Miramar La Cigale Hotel Thalasso & Spa (Arzon, Brittany) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Miramar La Cigale’s facade looks for all the world like a glamorous cruise ship docked towards the western end of the Rhuys peninsula in Breton. Parasols, gleaming decks, and piscine details adorn public spaces, all suffused with the relaxation endemic to the yachting life. Thalassotherapies dominate the spa offerings, which also include a heated seawater pool and jacuzzi. There’s also a charming cocktail bar with wraparound views. Rooms come in tranquil, nautical pastels with plush linens and private balconies." - Tablet Hotels

Beautiful spa hotel designed to look like a cruise ship. We did not use any of the spa services but did, however, swim in the beautiful salt water indoor pool, which was so relaxing. Our hotel room was quite spacious, with comfortable beds and an outdoor balcony with a view of the beach. Breakfast was excellent and restaurant on site very good. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk to the harbor with restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

This hotel looking more like a ship than a hotel is a very good hotel with a wonderful staff. Located adjacent to the busy sailboat harbor with many nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself has a very nice restaurant with bar itself. The topper is that we unfortunately left several items in the room when we moved onto the next hotel on our Normandy tour. We emailed the hotel what we left. They found the items we left plus two more. They forwarded these items to us back in the States on their dime. They were marvelous. Thank you very much.

We spent 3 nights and 4 days, enjoying the spa facilities and lovely surroundings . You can do a couple of very nice walks all along the beaches and coast paths nearby. You can also walk to port Arzon. |We booked a thalassotherapy. |The rooms are comfortable and spotless, the spa is clean and pleasant. Restaurant and bar are great. Don’t forget to go to the beautiful heated salted pool at the very top of the building. |I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a rest with peace and quiet. |The staff at the reception/ front desk were welcoming and I want to thank Coline in particular and Nicolas the concierge.|We hope to come back.

Great location with spa hotel. The buffet breakfast exceeded my expectations, offering a variety of high-quality options. Unfortunately, we didn’t dine at the hotel for supper, so I can’t comment on the evening cuisine. We did use the spa facilities, but found the water temperature too cool for a truly relaxing experience. Additionally, the room was uncomfortably warm, and the air conditioning struggled to cool it down, forcing us to sleep with the window open. On the positive side, the staff were exceptionally polite and friendly, and the rooms were modern, spotless, and well-maintained.

Great design and huge rooms with all you could need. The shower and bathrooms are really 5 star. The A/C, however, is not great, and the upper temp is limited, and you can't turn it off. For the English visitors, you will need to ask for milk or drink black coffee. Meals in their restaurant are nothing special. Breakfast offers more than you can imagine and dependant on which waiter you get spoken English is good. Room service failed to deliver our coffee's, so there's a system failure somewhere. I'm not sure what the Spa offers except that you do see a lot of people wandering around in robes.

This hotel does not live up to a 5 stars hotel experience and standards.|On the positive, great location, nice building, nice rooms, very quiet and peaceful.|On the negative, No welcoming staff, a single concierge acting as doorman, butler and valet when available and during day time only. You basically have to park your car yourself and carry your luggage(s) when the concierge is not available, For breakfast, buffet only. If you wish to iron a shirt, there is no iron nor iron board available in the hotel. Dry cleaning service only.|I had better customer care and experience in 4 stars hotels. This is simply not acceptable.

Not a 5 star experience. It's an iconic building, but the hotel is lacking in real style and the kind of welcome and care and attention that you'd expect at this price. The staff in general were nice enough, but the restaurant evening food was pretty awful. Tasteless and overcooked main and dessert. The breakfast options were poor and the breakfast room overcrowded. Not worth €25 for breakfast by any stretch of the imagination. The room was nice enough as was the pool and jacuzzi, but to be honest we had a better experience later in our holiday when we stayed at a 4 room chambre d'hôte elsewhere in Brittany where the host tok real care to make sure we had a great experience during our stay. No-one at la cigale really seemed to care. Not recommended.

