We stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed our time here. We stayed in a garden view suite on level 1. The room was huge, plenty of space and the bathroom had a separate bath and shower. The bed was comfy enough however the bed sheets were that noisy rustly fabric which was a bit annoying. As Accor members we received a complimentary room upgrade, welcome drinks and snack in the room which was nice. The hotel definitely had the cosy ski resort vibe. ||The negatives were - no mini bar in room (would usually expect this with most 5star hotels - always nice to have the option or a couple of complimentary bottles of water/soft drinks),|The sink in the bathroom was extremely slow draining. We also could not get the TV in the bedroom to work, it would constantly turn off and we also couldn’t get chrome cast to work in there either. The tv in the lounge however was fine. ||Overall we found the hotel good value for money and would still recommend as a good option when visiting Queenstown.

I have stayed at this hotel previously and it does not disappoint. Slightly elevate which affords spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The suite was very comfortable, nice deep soaking bath and walk in shower, king size bed and excellent heating. I had a room on the 6th floor with balcony and the views are breathtaking. Close to the town centre yet far enough away not to be noisy. The dinner service very good - the homemade lasagna is amazing - highly recommended. Breakfast buffet extensive with made to order eggs of your choice, and more amazing views from the restaurant. I would highly recommended St Moritz and looking forward to my next visit.

Fantastic accommodation. It felt luxurious and was way more than just a Hotel Room. The room was very comfortable and very large. The bed and bedding were very comfortable and clean. In fact the entire Hotel was very clean. Very quiet location with amazing views of the lake and mountains. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived early to drop off our bags but were pleasantly informed that our room was ready and we were allowed to use it. The lobby had a fire place which made for a cozy place to sit and relax. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the coffee's were perfect. It was a short walk into the center of town. There is a Bus stop very close by as well. The Queenstown Buses were brilliant. We purchased a Bee Card at the Airport for NZ$5 (2 people can share 1 card) and were able to use it to get into town for NZ$2 per person (website says you must register it online to get the $2 fares). Buses depart every 15min from early until late.

Had a very comfy stay at St Moritz. Bed comfortable, reasonable shower pressure, lovely bathroom liquids, quality towels, clean. No mini bar or snacks in room, not a big deal for me might be for others. Beautiful foyer sitting area, generally great decor throughout. Sensational views to the snow capped mountains.||Close to the CBD, easy walking distance but note steep climb from the main road, not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues unless you catch a taxi or Uber. ||Had dinner one night and it was okay. Breakfast had a decent spread and cook to order available was well executed.||Stand out here was the lovely staff, hope the Hotel looks after them! Pauline, Sunil, and Michelle always had a smile on their face when saying hello. Maddy needs a special mention, I had a problem with the heating and phone, and she remedied my concerns immediately, fabulous service.||Would have given 5 dots if the dining menu was more expansive and elevated prices reflected quality.||Overall a nice stay.

We stayed at the St Moritz Queenstown for 6 nights to celebrate my birthday, travelling with my wife and our 8-month-old baby. We booked a 1 Bedroom Alpine Lake View Suite, and it was the perfect base for our trip. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the centre of Queenstown—but still peaceful, with incredible views over Lake Wakatipu from our room. The suite itself was spacious and well-appointed. The large lounge area gave us plenty of room to relax, and the kitchenette was really handy with a baby in tow. The bathroom featured a large bath, which was a nice touch after long days out exploring. The hotel was well-prepared for our little one, providing a cot and even a nappy bin, which we really appreciated. Maddy at check-in was particularly welcoming and helpful, and it was nice to have my ALL loyalty recognised. We received our welcome drinks, but there was no upgrade offered despite availability in other room types. There were a few small misses during the stay—housekeeping did skip our room one day, and on our first morning, there was confusion around whether breakfast was included (which it was, and was quickly sorted out). The hotel also advertises a “famous pinot tasting” at the bar in-room, but none of the bar staff seemed to know anything about it, and we noticed several other guests asking about it during our stay. Parking is available onsite (at a cost), and while a bit pricey, it's really the only option as street parking nearby is very limited. Breakfast each morning was great—the buffet had a good selection and the dining area has stunning lake views. Despite a few hiccups, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return. The location, comfort, and warm service made it a memorable trip.

