Hotel Tres Reyes | Best places to stay in Pamplona

"Located in Taconera Park, this big contemporary 4-star hotel has spacious rooms with wooden floors and white and black furnishings, overlooking the park or the streets of the historic centre. It boasts the only outdoor pool in the city (open in July and August). Relax in the piano bar or, in summer, by the outdoor pool in the gardens; in the evening, settle in for classic Basque and French dishes in the bustling restaurant. It’s ideal if you want to be central but not in the bustling middle of Pamplona. For those who do want to be right at the heart of things, the hotel also has three apartments in the historic centre. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Fantastic breakfast, variety of foods. Was with a tour group. Dinner provided for large group, was delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer, recommend. Great location, not far from old city and shops, bars etc. Very clean and pretty city.

This was by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! Service was amazing and even if my Spanish was very minimal there were plenty of people that could still converse with and give me the information needed. It is placed in a good location to where if you wanted to walk around Pamplona it was very easy to do so. Everything was within walking distance for all shops and restaurants. I got there for the last two days of the festival (which was awesome) so it was very crowded and parking was a little bit of an issue but they were able to get me a spot the very next day! If you are wanting to visit Pamplona I highly recommend this hotel!

I booked a large suite for 2 nights. It was not inexpensive at euro 300 @ night. Whilst it is a big suite and modern, it lacks simple items that any 4 star hotel would include. There is no complimentary water, no face tissues in the bathroom, no cups to make tea, even though there is a small kettle. They wanted to charge 5 euro to bring some to the room. I had to get them from the hotel bar. The restaurant is closed for holidays, even though this is a tourist hotel and it‘s when most tourists travel. The car parking is 19 euro a day. I would have thought that a suite would come with complimentary car parking. There were no suitcase stands. I had to ask for them. |Whilst the staff have been friendly, and the rooms tidy, I cannot recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a good location, near the old town. Too bad the parking is not accessible by elevator. With luggage you have to go around outside. We booked the hotel via Booking, where it is mentioned that the swimming pool is seasonal. When we wanted to use this facility, the swimming pool was not open (mid-June, 30 degrees!). Apparently the swimming pool opens on June 26. The staff was clearly aware of this scam. At the time of booking this could not be found anywhere, now it is... the staff admits to having had this discussion before. After discussion, and request for refund, free breakfast was offered. The parking (19€) is rather expensive. The hotel appears to be outdated: air conditioning makes a lot of noise and does not cool as expected. The bathroom is unkempt. The bedside tables had stains and one was crooked. The curtains were not blackout. No free water and coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast is ok.

Great location but totally inadequate elevators for so many rooms. They have 2 tiny 4-person (without luggage) elevators serving many floors. They only hold 2 people with luggage. The breakfast buffet can be a challenge with so many guests. Rather than having large warming trays they seem to ration out things like bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs…they put out about 8 “shot glasses” of eggs at a time. Strangest thing ever.

Excellent standard hotel located very centrally for walking to all sights and meetings. I was on executive floor and rooms were very comfortable. Only downside I found was that sound proofing was not up to level you could expect Breakfast is good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hotel Tres Reyes Pamplona is an exceptional stay in the heart of the city! The location is perfect—right next to the beautiful Taconera Park and just a short walk to the historic center. The rooms are stunning—spacious, elegantly designed with warm hardwood floors, ambient lighting, and incredibly comfortable beds. The bathrooms are modern and luxurious, featuring rainfall showers that add to the experience. The breakfast here is outstanding! A generous buffet with fresh pastries, charcuterie, scrambled eggs, and delicious fresh juices—it’s the perfect start to the day. The hotel’s restaurant, Tres Reinas, offers an innovative menu blending local flavors with international influences, making dining a real pleasure. The facilities are top-notch, from the outdoor pool surrounded by gardens to the well-equipped fitness center and stylish piano bar. Service is impeccable—friendly, helpful, and always professional. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, Hotel Tres Reyes delivers comfort, elegance, and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Pros: The rooms are spacious. Parking is available for a fee, but it is one of the few 4-star hotels in Pamplona with its own parking. The breakfast is excellent. Cons: All the staff at the reception are rude and have a bad attitude (despite being a 4-star hotel, their English is not natural). There is no electric kettle in the standard room and you can't rent one. They say you have to stay in a premium room (to use an electric kettle). Wi-fi is very slow and sometimes it won't working at all. The housekeeping staff may encounter you as they open the door without knocking. Next time I visit Pamplona I will not stay here.

