left forgotten.

Many plusses: pleasant and helpfull crew; big doppelzimmer rooms; good bathroom architecture; airco; frig and in room coffee machine. Laundry service available: quick, clean and fair priced. Excellent spa/swimming pool. Could be better: bar entourage and atmoshere; cramped breakfast rokm spaces and tables: at 9am buns, eggs and scrambled are run out. Poor coffee machine logistics. Quality if breakfast food is good. Disapointing: overrated dinercard, and kitchen brigade that doesnt honor traditional German good cocking.

The hotel is in a beautiful Black Forest setting. Rooms and breakfast (included) were a treat in themselves, but they have a spa too! ||The amazing pool and hot tub overlooking Lautenbach were amazing. Don't miss out on the Salt Grotto (room with Salt blocks) for de-toxing and relaxing. ||Thank you for offering a fantastic space for winding down our 14 day visit.

This was our second visit to this lovely hotel in the heart of the Black Forest. This time we treated ourselves to the Superior Mountain View rooms which we really enjoyed. The rooms are very spacious and pleasantly decorated with quality fittings and a wonderful balcony and view. The restaurant has got more expensive with less choice and fewer opening hours. The food is good but maybe not quite as good as it was last time. Otherwise perfect!

We loved this hotel and plan to return and explore the surrounding area more fully. The hotel is well managed, clean and beautifully appointed. We stayed in the old part of the hotel but the rooms were still pleasant and comfortable and in excellent condition. We also had a lovely terrace overlooking the restaurant. The staff are very attentive and eager to please and the food in the restaurant is first class. We will be back!

Decent hotel, but quite varying level of service. Several times ordered food without certain allergenic, but got it served anyway. But more frustrating: the solution is not to just brush the ingredient from the dish at the table. Please learn the importance of allergenics in food.

Good hotel with comfortable rooms. Part of the personnel in the restaurant is very inexperienced: they don't even know the dishes on the menu and cannot explain anything. The free sauna is great and there is a swimming pool for guests.