Before we even checked in, Raj upgraded our room for us which was great. Maddy was great when we checked in. Really helpful, gave great recommendations and was a great presence at reception. Room was really good, beds were comfortable and all the facilities were well maintained. Overall I really great stay and would definitely return. Hotel is located up a steep hill, wasn’t much of an issue for us but could be for others. Only downside was the breakfast was sub par for $40pp, can get a much nicer breakfast in town for a lot less.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. When we checked in, the staff parked my car in the parking garage as I wasn't comfortable with parking it in a tight garage. They showed us to our Lake View room and it was disappointing. The room did have lake views but we were on the top floor and the windows were the ones in the building dormer and about 4+ feet off the floor. So, the only way to actually see the lake was by standing at the window. You couldn't sit in a chair and see the lake. We complained some and they said they would see what they could do. Thankfully they moved us to a lake view with balcony room on the 5th floor. That room and the view was exceptional. And the balcony was nice so have so we could open the doors and enjoy the weather. It is a juliette balcony so you can only have one person stand there. But still it was very nice and we really appreciated the staff moving us for the two days we did have the room. The hotel was attentive when we asked for a bucket of ice for evening cocktails. I used the hotel coin operated laundry once and the staff had change for the machines and the machines worked well. It was nice to get some laundry done during our long trip. We had the breakfast buffet one day and it was very good and the dining room (and bar) have amazing lake views as well.

I have had an amazing time at the Hotel St Moritz. I normally wait until the end of my stay to review, but I’ve only just arrived and can already tell it’s going to be a great stay. The check-in process was smooth, and they held my bags until my room is ready. With a close proximity to town, it was easy to go in and grab a coffee while I waited for my room. I booked a suite, and it is very large compared to some other hotel suites that I’ve been in. It’s a bit of a Tuscan luxury style, but feels modern at the same time. The hotel has a gym and an outdoor hot pool. Overall, I would say I definitely recommend it. One note worth mentioning, it’s a pretty steep hill walking back from town. So if you have issues with mobility, you might have a little bit of difficulty during your stay.

Yelp
This place was LOUD. Our room was awful and tiny for considering what we paid. We could literally touch the ceiling of our room. Our friend's room was double the size for same price. We tried to upgrade but they wanted to charge us $160/night yet online it was less than $50/night. We've been all over the country and all sorts of places. This was the top price/rated and by far the worst experience. Concierge was nonexistent. This place is crazy to have that high star of a rating. I truly do not like to write negative reviews unless warranted.

Yelp
We choose Hotel St. Mortez for it's location and breathe taking views of the lake. We were upgraded to a suite upon check in. Breakfast was cooked to order and offered everything you might want. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with a separate shower and soaking tub. Molton Brown toiletries was a nice touch. Check in and out was seemly. One thing to note, there is a hill back to the hotel from town. It's pretty short but will leave you winded. Everything you need for a luxury stay in Queenstown.

Yelp
The hotel is fabulous. Spectacular views of the lake and mountains from our "Juliette" balcony. As for the restaurant, don't waste your money on a mediocre (at best), expensive breakfast buffet. Too many great places to get breakfast just 5 minutes away.

Yelp
Unfortunately, our "lake view" room was quite underwhelming. LOCATION Very close to downtown restaurants and bars, however it sits up on a decent sized hill. So be aware if you have small children, abundant luggage or do not want to walk up/down a hill every time you want to go into town. We also had a tour bus unable to drop us off at our hotel since they could not fit in the driveway of the hotel. ROOM The hotel is clean and well designed, however during our stay (which was the beginning of our honeymoon in NZ) we had to move rooms halfway through since we wound up extending our stay. We started in the lake view room on the 3rd floor and moved to a garden view room on the 2nd floor, only to discover we had the same view: the back of a building with a partial view of the lake. RESTAURANT / BAR As others have mentioned, do not waste your money on the bar or restaurant. We had drinks during happy hour that were absolutely dreadful and the continental buffet was ~$32.00/ person for sparse fruit, yogurt and a few baked goods. SERVICE Again, very underwhelming. When we expressed our frustration with paying significantly more for a poor lakeview room, the receptionist apologized, but would not move our room. When we checked out, I mentioned our disappointment again about the view. I also mentioned we were surprised that we had turn down service for our lake view room but not for the garden view room. After I pushed the receptionist, he waived our credit card fee, and told us he would tell the manager about our concerns. It's been a week and we have not been contacted about any price adjustment. The cost of this hotel is not worth the experience. There are a myriad of other hotels in the area that offer more value than the Hotel St Moritz.

