Hotel U Zvonu

I've spent there two nights, and was first time there. The checkin/checkout process is fast and smooth. The rooms are spacious and quiet even on the road faced side. The breakfast is ok, although it has not offered too much selections.||The only areas, where the hotel needs to pay a little bit more attention:||- wifi is ok from coverage point of view, but the speed is not the best one (8-10Mbit/s)||- in bathroom the bath curtain is too long (you are walking on it while take a shower), but the pipe for shower is too short.||||Definitely this hotel can be my 2nd option when I come back again to Plzen

There was a lot of communication with the hotel in advance of our stay, and they were great and responsive.||||We checked in and had personalized parking for our two motorcycles at the hotel. We'd driven through a torrential downpour to get to the hotel and everything we had was soaking wet by the time we arrived. The staff were really friendly and recommended a fantastic restaurant nearby.||||The room was sweet and comfortable, and nice and quiet. Unfortunately we didn't get to do the Pilsner factory tour while we were there!

This hotel is conveniently located to allow walking to attractions in Pilsen. They also offer underground parking which makes life easy for travelers. The rooms and clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The staff are all very kind and friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the best of any place that I have stayed. They offer eggs and meat products in abundance. My favorite are the fresh fruits - watermelon, apricots, apples, mandarin oranges, pears, pineapple, etc I have never been to place with such an assortment of fresh and just ripe fruit. They also have fabulous bread assortments as well as sweet rolls. They even have a top of the line coffee maker and you just push the button choosing coffee, hot water, or cappuccino. So delicious!

Nice hotel at a central location .with friendly and helpful staff. Best breakfast in a long time. Nice clean room with pleasant beds. Roomy bathroom with bath and amenities. TV and minibar. Location of my room at the side of the tram made it noisy, room was pretty warm as the air-conditioning only made noise and no cold air at all. Our group had several rooms and they all had that AC issue. Still a 4 star score due the other good points.

I have reviewed this hotel several times in the past but I feel that I want to do it again. Each time we stay here, I am impressed by the incredible staff. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. I made a mistake on my reservation and didn't realize it until just a few days before arriving. When I contacted the manager, Veronika, she told me that they caught my mistake and made the correction. The service that they provide is unlike that of any hotel I have ever experienced. We had a group of 5 people leaving for the airport at 3:00 A.M. Since we would not be there to enjoy their great breakfast, they provided a bagged meal for each of us. I just can't say enough good things about this hotel and the people who run it. I am already looking forward to going again.

My husband and I went to Pilsen to visit family for three days. We stayed at U Zvonu. Check in was good, clean and modern room, good value. Next to two parks, 10 minute walk to the train station, a few blocks from the center with restaurants and shops. Breakfast was good. The only negative is that I am not fond of european bath tubs with the little hand shower thing, rather than a real shower.

Used to use this hotel regularly for business about a decade ago and joined some of my ex colleagues for a reunion in September. This is one of the better hotels in Plzen; it's modern, comfortable and the prices are great, although it's not the cheapest in town. The breakfast, which was included for this trip, was not great and there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but I'd still recommend it if you're staying in this town.

The garage can be booked up so make sure to reserve in advance if you have a car. The location is excellent. The Pilsner Urquell brewery is within walking distance as is the square at the town center. Good Czech restaurants are nearby. The adjacent bar and restaurants can be unwelcoming depending who is managing. We had excellent service when a woman was managing and terrible service when a male was managing.

We ordered the Waldorf salads with salmon and out came Caesar salads (apparently even though they are together under the same menu item as Ceasar or Waldorf with chicken or salmon) you can't get salmon on Waldorf salad .... The it rice was soggy and salmon was also soggy ...not great ! Well one of does not eat anchovies so we returned it and asked for Waldorf...it is drenched in dressing ...ask for it on the side !! Server was almost rude ... It got 3 because it has the potential to be a great place...the latte was nice and the ambiance is kind of cool !!
