Superb service from Kristina who was very attentive and dessert was compliments of the wonderful chef. Creative presentation and experimentation of food pairings. Delicious tomato butter with bread. Beetroot and eggplant starter was outstanding and left me desiring more. Mushroom was juicy and the potato croquettes were like vada. Liked the asparagus addition to the spinach pasta. Great setting for families and individual dining.

This hotel is so great we added an extra night to our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel has wonderful amenities. The breakfast buffet has lots of options amd was very good. The spa has a beautiful heated pool and jacuzzi and saunas to relax in. The service was also great, everyone is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again. We stayed in the air conditioned suite and it was great.

We really loved everything about our stay in Gengenbach at Die Reichsstadt. The service was great, we enjoyed everyone we spoke with and they always had suggestions or were offering to help or get us something we may need. The included breakfast was my favorite, such a lovely selection and everything was so fresh. My biggest complaint was that they didn't open breakfast until 8 since I am an early birdie. We had dinner one night at the fine dining and it was very good. In fact the meal my husband had was probably his favorite of the trip. We also tried out the sister restaurant, Cocotte and it was a bit more laid back and the food was delicious. The town was very walkable and close to the train. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other visiting the area.

What a wonderful hotel in a perfect location. This family owned hotel really takes pride in service and attention to detail. They were extremely accommodating and welcoming. We ate dinner at both the hotel’s restaurant, and the sister location next door. The hotel’s restaurant and breakfast buffet were absolutely amazing and delicious. We had one of our best meals from Germany here. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so special.

Perfect place for a romantic or business getaway, the staff and owners are so kind, polite and always willing to help. The location is in the village center surrounded by the black forest, dinning provides some great food with refreshing drinks, pool and spa for that extra relaxation. 2 restaurants, the rooms and hotel has a unique design that fits perfectly to the travelers needs.

Amazing hotel, oh my goodness!!! We stayed here for one night as a part of an inn to inn hiking tour through the Black Forest. The staff were so sweet and welcoming and had already put our suitcases in our rooms. They encouraged us to enjoy dinner at Cocotte next door and explore town. My husband was really impressed with the pool and hot tub and the scenery above Gengenbach rooftops was stunning and so modern meets Black Forest. Breakfast was also amazing! I’m vegetarian and lived the antipasti options. The staff showed us all the things on the buffet and we ate in the outdoor terrace. They also brought out eggs to order and were so lovely. Such a great hotel!!!