Yelp
What a spectacular hotel! The service was friendly and great, quick to resolved problems we had. The design is very glam but modern. Safe to say we didn't want to leave. Their breakfast room service (all we managed to eat there) was INCREDIBLE. If your plan is to walk into town it's a bit of a steep incline back up to the hotel but a little workout never killed anyone.

Yelp
Overall, very nice hotel and met my expectations for the price I paid. LOCATION: The hotel is perched up a hill along the beautiful Lake Wakatipu, and a 5-minute walk to the "heart" of Queenstown (the city center is very small, so don't expect too much). Because of the hill, some of the rooms have stunning views of the the lake (and some have less stunning garden views). Some people on TripAdvisor have complained about having to go up and down this hill though it's completely manageable ... so they even set up a shuttle that will take you to the city center! SERVICE: As you would expect in a high-quality hotel, the staff is very courteous and goes out of their way to help you. The valet and front desk agents were very helpful and stored our bags until our room was ready, then took them up for us without asking. AMBIENCE: Very nicely appointed lobby; fireplace and comfy chairs entice a lot of people to hang out in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine. There is also a nice restaurant / bar with a great view of the water. My only complaint here is that the bar seems to close quite early, so you can't enjoy the aforementioned glass of wine after 10 pm. ROOMS: First, the thing I look for is cleanliness, and I had no issues there. The sheets and towels were stark white, the bathroom was super clean, and the room had been well appointed. Our room was quite small and had a garden view, even though we told them we're on our honeymoon (I didn't take points off for this). TIPS: -- the hotel doesn't offer free parking, but you can park along the street on the hill fairly easily for free

Yelp
Best of Queenstown, our room/suite was equipped with kitchenette and washer-dryer. Wonderful bar and restaurant looks over the mountains and lake. Small but well equipped gym has one precore and also sauna. Unlimited though slow WIFI is a blessing in NZ. Short walk to EVERTHING.

Yelp
I was there mid-week for one night in the summer. It wasn't even hot outside but my room was so warm me and a friend felt like we would faint if we stayed inside. We opened the windows as far as we could and came back at 10pm. Still hot as could be. No answer at the front desk, and no answer again at midnight. In the morning they were rude and said "we are installing air con in the future" not sure how that helps the current customer base. Only stay here in the winter! Not worth the money, terrible customer service.

Yelp
Generous size rooms on the 4th floor with a view of the lake. Clean and accommodating!

Yelp
Our first stop in New Zealand was Queenstown. The hotel has no central A/c but this can be a mute issue as long as you stay on lower floors. Avoid 7th floor as this is the top floor and looks like an addition after the hotel was built. The ceilings in 7th floor are very low and it is extremely hot during summer months. The front desk was extremely uncooperative when we asked our rooms to be changed. It took threatening to move to Crowne Plaza for us to get another room. Subsequent days were lot more pleasant. If you have any issues with walking steep hills avoid this hotel. After a long day the walk can be quiet demanding. Breakfast was good and bar service was great. Gym is extremely small.

Yelp
We stayed one night in Spring (mid November). Great staff, classy place, and rooms are spacious with nice bathrooms. Serious draw back that really impacted my stay (and my overall rating) was their internet. Even though I only needed to scan through work emails for about 30 mins, it's so worthlessly slow that I couldn't get emails to load and was unable to accomplish anything. And this is just a gmail account. They shouldn't even offer the service unless they get a new provider.

Yelp
Enjoyed our 12 day stay here! Staff was very professional & helpful. The hotel is located close to downtown Queenstown- making for an easy walk. We ordered room service one night and it was delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. Would easily stay here again!
