Schiller's Manufaktur

"Culinary excellence is guaranteed at Hotel Stein, thanks to chef-patron Mike Schiller and his intriguing four- to six-course set menu, in which he skilfully combines Mediterranean and Asian influences. Flavoursome and robust, the stocks and sauces are particularly noteworthy, with the vegetable broth being a standout. Also worth mentioning is the superb quality of the ingredients. A vegetarian version of the set menu and the surprise menu can be ordered (24hr) in advance. Out on the restaurant floor, the friendly maître d', Melanie Stein-Schiller, is in charge of service. The bright conservatory and the charming garden terrace are both delightful spots in which to dine. Top tip: Head to the shop for home-made delicacies to take away." - Michelin Inspector

Had a wonderful dinner at Schiller's Manufaktur. The service was top-notch and the dining area was cozy and inviting. We wish we would have come earlier in the day to get a better view of the outdoor area. And now for the food - absolutely fantastic, went with the Garden menu. The flavors of each dish were so wonderful and the presentation was gorgeous. Couldn’t have been more pleased with the meal. One of my favorite courses was the “goulash” of pepper wrapped potato with mushrooms that came with spätzle - a wonderful German touch to an already very delicious dish. A review can’t really capture how good the food was. I’d encourage anyone visiting Koblenz looking for a meal like this to go and try it for themselves.

Great hotel located downtown right by the river, which is ideal for walking or jogging. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff is polite and professional. They have free parking and GREAT breakfast by European or American standards. I highly recommend this hotel :)

Had the 5 course menu along with the wine menu at the Schiller's Restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Extraordinary service! the best i have ever experienced, very welcoming and friendly staff. The chef came out to greet us, and one could see from his delicious beautifully presented dishes how enthusiastic and passionate he is about cooking. Made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable and our anniversary extra special. Very nice ambiance. The salmon was my favorite dish, however the vegetable dishes were also very delicious and creative. Pricey as you would expect, but totally worth it. Highly recommend!

This little hotel is a gem. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had a standard room which was more than adequate. Extremely clean. Do suggest though that you ask for a lower floor room as we had the top floor and it was very hot. The AC is a small unit that they use room air to cool but it not sufficient enough. It was cooler on the lower floors.||||The restaurant on the premises is amazing. Very good food and lovely servers. We had a wonderful first night in Germany with the Hotel Stein.||||Free parking in the back of the hotel.

We recently stayed two nights at Hotel Stein. The rooms were typical size wise for Europe but very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was sumptuous and served in a beautiful setting. There was an enclosed room and also a large, gorgeous wintergarten with views to a nicely landscaped garden. We spent a leisurely breakfast here our second morning when we had more time. Downtown was a 9€ taxi ride - not terrible when there were four of us to split the cost. I do see some people saying they walked downtown but we had to catch a boat early our first morning so it wasn’t practical. A very charming hotel.

This charming hotel is on the other side of the river from Koblenz's Old Town, about 20 minutes away by foot. Despite its location next to a large road, the room was very quiet and had a small view of the Moselle River. The buffet breakfast was excellent and was served in a room surrounded by a beautiful garden - coffee, orange juice, bread, croissants, artisanal jams, smoked salmon, cucumbers, and tomatoes, boiled eggs, yogurt, muesli, and fresh fruit. We had a fabulous stay!

Considerably overpriced hotel in need of an update. Our room was on the small side, and looked like it had not been updated in quite a while, with signs of wear. Both beds were literally sagging in the middle, creaking, and had holes in the bed sheets. The breakfast was standard fare, if you wanted something extra like an egg or fruit salad you had to ask for it as the staff would not volunteer this. One waiter was wearing his face mask hanging down while serving food. On a positive note, parking is free, and the breakfast room overlooking the garden is very nice.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The staff was friendly. Restaurant service was very attentive.||||Parking was a challenge as there are no designated spots for hotel guests. On our second night, after a full day of touring, (a Friday), we were told their restaurant was completely booked so we had to find somewhere else to eat. Thankfully the Pub down the street was lively and fun!||||The room we had was much smaller than we expected. It was not as described by Booking.com. Thursday night was quiet. Friday night and Saturday morning were very loud: heard guests in adjoining rooms running water, talking, slamming doors, etc. Our room was like a dormitory with a private bath. Not a good night's rest!