From moment of arrival in our car we had a sinking feeling. We had booked an inside car space. But no one at the door, came to greet, so we unloaded our bags and carried them in ourselves eventually. We then had to hand key over and ask concierge to park the car. He was helpful - but hotel needs 3/4 more of him..||At check- in a trainee spent 10 mins telling us prices in the spa - for which we cared little - before handing us our key and pointing to lifts .. So we could find room ourselves apparently . More senior staff were nearby. ||Fortunately our bags were taken and and put on a trolley at this stage.. They were brought up eventually and barely carried inside room door , but no effort made by him to come in, explain services/technology in the room or even ask if there was anything we needed||We had found our room and key didn’t work but door was unlocked . TV remote had out of date batteries and didn’t work ( which since no printed hotel details - bar spa prices of course - which was a nuisance, presumably room service and hotel details only on the TV?) Air conditioning was turned off. We eventually asked reception up twice and to be fair they sorted both issues out promptly. ||Coming back from dinner keys did not work again, back to reception and keys were re programmed without apology..||Though there was a mini bar in the room it was empty..|| In my business with connections and clients and in my profession I judge hotels on their own claims, ratings, and on what they say and offer to guests and whereas above are generally trivial they are not ( as I will comment fully elsewhere ) consistent with any true “5 star” in my and my colleagues experience and views..||Outside in a nearby field, with a deafening noise and vibration was a “pay in “ public party and a barbecue all afternoon and evening barbecue that ran ( reception told us ) every day from afternoon till 11.00 at night - even with doors shut the electronic music, vibration and bass was pounding everywhere.. Could be just at weekends, we didn’t stay to find out. Interestingly ( though hotel appeared half empty) when we complained we were told rooms on other side of the hotel were better but they were all booked out .. We stayed Friday and Saturday and were told to complain to the Mayor.||The noise meant we left entire area for each of our 2 days stay but had to put up with it any where in or near the hotel - I appreciate its not within the hotel’s control but a warning even apology would have been nice .. The hotel policy seems to be to ignore it. We would NOT have stayed in town never mind hotel had we known or informed .||Incidentally on return in our car from an outing to escape noise - once again there was no one on the door - we carried our own bags in to the two concierge inside laughing and chatting to themselves and again had to ask for car to be parked - no greeting.. trivial but we stay 5 star where possible all over the world and have never seen anything like it before..||Finally food - breakfast - a reasonable buffet - but No printed menus and no dishes offered / cooked on request - only staff around were there to clean up tables. As all over the hotel has mostly trainees only and not enough even of same. Did not see any of the senior staff anywhere.||- Dinner was also disappointing. We cancelled the second night - food not great - limited menu and poorly cooked, from frozen in some cases - we’ll comment on that elsewhere.|| Checking out same concierge came to the room to bring down our bags, got our car up|AND loaded the car with the bags - heaven knows what would have happened if he was needed elsewhere||Overall disappointed in hotel and area. We will be reporting to our colleagues, clients and connections etc on our sites. Two stars in our recommendations here as basics fine - It’s a 4 star hotel and staff, communications and extras are not up to scratch. Also not impressed with whoever permitted the afternoon and evening racket in such a nice area ..!!!

Yelp
Wonderful hotel in Arzon-Port du Crouesty. We dined in one of their restaurants, Le Safran, last night. It was one of the most enjoyable meals so far during our trip to France. Service was impeccable and the food from the amuse-bouche to the entree, main and dessert was fantastic. Each of us chose something different for each course and every single dish was amazing. Bravo!

Yelp
This is an expensive spa hotel shaped like a ship jutting into the water. Every room has a balcony and ocean view. Rooms are clean, and the shower stall even includes a pull-out clothes line if you want to wash your own clothes. Breakfast was included with our stay, and there was a wide variety of food including yogurts, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, fresh pastries....and you can even see people going to breakfast in their bathrobes. Concierge was really nice, and each room included a complimentary bottle of water.