Yelp
Just celebrated my birthday and retirement in Pamplona for the San Fermin Festival. I started planning well in advance and communicated with Lorea to reserve a ballroom for my dinner group of about 20. Lorea was very responsive, despite the 9 hour time difference. When the time finally came, we checked in and service has been top notch. The hotel is very nice, modern, and clean. It's located conveniently close to the San Fermin activities but not so close that you're overwhelmed. I pre-paid for breakfast which is definitely the way to go as finding food during the festival can be hit or miss. I was having difficulty receiving tickets I had ordered and Martha at the front desk went out of her way, making phone calls on my behalf. She ultimately received my tickets electronically and printed them up for me. When my event came, the ballroom (Salon Belagua) was elegantly decorated. A young gentlemen (his name escapes me) prepped everything and was joined by Mila and Kevin as my guests arrived. Several courses of delicious food and wine kept coming until we just couldn't eat anymore. Everything was amazing! And if this wasn't enough, my wife had a virtual meeting during our sand needed good wifi signal, better than what was available in the room. Technician Victor met with her and tested signal on different networks in different parts of the hotel. He ultimately set her up with a table next to a wifi antenna inside an empty ballroom. Talk about service! If I return to the San Fermin Festival, or the Pamplona area in general, I will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
nice hotel with lousy and intermittent internet. down mostly. front desk suggested "try again in morning". Bring your own phone, hotspot, and a large data plan. or find a hotel that cares.

Yelp
What a fantastic hotel! The room was beautiful with great views of the park. The bathroom was pure luxury, and the bed... slept like a baby. It seemed as if the rooms were soundproofed. There is a gorgeous bar in the lobby and it has great service. It was the perfect place to end the night with a gin and tonic. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this hotel and plan to book it again in a few months when we return. Spectacular.

Yelp
I feel it is my duty to write about what happened at this hotel to protect other unwitting travelers headed to beautiful Pamplona on holiday. The Northern Spanish people are pretty lovely to tourists especially if you try to speak Spanish respectfully, but for some reason the ones working in this hotel seem to use "the hills have eyes" meets " gestapo" playbook . They are unfriendly and incompetent, (can't find your reservation when you check in at one am after twenty four hours travel until you look at their books and find it yourself -and then a few days later - how dare you ask them to please have your room ready at a certain time - after you had to leave for work and come back- they won't ) They are obnoxious and provide zero service ( if your room lock is mysteriously broken by them and you cannot close your door that's too bad for you, and so what if you have to wait 24hrs for them to secure your door safely and you miss important meetings - why not just leave your room wide open? ) If you dare try to innocently join your party at breakfast without first giving your room number to the hostess whom you do not yet know is the hostess (you may find yourself physically pushed and frog marched by this disgruntled hostess to her desk) . After that I was afraid to go down to the restaurant. Don't bother asking them to help with a restaurant reservation elsewhere as they have zero clout and won't be able to. It's better if you call yourself you have more chance....So - unless you are a masochist who likes to be pushed around and treated like shit, then charged too much for it and then the kicker - complained about - Avoid at all costs. Zero stars for Worst service in the world. ( from someone who has travelled extensively and lived in many different countries)

Yelp
They have standard floors and premium floors. The premium floors are beautifully renovated and spacious, however please continue to check your credit card statement after you've checked out. This hotel fraudulently charge me for two pillows during the San Fermin Festival. Hopefully you guys can see the manager's comments and from his choice of words know that this place is terrible. Why on earth would I take large used hotel pillows across the world from Spain to DC??? Umm I wouldnt. I opened up a credit card dispute to get the charged handled and as most of you guys know they contact the vendor and resolve the issues....well the bank decided in my favor because they couldn't even get in contact with these clowns and they wouldn't call them back or respond to emails about the incident. They need to be reported to the Spanish version of the Better Business Bureau.

Yelp
I stayed here three times for Pamplona's San Fermín Fest. The hotel was very nice. The location was excellent for walking to the fest. The staff was very friendly and most spoke English. There is also a small fitness room and an outdoor swimming pool for when a break was needed from the festivities.

Yelp
Very nice European hotel. Likely upbeat and the staff is extra friendly. Within walking distance of the downtown area this place is excellent.
