Hotel Tayko Bilbao

My second stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff are above and beyond helpful, welcoming and knowledgeable. The ambience and vibe are perfect, I think it's a joy. The location is fabulous - not only it is on the river, all of Bilbao is accessible. The old town is just round the corner and the Guggenheim a short, beautiful walk. For those who look for such things there is a gym and a top floor lounge / work area. The ground floor bar / café is a great place to spend a little time. A couple of rooms are an odd shape, but they are as quirky as they are charming. Plenty of big rooms too. Do visit Bilbao, it's an amazing city and definitely book into Tayko.

This is a small boutique hotel, with the most endearing staff imaginable. Situated right in the heart of Bilbao, the location could not be better. |The small bar ensures that anyone who wants to make conversation, can do with other like minded people without having to move seats. Compared with the UK, the price of drinks were most acceptable. |The breakfast was served with plenty of choices, for all palettes.|Spotlessly clean throughout, I couldn’t fault this hotel.|.

Very helpful staff. Really cool building, comfortable room with l’occitane products in bathroom. Nice touches with hand written note from housekeeping with chocolates and welcome cava at check in and free drink and pinchos in the bar. Don’t miss breakfast - high quality local ingredients. Delicious. Will come back and try the restaurant next time. Great location for tapas bars in the square and parking (need to pre book and pay) close by.

Tayko Hotel is phenomenal. Arguably the best hotel on the trip. Finishings are amazing, beds are very comfortable, great soundproofing. Staff are very helpful. Centrally located in old city and on the river. Great views. Didn’t want to leave. If you’re staying in Bilbao; book here. You won’t be disappointed.

We loved Tayko Bilbao. Stylish interior, rooms good size, clean. The only small complaint is about safe location in the room. You need almost go to your knees to use the safe, because it is located very low. It may go with 20 or 30, but could be a problem if you are 60. Also coffee machine could stay a little bit higher for the convenient use. |The hotel is located very conveniently, just around the corner is the old city, to the right and over the bridge is the new city with all the shops and a lot of restaurants. Tram stop 50 meters away. |The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived by car, and they helped us with the luggage and in the parking place. |Would stay here again any time.

A fabulous hotel - staff were so helpful and professional - especially Sarai on reception and Anna in the bar. Rooms were spacious and good bathrooms - great towels too!! Would highly recommend - very central for everything.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tayko. The staff at the reception gave us a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was spotless, well-isolated, and very comfortable, with a fantastic large bed. The hotel’s central location made it easy to explore the city on foot. Highly recommended!

Hotel Tayko Bilbao is a wonderful modern hotel in the heart of the old city centre of Bilbao. The location serves as a great starting point to restaurants and all important places to see in the centre, as well as being relatively close to the highway. They don't have parking on site but they do have their own paid parking garage a couple of meters away across the bridge which was very useful. Our complements to the hotel staff which was one of the most professional we've ever seen - they all spoke perfect english, were polite, always said hello and always ready to help (they even accommodated us with an early check-in). The rooms were modern and well equipped. For breakfast you have the option to order one main course, one juice, one coffee, one fruit and one dessert. The quality was great and the presentation was amazing as well although the portions were on the smaller side. A plus is that they have vegan options (a quite big wrap).
