Hotel The Celestine Ginza (Tokyo, Tokyo) 7 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ginza is something like Tokyo’s version of New York’s Fifth Avenue — a famous commercial district that’s home to retail flagships, luxury shops, department stores, and more than a few high-end hotels. To that number we can add a newcomer, a member of a Japanese chain to join the international brands in one of the city’s highest-stakes neighborhoods. Hotel The Celestine Ginza suits it surroundings to a tee, a vision in warm, stately stone, with an imposing façade that promises luxury, tranquility, discretion, and professional service — the latter courtesy of the sharply dressed doorman who stands at attention outside." - Tablet Hotels

The Celestine Hotel Ginza is a must-visit in Tokyo, offering an incredible stay with welcoming staff, a soft and cozy bed, wonderfully soft pajamas, excellent coffee, and a stunning view that guarantees a return visit. The hospitality and comfort made my time there truly special. Adding to this, my stay at the restaurant Casita in the hotel was equally impressive. The staff, especially Natsuko, Matsumoto, and Goshiro, exceeded all my expectations. Their professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness created an incredibly welcoming atmosphere during my time spent at the restaurant. Natsuko stood out with her thoughtful approach, making the experience unforgettable. The food was outstanding, and I will enthusiastically recommend Casita to all my friends and acquaintances. I’m already looking forward to returning to both The Celestine and Casita!

We stayed for 4 nights and we had such a great time. Excellent service from everybody at the hotel and the food was incredibly good at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The rooms were nice and comfortable which made our stay in Tokyo very relaxing. The hotel is located close to shopping and nightlife which was great too.

A good hotel, welcoming staff and all very helpful. Room average to small size, some noise during the night. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Bathrooms more than adequate, clean and tidy. Wi-Fi can be a bit flaky.. breakfasts very good with choice of western or Japanese trays. Western not great but Japanese was very good. Overall would rebook, good location, plenty of eating options very close.

I spent the last 4 nights here, everything was amazing and the staff were great. Location wise it is close to all the high end brands and perfect for shopping.. my only recommendation is that the breakfast options should be more diverse it is limited to three options ( American, Japanese & French).

Hotel lobby is small, location and service is great. Rooms are larger than any Tokyo hotels. But you pay for what you get. I’ve been travelling to Japan every year for the last 15years and had stayed in many hotels in Ginza. This hotel has what an international hotel has. Coffee cups included expresso cups and cappuccino cups. Mini bar, 2 water glasses and wine glasses, ice bucket, Nespresso coffee and quality teas. The room has a high ceiling with 2 ceiling to floor windows. Overall it’s average for the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Tokyo only if you are prepared to pay Aud$500p/n.

Close by Shimbashi Station… walk in distance like 260m. Room was nice, spacious for japan standard. A tad loud at night probably due to bar scenery around. After all a pleasant stay though. Walk in distance to Ginza Six and surrounding high end boutiques…

Real neat hotel in a great location. Small room for two travelers with lots of luggage but they optimize the storage which is helpful. Typical high tech Japanese features in the room. I think I didn't figure somethings out until until we were about to leave lol. Knew exactly how to accommodate my down allergy which was very much appreciated. Didn't have the smell issue others reported. There was a dehumidifier in the room but wasn't on when we were there. Had no Wi-Fi our first evening with the hotel but they had it fixed by the next day. And the room had an Ethernet lan port so I could hook up my laptop. Didn't try the restaurant, so many great restaurants so close by.

The hotel is located between Ginza and Shimbashi stations, which makes it easy to access pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. I will likely stay there again next time I’m in Tokyo ;) Worth the price. Likes: NESPRESSO machine in room It is not that easy to find good espressos in Tokyo. This was my reasoning to choose this hotel over others actually. Quiet lobby area. Quiet room. Good shower pressure. Great view from the restaurant. You get to see Tokyo tower, various trains running and Japanese Diet bldg. dislikes: Only 2 people working at the reception during the checkout hour. The hotel does not have all designated taxi ramp, a reception who is acting as a bell service and concierge goes outside very often. I waited for 20 min. One male server at the restaurant needs a good training to learn to tone his voice especially when speaking English. Christmas carols playing as background music in April. But again, I enjoyed my stay. :)

Yelp
We stayed at The Celestine Ginza during the majority of our trip to Tokyo this past November. First off, this is a modern, clean hotel located right off a main street. They're also a short 5 min walk to the train station. As for the room, it is definitely on the small side but well organized and efficient in its layout. Small thing I noticed, I love how quickly the elevators move to come get you or drop you off. We sprung for the daily breakfast option at the hotel's restaurant and there are 3 options(Japanese, American, and a French Toast option). I tried all 3 options over the span of our stay here, and I'm pleased we picked up this option during the booking phase. Service both at the restaurant and throughout the hotel was excellent.

