I had a one-night stopover at Hotel Taggat on my way to Dijon, and it turned out to be a lovely surprise! I chose it for its budget-friendly price and because I had stayed in the area for five nights in 2023, so it felt familiar.||From the moment I arrived, the friendly reception staff made check-in a breeze. The hotel has a small lift (just big enough for one person with a suitcase), but it got me to my floor with no issues—really, that's all that matters!||My room was larger and more comfortable than I expected. While it was simple, a standout feature was the bathroom with a deep bathtub, but the shower over the bath might be problematic for those with mobility issues. ||The location is great, with a pleasant walk along the Saône River to the city centre, and a short, reasonable Uber ride to the train station.||I walked along the river into the city centre for dinner, taking in the beautiful views of this charming city, before returning to the hotel. The bar was lively, so I opted to sit outside for a glass of wine. Once again, the staff member was friendly and accommodating.||The bed was comfortable, and my room, which overlooked a quiet courtyard, was peaceful and dark—perfect for a restful night's sleep. In the morning, I enjoyed a lovely breakfast downstairs before finishing my packing and checking out.||True to form, checkout was quick and easy, and I was greeted by yet another friendly and helpful staff member, who shared a smile and a chat.||All in all, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to Hotel Taggat in the future.
