The 6 Best Hotels in Tokyo (Updated 2025)

"Located up in a tower on a street lined with shops, restaurants, and bars in upscale Ginza, this four-star property has very friendly staff who go out of their way to ensure a great stay. I like that they offer a variety of breakfast options so you can switch things up—French toast, an American breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit), or a Japanese breakfast featuring grilled fish, miso soup, rice, and changing side dishes. Rooms are a bit small but always very clean and well appointed with a desk, blackout curtains, flatscreen TV, safe, Nespresso machine, electric kettle, and minibar; some rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and others have comfortable sofas. The bathrooms are spacious for Tokyo and come with a shower/tub combo, bidet, bathrobes, slippers, and free toiletries (including a toothbrush and razor); they even provide pajamas, which is a nice touch. If you want to stay in Ginza—the best area in the city for shopping—this is a solid option." - Matthew Kepnes
