We stayed at Hotel Suisse in a Privilege Room in early September for 7 nights and have never stayed in such a clean hotel. The Breakfast Room was immaculate every morning and our hotel room on the 5th floor (Room 54)was also spotless. The rooms were cleaned every day and we received fresh towels and bed linen on a daily basis. The housekeeping in this hotel is second to none. Fragonade toiletries were provided in the bathrooms, which was a nice touch supporting local industry. Robes were also provided, although this wasn’t mentioned in the description for the Privilege rooms. The room that we had was large and comfortable for a 7 night stay, although it would have been really useful to have a mirror above the dressing table.|We booked breakfast prior to arrival and you could either take it in the Breakfast Room or have a continental breakfast in your room. We didn’t take breakfast in our room so can only comment on the full American type breakfast offered. Every morning there were various mini pastries, a muesli and cornflake type cereal on offer, along with yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruit juices and toast. The cooked breakfast offered sausages, mushrooms, hash browns, boiled eggs and sometimes scrambled eggs. It was more than sufficient to refuel every morning.|As with previous reviews, yes, the noise from the road is quite loud but too be honest, any hotel along the promenade would experience the same noise level (even the more exclusive 5 star hotels) and this needs to be weighed up against the spectacular, unbeatable view offered from the rooms! We loved sitting on the balcony, watching the world go by and listening to the waves crashing on the beach. The location of the hotel is spot on and just a few minutes from the old town, which we spent most evenings wandering around.|It is a shame that the hotel doesn’t offer evening meals but there is a huge choice in the old town and port which are both within 5 minutes walk away. We also had two fantastic meals at the hotel next door Le Perouse. There is a QR code on a welcome card in the room that has dining recommendations and other useful information but I failed to realise this until virtually the last day, so definitely worth having a heads up about this one.|To conclude, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and if ever we were to visit Nice again, we would most certainly return to the same hotel.