Yelp
Amazing experience! This is our second time staying here and this is our "go to" hotel whenever we have business trips in Tokyo. The staff always go above and beyond and they are super friendly and nice. The room is clean and nice. The hotel location is fantastic. All of them try their best to speak English and ensure you have a comfortable stay. We had a lot of suitcases and asked the front desk for help when we were about to go to the airport to fly home. The lady from the front desk called the taxi for us brought all our bags out and loaded the taxi with the driver so quickly and efficiently. I wished I had asked her name so l could tell her manager about her going above and beyond for us. It truly made our stay there so enjoyable and convenient. We will definitely stay there again. 5 stars and I highly recommend this hotel for the value, location and services

Yelp
Such an amazing hotel. The rooms are bigger than other hotels in Japan and the amenities were great. Would definitely stay here again!!

Yelp
This is what YOU Get!! I travel a lot for work and stay at hotels for about 70% of the year! This is a nice hotel if you a couple or business person looking to be in the center of it all. Very VERY convenient! Staff is incredibly friendly! Here are some things you should know! -no tipping needed for baggage help, this means the will help you with your luggage right away upon arrival and for free -FREE included Smartphone inside your room that you can use that has data, and a japanese number with free calls. -Breakfast was included for us, as we optioned the breakfast included selection when booking online Hotels.com -The rooftop has a kind staff that also can be enjoyed at night with drinks -The Hotel area is located right in ginza where you are surrounded very closely to great eateries and shopping places and Tourist attracting places to visit! -I always called for a Taxi and where I am headed and I would leave to the lobby within 2 minutes and by the time I was downstairs the taxi and a staff member was waiting! Very quick! -Security, very safe, need to use hotel card key to enter lobby after a certain time -close to Ginza6 mall, ginza crossing, pokemon center, Joypolis, Odaiba, and much more! DOWNSIDE: cost! For 4 nights it was roughly $1700 usd!!! OUCH!! I try to stay within the $150 a night range but for this trip decided to see what this hotel is about. Like most Hotels in Japan the rooms were small.. very small. For the price I was hoping for something much larger. -Taxis.. bring a Hotel card with you with the address in Japanese. This way you can just show the Taxi driver the location. The hotel must be new because nobody knew! One Taxi man said it used to the called the Nikko Hotel. (Still didnt help lol)

Yelp
My wife and I came here for the first leg of our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. We chose to take the train in from Narita Airport and walk with our bags from Ginza Station, which wasn't too bad, but Uber also works great here. Hotel is easy to find and on a main street. Service was excellent and much of the staff speaks pretty good English. Our room was pretty small, but that was expected and seems to be standard here in Tokyo. The bathroom was actually bigger than expected though and rather luxurious. Neighborhood was nice, on the quieter side but with plenty of shopping and fine dining nearby. The Lawson 24 hour store next door was a life saver too given our jet lag. We didn't opt for the included breakfast but tried the American breakfast one day, it was 3200 yen (~$30) and well worth it in my opinion. The restaurant is also a great spot for drinks with a view at night. Overall we had a great experience here and would recommend it to many visitors of Tokyo. Prices seem pretty variable; I noticed another reviewer spent over $400/night here but we spent under $300/night (booked 1-2 months in advance).

Yelp
Celestine Ginza is a nice, more modern hotel in Tokyo. The room we stayed in was comfortable, nicely lit, and always clean. They had good perks such as Shiseido and Bvlgari bathroom amenities and a cellphone you could bring to use outside the hotel just in case you need it while exploring. The bathroom had both a shower and a bath. It was great to get in the bath after walking miles around Tokyo. It seems as though most of the hotel rooms in Tokyo are on the smaller side. After opening up our luggages, there was no space to really walk around. There was also no luggage stand which was a little inconvenient. We had a little bit of a hard time with communicating with the concierge at times as not a lot of people speak great English in Japan in comparison to other countries. There were a few that were more helpful than others. The best part of the hotel was its location. It's conveniently located a short 5 min walk away to the Shimbashi Station. It is also walking distance to the lavish shopping area of Ginza. There is also a Lawson convenience store right next door to the hotel. The Tsukiji market is about a 15 min walk away. It's a more quiet area in comparison to Shibuya/Shinjuku area. Overall, I would probably stay here again.
